Asia! John Wetton will barely acknowledge John Payne's existence let alone sing his songs. I believe Dave Gallent's biography of the band was even re-written to remove the years Payne fronted the band - sad!! No mention of any Payne era releases on website despite Geoff Downes being a fixture and both Howe and Palmer dipping in and out both on record and live performances. Compounded

I was also at the Bingley show on Monday. FM delivered on every level - great set list and crystal clear sound. As said above they look like they are really enjoying themselves. For me Vega were more than a letdown. I'm a huge Vega fan - but the 6 song set failed to capture any audience interest. It started OK but the last 3 songs sounded out of tune to my uneducated ears!! Been looking forward to last night for weeks! Openers Skin & Bone didnt really do it for me. Effectively a re-incarnation of Tara's Secret (who I love(d)) but felt this material was weak and one song sounded very much like the next. However vocalist Johnny Trowbridge gets 100% for effort.
