Agree! All Mike Slamer produced projects in last 5 years I could buy without samples, cause they are always good. The only drawback I see in this case is that I am not always fan of Overland's voice. It depends on the songs actually, I liked him best with The LAdder (second one), and latest FM is also not bad.

First time seeing them live, and they are really good as advertised! Although setlist has for my taste too many less known songs, they show they musicianship and entertainment and make also them interesting. Also the sound in the Tivoli hall is usually always muddy, but today it was crystal clear. 5 songs from new CD are all good live, but the best is long Great ecpectaions, highlight of conc

Next Whitsnake album with new original material is probably not very close. After reading some interviews with Coverdael he hints that Purple album could be his last "loud, electric" record and big scale tour. But we have seen so many times bands anouncing last and similar tour only to repeat it a litte later. He mentions the next project could be Greatest hits recorded acousticaly.

When listening to interviews they mention very very often "our swedish prodicers". I think the producers have become like addtionel memebers of the band like Mutt Lange was bac in the Hysteria days and this is the sound they produce together. Not bad, but more popy and commercial sound

There was debate about outside reviewers before on this board. Idea - If there are some candidates, they could just post their reviews of current releases here on board . If they are good and "in sync" with Andrews style and opinion, maybe they will earn to be published on main site ?

Brigade is still my favorite heart record, but I digg also their latest 2, althought quite different styles. I remmeber copying Brigade to cassete at the time and I made a copy without Wild Child and Al lI wanna do, but the rest of the tracks made perfect album. Favorites ? many, but best ones "Fallen from Grace" and "Under the Sky"

I dont like Overland s voice on CD songs, but live, WOW, its the same or even better as on the record. Not many singers can claim that!

This is live ? Vocal sounds like on the record! I checked some other FM live track on youtube and he alway sounds like that. Not one of my favorite voices on the CD, but live is fantastic.

Another prove that the singer in a band is probably hardest to replace. Here we have one of the best guitarists in EVH, but Johnson s guitar here sounds very close to original, too close to recognize for most that its not original player.

I dont even own a turntable, but with vinyl records being quite popular lately, those big covers look beautiful in shops. But I still prefer CDs and already have hundreds of them. Does anyone know for a shop or site, that would sell only LP covers ? I assume they should be cheaper than whole package of Cover and vinyl record. I dont want to buy 2 products, Cd and vinyl.

Heard it once or twice but of course this is not AOR or melodicrock. so it needs a lot more listens, right mood and more focus on music, lyrics and little details. Then it will rewards the listener. Third time around...like it much more:-)

this may be interesting for some folks in several countries, because these brave sportsman, despite being also winter olimpians, are mostly unknown . This is not Eddie the eagle style, this is much longer. The ski jumping and flying season is in its final weekend and the title is still to be decided, around World record lengths. Today in Planica Slovenia, the birthplace of skiflying and this

I think it is a difference between live album (audio only) and live DVD /BlueRay. In most cases picture enhances the audio. But it really depends, it helps to be fan of the band. Most of our favorite bands are up there in years so most often the vocals are the weak spot. Last one that I found on youtube and was amazed by performance were Toto live in Poland.

Some say that Jeff Keith of Tesla sounds similar to Tyler. Few years ago he released country style EP and I liked it a lot. I am no country expert but those songs are supposed to be mor ein the old, origonal country style. my favorite is his autobiographic story about growing up in Oklahoma with his mum : http://www.reverbnation.com/jeffkeithcountry/song/14962065-oklahoma-boundclip other

when reading how great bands of melodic rock are playing in clubs to few 100 audience it is refreshing to read that Thunder is headlining 3 big arenas in UK and the shows seem to be well attended and received.

well, after hearing War of kings single I couldnt stand it, I was wondering this is a single ? But after a month it became quite enjoyable tune. Now with album its similar, after one listen theres not much there to like. But further listens are very rewarding, I notice the rich keybord textures, also guitar solos are quite melodic. The vocal hooks and choruses are there, but not immediatem, onl

I think basically it is similar, after all the same swedish producers are reponsible for sound and have writtne many songs. But I think new one is better because some of the "leftover" songs have despite rewritten choruses kept some 80s Scorpions spirit and the "hit" songs are really catchy, and the ballads for me are better.

To most of music I listen on my laptop speakers. They are said to be quite good, but you know, ist just laptop. Or in my car stereo, but I like to have Treble setting a bit higher than bass, because I like to hear voice and guitar. And there is no way you can really hear bass guitar in such envirnoment. You can hear bass in a melodic rock genre only if you listen on real loudspeakers and even

They are just for the bottom line, now. They dont think few years ahead. If they put 1 younger band as support, this would present a possibility to create a new source of income in few years, at least respected support act , if not the new star.

Ok if they want to cover Purple so they should. But the biggest problem in this is making a big secret out of it, counting down the days for this ?? Because of that most of the public had expected album with newly written music, and this is why so many are dissapointed.

http://www.mtv.com/artists/europe/ Not bad, the guitars are not downtuned, they are quite melodic, just I miss the real chorus hooks(days of rocknroll). But nice tunes, both seem to be growers , for more listening

Previous 2 LP did nothing for me. I tried listening to this and it clicked! Therea are really good choruses and poverful production. Some things going against it: The 2 videos released are for my taste among weaker tracks, why not release Wide open ? Also the release date is unfortunate, with so many releases from well known bands like Thunder, Scorpion, Revoplution Saints, Black Star riders
