This is one difficult CD to judge - anyone waiting for "another Magnificent " is of course way off track - this one is "progressive" to the extreme. It's pretty unique to my ears , undecided to date.

off the top of my head :- Joe Vanna pops in now & again. Ted Poley same. The legend that is JSS is a regular. The legend , again , that is Paul Logue also pops in frequently. Pauls former drummer Pete Newdeck every now & again. Ted Poley , when he's available. I recall Harry Hess popping by a few times. rockon2216 from Tundra drops the occasional bomb & moves on .... One of these bands that I've always felt i would love more in the live environment than the recorded - never ever thought I would see them though - that is about to change in May - super excited. http://www.blind-guardian.com/tour/

"Makes Liberace look like the fuckin Price of Darkness." quote from a Inglorious fan Robin - that said I warmed to the guy, as most posters thought , and Sir Loyd Webber agrees , he needs to calm down at times though. One Glenn Hughes is enough ( as Joe Bonamassa can confirm ).

Nathan has a stunning voice without doubt, but imo he needs to learn to "sing" - he is simply unable to control/harness that power live - the well publicised "vocal acrobatics" are way over the top and simply not required. He spoiled as many songs last night as he enhanced. That said I liked his stage persona last night , he seemed really grateful for the support , seemed

You know what Mark, as killer as he is, I could not sing you one of his solo's back to you. Interesting consideration Paul , certainly Schon at his melodic "sing a long" best he certainly is not but Symph X can be a harsh, aggresive metal beast these days live and Michaels style is perfect. I certainly imagined that I'd heard notes I've never heard before - this related lyrical passa

to be fair - the Daisys have always made it clear that they are a "collective" rather than a "band". The mention of Franks wealth reminds me of the Tour bus they appeared in a couple of months back prior to playing in front of a couple of hundred people in Glasgow - this thing was simply spectacular. Money talks!!

can't go wrong when you have John Corabi on drums and Pete Newdeck on vocals .... Just kidding , that's a great tune - I need to investigate further.

It is definitely a "progressive" CD. Stretched the boundaries a bit this time , which is no bad thing. 2 over-riding thoughts at this stage :- 1) Jordan is in charge on this one. 2) Great to hear the more "progressive" less "metal" approach allows James to sing rather than shriek....

Esoteric Symbolism is well worth picking up as well Paul - a different beast no doubt and certainly less accessible however a real grower. Perhaps more "nu prog metal" than Halo , primarily due to the guys vocals and Dean shreds a lot more on ES than Halo , but I like. Remember being that impressed with Dean that I checked out another band he was in , Meshiaak (sp?) they were called
