I just saw that on the news tonight here in NZ Don. Looks pretty bad. I hope its not as bad as it could be and my thoughts to everyone concerned.

I felt the same about Nick's voice initially from the first CD but after repeated listens and the later releases I have grown to enjoy it more and now it doesn't wear on me anymore. Last night I listened to a Vega compilation from all the current CD's of about 25 songs without a problem. I love the songs though anyway:)

I agree - all the albums are great and based on what I have heard so far this sounds like the best.

No 'modern feel' about that and I REALLY like that. Hearing that makes me want to go back in time:) Thanks for the links guys.

Holy Crap!I just listened to White Flag and every new track I have heard so far - I think we have heard 5 - has been stunning in my book. I can't wait for the release and just in time for my birthday. This and Ted's release will be on my present list.

I am liking what I have heard. Fun music! Apparently they have had concerts last year in the UK which may be linked to the this release. Here's a BBC interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tj5zL_5b-4

Also feel the same way as you guys. After CDG I purchased 'Weapons of Choice' to get an overview of their older stuff before looking further. It was pretty much 50/50 like/ average (my ears). In saying that the tracks I did like -I burn for you, World of promises, Ride me high, Get you on the run, and Still in heaven were great. From there I didn't really venture to anything else. Big fan of C

Now Graham Norton is a different story. Really love his shows and how he relaxes all his guests with some great stories coming out.

It looks like comedians are as subjective as music:) I can't stand Jim Carrey or Will Ferrell!!! But they are really enjoyed by a lot of people.

Least favourite for me too - but I still like it and by no means a bad song. The whole CD is great. This track gives a bit of variety to the listening experience.

I love Jimi's voice and I think the 'One Man's Trash' release is absolutely awesome! However I might be the only one but I just can't get into anything done with Peterik for some reason (including Pride of Lions) so Crossroads Moment and Extra Moments just don't do it for me. I assume you have heard 'Never To Late'? That's an excellent recent Jimi Jamison release too.:)

I also detest them and try and stay away from a CD in that packaging.Unfortunately they are sometimes unavoidable then I copy the CD, use that and put the digipak away in storage (something that should have to be done).

I like the song but love the huge amount of passion he puts into it more. Makes you 'feel' the song more (if that makes sense).

I agree with Wardy. I have seen plenty of self promotion on this noticeboard from CD releases, magazines, and info on other websites. I don't see an issue, especially as it appears to be interviews which we don't see on here very often.

Personally I didn't think it was strange at all. I read into it as Jeff saying it was not written with the MR crowd in mind - ie: us - and if most of us didn't really 'get it' then he did his job. However there are some on here such as you who might like it - great! There was no problem with his comment. Me - well I am in the 'don't really get it' crowd.

Elton John in the mid to late 70's. The opening song still sticks in my memory. Lights go down, dry ice starts taking effect and then Funeral for a Friend starts up leading into Elton and the band getting into Love Lies Bleeding - AWESOME!!

No, just TV speakers, but I am not talking about the sound system. Its the style of song they write for me that, for me, melds into one song with little to no variation. Like I said though I do enjoy some of their tracks as I grew up with them. Just can't imagine enjoying them live.

AH, finally someone who has the same feeling about them that I do:) Don't get me wrong I like the CD's (like you though RN most bit not all), but just can't imagine sitting through an entire 2 hours + concert listening to what seems like the same song. My wife (She was also brought up on AC/DC and likes them) and I watched a live show a few months ago on TV. My wife made the comment herself ab

I probably wouldn't consider The Grand Design Heavy though Don - heavier maybe (being a bit nit picky maybe but kinda gives a wrong impression by calling it heavy). All that is different to The Greatest Wonder (Awesome CD TOO!!) is that there are more guitars going on in it that I hear and you can definitely tell that there are different song writers involved. It still has the Khymera sound

I love all of their releases Terry, except the first with Steve Walsh, but their latest 'The Grand Design' is the best so far. It has a slightly heavier 'feel', without being heavy (I hope that makes sense), and I think it doesn't have one of your pet hates - the songs don't all sound the same (to me anyway). I adore it and can't stop listening to it!!

Well done Andrew! I have been around since 2000 and there isn't many moments in the day, apart from when at work, that I am not visiting the site. I can can only agree with all that has been said in this thread. My enjoyment of listening to music, I am not a muso, has been magnified in the time I have been visiting here. My wife HATES YOU:) I have tried to support you where I could, but you de
