Well Rick himself states that he bored himself after three songs with only acoustic guitar hence the "beefing up" with the pre-recorded pieces(which he states is all him) I can see your view, but I did enjoy the album for what is. I liked the Storytellers aspect. Also liked the different take on Love Is Alright Tonite with the background vocals. And since we haven't had a live album sin

I agree, not much of a tribute (in my opinion) if we can't all pay tribute.

For me they are one of the strongest bands from their era going, both in the studio and live (sadly live based on album/dvd, would kill to see them) They still seem to have the fire!

I loved the album and saw them in San Francisco, they brought the house down. Would have loved them to continue. I will keep my ears on Andrew Watt as well.

If Tom's album was successful, then Cinderella would be successful. Manufacture in appropriate quantity.Or just sell as a download. I prefer cd myself, but like the new Quiet Riot, I would rather have something than nothing. On the live act, that is a tough one. I say acts should at the least play two tracks off a new album (or deep cut if one isn't out) just for the true fans of the band.

I got this this week. I love it, John acoustic is so authentic. Like most the only bitch is I would prefer an entire album...but that is always going to be the case.

In addition to Rick Springfield Stripped Down I hope we get a new studio album as well. With all the acting and fiction writing he is currently doing (in addition to touring...Thank God) it seems like a lot. Looking forward to new Europe as well!!!

Some great things happening to Rick's acting career of late...only took 30 yrs. I do hope it doesn't slow the music output 'though.

and beyond. David is truly a unique pop/poprock etc. voice, whom has arguably (lol) been a part of most of our history. In losing too many hero's of late, I was feeling bad that there is an old melodic rock artist to be sure whom is having some f-ed up times. Sermon short,I read he is working on new material...and I thought of this excellent proof of talent and wanted to remind him and us...he ca

Sean is actually playing with Jack Wagner at the moment (perhaps not exclusively) Being a fan of Dokken, Quiet Riot and Jack Wagner, that works for me. I like his playing.

I understand the cancellation, but have to say, even missing Jimi (hit near as hard as family...truly) I hope the band carries on with Dave. I got really lucky to see the Reno show and both singers, having never seen Dave I was blown away. Two of the great's from my generation and they were still strong!! Tragic and sad I know, but I hope the fan community shows support!

How funny, I was thinking of posting as well. Cheap Trick is my fave band, so I knew I would pick this up eventually. What a fool to wait I was. Awesome album!! I wish they would have done more. I picked up the Hanson album that followed this Shout It Out, but still too new to me to say.
