Rick Springfield's The Day After Yesterday is actually great. It feels like an album. When released I knew I would like, but it exceeded.

Absolutely!! It was a bit of a joke really. It did 'though teach me a bit about perception (public) and reality. I was 16 in'83 and felt he was right up there with Sammy Hagar and Billy Squier, who had less difficulty being accepted by my male peers. (true friends heard enough to realize) Crazy. I have never cared much for fame vs. music. I like what I like!

Just listening to and was reminded. I have grown up with this album since it's release, and can say for me it was near perfect. The songwriting and production ('83?) It still sounds thick!! And the diversity? Human Touch, Tiger By The Tail, Like Father...Title Track...shit harder than ever!! Decades before S/D/A/A. And this from a 60's performer? How did Rick have such a handle on what music in A

No shit. Most of us (women as well) have said far worse in the heat and frustration...and probably laugh at ourselves later. Dig a hole in the desert? Sounds like a bit of work...lol (and no need to jump my shit, I'm NOT undermining real abuse)

Well Rick himself states that he bored himself after three songs with only acoustic guitar hence the "beefing up" with the pre-recorded pieces(which he states is all him) I can see your view, but I did enjoy the album for what is. I liked the Storytellers aspect. Also liked the different take on Love Is Alright Tonite with the background vocals. And since we haven't had a live album sin

For me they are one of the strongest bands from their era going, both in the studio and live (sadly live based on album/dvd, would kill to see them) They still seem to have the fire!

I loved the album and saw them in San Francisco, they brought the house down. Would have loved them to continue. I will keep my ears on Andrew Watt as well.

If Tom's album was successful, then Cinderella would be successful. Manufacture in appropriate quantity.Or just sell as a download. I prefer cd myself, but like the new Quiet Riot, I would rather have something than nothing. On the live act, that is a tough one. I say acts should at the least play two tracks off a new album (or deep cut if one isn't out) just for the true fans of the band.
