yeah - agree , excited to see them again but disappointed Jon will not be there , and gutted it's the Cathouse - least favourite venue. Fortus is some player though so overall excited.

great post Sean , Braintoto mentions "very bi-polar in nature" earlier in thread, that unfortunately appears to be a best case scenario. Hopefully TD can find help & health in the short term, and look for forgiveness later.

"followed by dazzling solo numbers from Hoekstra and Beach. Not to be outdone, Tommy Aldridge got some well-earned time in the spotlight with an amazing drum solo" kinda lose interest at that point to be honest. But to be fair , in their day ( and there were many ) , my favourite live band.

to get back to Yes .... it's not just the band members ... it's the album Drama - the one splits Yes fans like no other - no Toto/Foreigner/Journey CD will have divided fans so much - even Unusual Heat is actually "accepted" - Drama never was.

so a band called Yes , which will include neither Jon Anderson or Rick Wakeman , and unlikely Chris Squire...will play Drama in full. Bizarre doesn't even begin .....etc etc I guess as long as the Asia guitarist, and the Buggles keysman is there , they are entitled to do this. Glasgow Royal concert Hall here I come.

Liking this melodic power metal band , loving Tom Braden's vocals - there is a hint of Tate in there at times but in this cover he is pure DeYoung. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bno7AvRJKy0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtzuL5lg5Ko http://www.dangerdog.com/2015-music-reviews/artizan-the-furthest-reaches.php

interesting the credit the band give to Russ Russell for the "sound" of 'Long Road Made Of Gold'. They are not looking to be "retro". Job done - great CD.

thanks for all responses guys. I had briefly considered giving this gig a miss as had seen UFO "hundreds" of times. Thank goodness I did not - brilliant form , and a band really enjoying themselves & not taking anything too serious. Mixed the set list up again big time from those previously listed. Sir Phil in top form and announcing Run Boy Run from new album "Curiosity of S

not great imo - relied a lot on his mate , and the audience , to cover him. Did the Coverdale conducting thing too often for me - I'm there to hear JLT sing no some drunken Scotsman. And I really never , never need to hear Smoke on the Water or Hush again as long as I live , certainly not acoustic and from some guy with absolutely no connection to the original - with a back catelogue like he ha

In truth Thirteen is somewhat of an AOR masterclass, I particularly enjoyed the almost Queen-like guitar break in "Live It", a song which digs into the brain like a mole burrowing in a field. I can see a much younger and hipper band like We the Kings having a huge hit with the vaguely pop punk "Early Warning Sins" and there's the only rub I can find with the album. I just

Great album , Dans' "extreme metal" background will put many off but there really is far more to the guy than that "label". http://www.seaoftranquility.org/reviews.php?op=showcontent&id=16875
