Geez, some of you give the Captain a hard time when I believe this was a fair thread.
I personally think it sounds fantastic to me - especially being only a 14 year old. I am impressed but perhaps easier for me as I don't know this piece of music, not being Van halen fan or a musician.
And whats not smiling got to do with it anyway? Forum: Noticeboard
I totally agree with the Pretty Maids comment. That is a band which you cannot put in a pigeon hole. I absolutely love their melodic stuff but don't like the harder stuff. That makes it a hard decision to buy a CD of theirs sometimes for me.
As for JLT I am probably more into his Sunstorm period, although the last couple have done little for me, I can understand the comments about it being too Forum: Noticeboard
Thanks Darren. Thats excellent news. Me and my family are huge fans of the series. Good old fashioned action entertainment with plenty of twists. Forum: Noticeboard
Yea, I could see that captain and it took on a life of its own forgetting about the actual music. Anyway lets leave it at that shall we. Forum: Noticeboard
I am by no means religious in any way, and I don't want to bring up the same discussion previously on here, but the two songs from this band you have linked to 'Bighair', Worn and this one, are beautiful!!
Thanks. Forum: Noticeboard
I thought I would share with you guys as it blows my mind everytime I watch him climb.
Alex Honnold is a free solo (no ropes) climber who does some absolutely amazing stuff. Just to get 'your' mind around what he does is hard, let alone his own mind. I am in awe of how he control his negative thoughts when doing stuff like the link I have attached here.

Yes, Amy McDonald was suporting. I didn't know of her and my wife and I really enjoyed her stuff. She is a bit of a honey with a great personality too. She did an excellent version of Bruce Springsteen's 'Dancing in the Dark'. She completely changed it to a ballad and it worked superbly for me.
I meant to pick up a CD of hers after the show but unfortunately forgot as I walked out. Forum: Noticeboard
I just got back from a family trip in Aussie yesterday and have been scrolling through the threads here he don't see any mention of the Bryan Adams concerts in Aussie.
My wife and I went to the Melbourne concert and what a blast! He certainly has not lost anything in his voice and he was a pleasure to watch being so relaxed with what he was doing looking like he was REALLy enjoying it, as was Forum: Noticeboard
I hope your right. I enjoy everything Bon Jovi and I dislike the way that as soon as something in BJ goes amiss its Jon's fault in everyones mind.
Discuss but don't make up stories. Forum: Noticeboard
Not according to this Andrew.

I think I saw something along these lines via youtube and was also very disappointed how they feel about the Howe era. But what was worse for me was that there appeared to be bad blood and disagreements from day 1. It surprises me how they lasted 4 releases and 6 years together.
Personally I only like the Brian Howe Era of Bad Company. Forum: Noticeboard
The more I listen to it, the more I like it - apart from a couple of the Deluxe Edition tracks and not too keen on The Fighter.
More than happy with it! Forum: Noticeboard
Looks like it was just you and me that enjoyed the movie. Pure 80's escapism! I would go to the stage show if it came to NZ - fat chance of that though. Forum: Noticeboard
I meant that I had assumed that the deluxe version would be in a jewel case and was disappointed it wasn't. As I wanted the extra tracks I bought it anyway. I believe it should also have been in a jewel case. Forum: Noticeboard
I have been a long time fan since the early days and I guess have grown with them as I like everything they have done.
I have lived with the new one for a week now and really like it. For me it is overall better than The Circle, although it doesn't have the ballads that The Circle has and I think that is where it lacks. Good catchy tracks though. I bought the deluxe version (Crappiest digipak Forum: Noticeboard
I decided a quick totalling of the tracks might be interesting to see what the general consensus would be for the top 20 tracks based on everyones choices. No surprises for most of it:
Living on a Prayer (13)
You give love a bad name (11)
Born to be my baby (10)
It's my life (11)
Wild is the wind (9)
Have a nice day (9)
Runaway (8)
Bad Medicine (8)
Dry County (7)
Roulette (6)

Thats one of the great things about doing this. I thought there would be an extremely varied opinion, apart from some of the obvious. I really enjoy 'These Days' but there are other songs that 'do it for me'. (It was diffucult to leave a few of them from that CD off my list). Forum: Noticeboard
After all the talk over the past couple of weeks about their new CD, which I am hanging out for, I thought it would be interesting to find out what everyone's top 20 tracks would be if they made their own personal greatest hits compilation.
I am a big fan of everything of theirs as is my 15 year old son and 13 year old daughter and waiting for them to return to NZ on the current tour.

I have never used itunes, and don't intend to start in the near future. I will be getting better value purchasing the physical CD for a while yet I hope. As for bonus tracks, I will download those. Forum: Noticeboard
