Yeah, this cover is terrible. Their last album is pussified mellow crap. Other than that, I like them. :)

It's ok, but kind of a plodder for a first single. Doesn't make me feel too confident that it will be a rocker.

Walk in the Shadows, I am in the same boat as you. I had just gotten into their music about a year before he passed..... I drive a lot and they are in constant rotation. I am hoping maybe they will open a vault and find all these rare demos of Steve and give us a chance to hear his voice on an unheard song some day.

I guess I am in the minority that thinks they haven't put out a shit album ever. Everything they have released has been great.... Well, unless you count that twisted wires crap or all of the live albums. I have loved every original album they have done. But I also rank Psychotic Supper as one of their weakest albums. 1. Mechanical 2. Bust a Nut 3. Into The Now 4. Great Radio 5.

Thank you Adolfo for doing this. I use this for all my album purchases.

I have listened to it over and over in my car and anyone who says this is not a huge departure from the EC sound is clearly either kissing Paul's ass or is too close to the product to make a impartial judgement. If I didn't know who it was I would never guess EC. I like the song. As I have said before I would prefer the guitars more prevelent in the mix, but it is a good tune.

I don't mind AORish when I am in the mood for AOR. The mix kind of brought the keys to the forefront maybe more than I like. But I am a sleeze rock fan, so my ears aren't trained for the keys/synth... ;)

More melodic than metal this time around. Guitars are a bit in the background in this mix. Not sure I like.

Yeah, I agree here... I am a huge, huge TP fan, but this cd is just blah...... needs more guitar for me. Defiants is solid, but not Great. I enjoyed it, but haven't listened to it for a while. It didn't stick.

I like the new one better than Coup. Coup is ok, but the latest is great. A little more guitar this time around, which I always love.

My first spin through the Defiants and it is awesome. Exactly what I was hoping for.

Brandon's twin brother Brent also had a hand in writing some of the tunes.

Brandon wrote most of the tunes over the course of the last 10 years. Tracii added his 2cents to them. I'd say 2 or 3 were written together before recording them.

All that he said is true though. He was asked to fill in. It was Jack that took the tour and he was using the Great White name at the time.

The first 3 songs are great... The lyrics are juvenile, but the first 3 songs are rock anthem heaven. AFter that, the cd takes a complete shit dive.

I love the melodic complexity of the chorus. It's there, you just have to dig in a little deeper.

it's ok.... but they should have re-recorded the spots where he sings blatantly off key.... I mean bad.... And yeah, production is shit. No consistency at all. Vocals, guitars, drums, they all fade in and out at random. Annoying.
