Agree with you about Room Experience and I am a big fan of David Readman. Absolutely love that one!! Not so hooked on Outlasted yet but it sounds pretty good.

I have to eat my words I think. I was a huge doubter about this whole Axel on vocals for AC/DC thing but Axel seems to be doing a damn fine job of this. I am impressed. He sounds REALLY good!! Great to see him up and about walking around now to. I hope his ankle heeled well.

Cheers for the links. I don't think we get this channel here in NZ but I liked the sound of some of those artists (A couple were a bit to poppy for my taste). Lately I have been really enjoying the rock/country feeling coming from artists (after Keith Urban, Darkhorse and the new Rick Springfield) and I will look these up. The problem is I really don't know who to look for to fill that need. Not

Hmmm, nothing I heard there I like at all. I saw them last year and was disappointed and unfortunately these tracks don't help. They have completely lost me from being a huge fan of their 80's and 90's stuff.

Thanks Don. I have heard 'Stick it to Ya' but prefer Darkhorse and The Defiants. The songs are good but sound too dated to me. I like the CD but I don't play it on a regular basis anymore.

I can see what you are saying Terry but for me, The Defiants, Ted's and Vega are all excellent and I can't really split them. If I had to choose maybe The Defiants, then Vega then Ted's. BUT too hard to choose. Spoilt for choice in the past 6 months. I am a fan of the Martin Bros writing so far so that is not a problem to me. The Defiants - Every track is awesome! I don't love it but do like it and look forward to hearing some more. His vocals do sound different though? Is it just me but it almost sounds like the track is heading into the country rock sound?.

For some reason Steve Overland's voice just doesn't do it for me, and I have listened to a lot of FM. Also I find the Vega tracks are more catchy and have more 'punch'. It did take me sometime to get used to the vocal style of Nick Workman but now I do like it. Apart from a few tracks - mainly off Wings of Heaven and On A Storytellers Night the Magnum style doesn't get me excited at all.

They have grown on me more and more each release and I don't have the same problem with them. For me they rate better than FM or even Magnum - I have never been a Magnum fan anyway. :)

I don't buy anywhere near as much as most of you guys but this year has been a great year for me (I know some are 2015 releases but I bought them this year): Khymera - The Grand Design Find Me - Dark Angel The Defiants - S/T Vega - Who we are Treat - Ghost of Graceland Rick Springfield - Rocket Science Darkhorse - Let it Ride Blood Red Saints - Speedway Ted Poley - Beyond the Fade Amb

It also took me a while to get the acquired taste for Nick Workman's vocals and I like them now - but the songs are superb. I have all of the CD's so far and waiting patiently for my pre-order of 'Who We Are' to arrive. I loved the tracks I have heard so far!

Cool. No Reckless at the mo Terry. I just got home from work and JSS getting spin time at the moment with the Defiants probably to follow (or maybe Rick Springfield's new one?) - with a glass of wine as promised :)

Sigh - ok. Just saying how I see it. Mine is also in great condition. All I was saying was that its not as stable as a normal digi as its got a larger cardboard spine due to being a double cd and therefore more flexible. :)

No, unfortunately not Terry. At least not on my copy. The extra tracks are: Let me down easy Teacher teacher The boys night out Draw the line Play to win Too hot to handle Reckless And the second disc is a live disc.

The only problem with this digi is that being a double the spine is quite a bit wider and therefore feels even more flexible than a single digi. Extra care definitely required. It is a great little package though.

And worse than normal as a being a double CD the the spine is more 'flimsy' than normal. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/flimsy :)

I have the 2 CD version ('Reckless' with extra tracks and 'Live at the Hammersmith Odeon'). It's a great little package with a booklet that has the lyrics and plenty of info as well. Only let down is the flimsy digipak packaging:(

I felt the same about Nick's voice initially from the first CD but after repeated listens and the later releases I have grown to enjoy it more and now it doesn't wear on me anymore. Last night I listened to a Vega compilation from all the current CD's of about 25 songs without a problem. I love the songs though anyway:)

Holy Crap!I just listened to White Flag and every new track I have heard so far - I think we have heard 5 - has been stunning in my book. I can't wait for the release and just in time for my birthday. This and Ted's release will be on my present list.

I am liking what I have heard. Fun music! Apparently they have had concerts last year in the UK which may be linked to the this release. Here's a BBC interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tj5zL_5b-4

Also feel the same way as you guys. After CDG I purchased 'Weapons of Choice' to get an overview of their older stuff before looking further. It was pretty much 50/50 like/ average (my ears). In saying that the tracks I did like -I burn for you, World of promises, Ride me high, Get you on the run, and Still in heaven were great. From there I didn't really venture to anything else. Big fan of C
