Agreed. I also loved New Religion but hugely disappointed with Riot Avenue. This so far sounds better for me.

I have forever been a fan of Jimi Jamison and shocked as all to hear of his passing - to the point of how I felt about Steve Lee's passing. UNBELIEVABLE! The copy I have of Vital Signs is the original Scotti Bros version. The question I have is whether the Rock Candy is a definite step up in production and worth getting. While I always enjoy the original CD the tinny production sometimes doe

This is just one of those interesting subjects I often think about. I sometimes sit, stand, or whatever here listening to some of my 'current' favourite bands such as H.E.A.T., Nickelback (although these guys are getting into the older category). Shinedown, W.E.T., Vega, to name a few. But sometimes I just want to go back in time. It could be Bryan Adams, Def Leppard, Foreigner, Great Whit

I have no idea if this is the case but just maybe he doesn't want to be one of the 'faces' on Bon Jovi. He may prefer to be able to walk/drive/travel around without being as instantly recognised as the others in the band are. I would certainly consider staying in the background in that situation. I think that everyone just assumes its Jon's decision to cut him out of the publicity but it may

Thanks Disc rat. I had heard of Redrum but didn't know that Mr Bormann was lead vocals for them. They sound pretty good - definitely more my taste than the current version of Jaded Heart. I will have to try and track down the CD's I think. As for Firefest Darren, being in NZ that is a no go for me unfortunately, as much as I want to go, and I didn't know enough about Redrum to take much noti

Sounds like the Nickelback I like - great track. I was hoping they wouldn't change much and hopefully with some more cracking ballads on the new CD a'la 'Lullaby'. Really looking forward to the new CD and hopeful for NZ to be included in the next tour.

I was listening to some of the new Jaded Heart sound bites below - not to my taste at all - and wondered what Michael Bormann is up to at he moment. Anyone know? He has been pretty quiet for a while, unless there is something I have missed.

A couple of years ago the Ringo All Star band came to tour NZ, and at the time without knowing anything about it didn't consider going, big mistake and I should have investigated further!! I heard afterwards that Richard Page had been the vocalist and this is the sort of stuff I missed out on. Bugger!

Cool!! I am loving this. The first track 'Here with Me' for me does seem the odd one out but the rest of the tracks I adore. My question though Andrew, if you know, is why did they feel they had to change their name from '91 Suite' to 'Secret' (Being that there is still 2 members of 91 Suite involved) as the music is not a great difference from the 91 Suite stuff.

Yea, great job Glasgow.Shame about the weather nearing the end of the games. I tried to watch as much as I could on Free to Air TV here in NZ but the time difference made it pretty difficult with most of it being in early hours of the morning here.

Sometimes as much as I love living in New Zealand (And I wouldn't want to live anywhere else) I do get very frustrated with what we miss out on down here and get very jealous when I see festivals like this. This is a great lineup.

I adored the movie, slightly more than 'Rise'. It was a great mix of action and emotional attachment. I couldn't help but get involved in the story instead of just sitting through a movie as often happens - I even had a lump in my throat in parts. Andy Serkis was huge as Caeser and the special effects by WETA were incredible!! I am usually not a fan of CGI but this movie was so believable visu

Hmmm, I actually really liked 'Love and Money' (not rocky but so what) as much as any other of his releases - I love 'Ready Eddie', 'Can't Hold back', Right Here, or even 'Nothing to Lose'. I am interested to see what the new one sounds like
