They've got a blue cross sale on at HMV at the mo. Anything marked with a blue cross has 25% off. There are loads of them including Frontiers releases. I got Eclipse - Bleed And Scream for £9, Kiss - Monster for £7.50 and Lit - View From The Bottom for £7.50. Not exactly new releases but not that old either.

Finally got a copy of Status Quo's 'Ain't Complaining' album on CD and forgot what a gem this song was :- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1UxgVVGQjA Great pop/rock (AOR?) from the much maligned 80's Quo.

Frankie Sullivan (regardless of all the stories i keep reading about him!) and Butch Walker. There are others but these 2 are top of the list.

Looks like it was just me then that thought Jessie J was crap. I just can't stand that type of singing. Shouty and no control. IMHO of course. When Brian May came on it was great and then she joined in and ruined it. Shame. The Who were superb as was Eric Idle.

The Doors - Bore me shitless Iron Maiden - See above Rush - Apart from Spirit Of Radio and Tom Sawyer, they do nothing for me Journey - While I do like Journey, I really don't understand why they are classed as the ultimate AOR band in many peoples eyes. Sorry :o(

Stages by ZZ Top. I love that song but I always felt the chorus was a bit of a let down after the excellent melody of the verses.

Totally agree regarding Lana Del Ray and Adele. Way over-rated in my book. Both great cure for insomnia though :o) I'll add my vote for Bruce Dickinson and Mark Boals too. Can't understand the dislike for Danny Vaughn and JSS though but each to their own.

While listening to Frehley's Comet 'Second Sight' the other night, I've always loved the 4 self penned Tod Howarth tracks (Time Ain't Running Out, It's Over Now, Fallen Angel, New Kind Of Lover) the most off the album. I've never heard any of his solo albums so, can anyone tell me if these 4 songs are representative of his solo output and if so which albums do you recommend? Thanks in advance.
