While its not on the WOW factor, I kinda liked it to. Bon Jovi's acoustic version of 'It's my Life' is similar though and I liked that as well.

Not Bad but it is missing something for me. Very like Lou's solo stuff of which I only liked some tracks as well.

Yea, I remember having this years ago (since sold it) and no matter how much I listened it never grabbed me at all. Being a Foreigner fan I thought it would - but it was so different to Foreigner. I don't remember it having many hooks at all.

I just watched the Lionel Richie/ Kenny Rogers Crossroads - Awesome! Very entertaining and a wonderful combination. Edit: And just watched Pat Benatar/Martina McBride episode - Great stuff. Martina McBride has a wonderful voice and sings the Pat Benatar songs brilliantly. Yea, slow quiet night here:) I have never heard of this series. Thanks Warrior

Thanks Warrior. I will definitely be checking out some of those. Hopefully they are on Youtube. Those was 2 artists there I really enjoy - Pat Benatar and Lionel Richie.

if anyone is interested. I listen to Tayor Swift regularly because of my daughter blasting it from her bedroom and not ashamed to say that she is alright, although '1989' doesn't appeal so much. Anyway, I found this and thought some here might be in interested. She is obviously a big fan of Def Leppard This 'Crossroads' series looks interesting and might follow up on some more. https:

I don't buy many CD's per year (nowhere near as much as most of you guys), but this was one of them purchases. I have always been a huge fan of the more Melodic side of Pretty Maids - and this fits the bill perfectly!

Personally CCM I would still do the Europe concert, even by myself! I am not a fan of their later stuff but there is enough in that set list to entice me to see them, if they ever came to NZ? Sigh - but doubtful.

And from all accounts Melisssa Etheridge went down extremely well and regarded by many as the best of the 3 - not my choice but she was very good. No backing band. Just her doing everything and pretty damm impressive. I still can't get over how much I enjoyed REO!I thought I would enjoy Huey more but REO was top of the bill for me. BUT it was a great day all round and can't wait for next y

Her voice is still amazing - very powerful!. I have always liked some of her songs but never really considered a whole 1 hr 30 set (Each band did 1 hour 30). She did do a lot of extended versions of her songs adding a lot of guitar soloing (she had no backing band) - pretty good at that to on the old acoustic guitar.

Yea mate. I was nicely blown away by the show. I had a few LP's of theirs back in the day and enjoyed their music without being a huge fan - but loved the show yesterday. Kevin is a great frontman and vocals were much better than I expected. The band played together really well. SUPERB SHOW. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ou8xOnXLgE

for the first time yesterday - and impressed me a lot! Great set and Kevin Cronin's vocals were much better than I expected. Some great banter and he seemed to have a great time. An excellent show. It was an afternoon in the sun with 3 bands: Melissa Etheridge - great voice and so passionate. Probably not really my taste but appreciated her show. Huey Lewis and the News - What a fun show

I found this and thought some might find it interesting. There are some 'unusual' favourites in here that don't get much mention by us: http://www.teamrock.com/features/2016-01-21/the-11-best-foreigner-songs-by-mick-jones

Here's a different view. I love pretty Maids, when they sing melodic. Their releases vary with very heavy to blissfully melodic. Personally I love them heaps when they are straight melodic rock so tread a little carefully initially, depending what you like. I have created some wonderful CDR's from their more relaxed stuff but can't get into their heavier tracks. Even their heaviest CD has some

Ah, Eagles Farewell 1 Tour DVD.!! Brilliant and what makes it even better was that we travelled from NZ to Melbourne for it. Great memories, in mind and on DVD, of that show!

Agree - A Life To Die For is a super awesome ballad! I can't pick any track of it that's weak to me - in fact I haven't played it for a while. Might come out after Shinedown (now playing)

Yea, I know what your saying there Peter. But the promotion of 'Can't Slow Down' was minimal as far as I can see - limited to USA - and those of us that follow the band on the net were the only aware of it outside of the USA. Everyone I know didn't even know Foreigner were still around until they toured here last year - and still don't know about their last release.

Yea, I think all we want now is a release with all new music. Its very frustrating because we know they are more than capable of following up on 'Can't Slow Down'.

Agree Carl. I love the band with Lou or with Kelly and adore 'Can't Slow Down'. Was it even promoted though? Never saw in NZ (not even at the Foreigner concert we went to last year) and don't know if it reached Aussie. I bet majority of people don't know it exists. Great release though and would love to see another like it, as well as another tour to NZ. Don't listen to live CD's anyway! If it

CCM, I have defended previously you but this is pushing even my patience and I haven't been involved with the thread, and do have an opinion, but the point of this post is to say you have made your point and we are all aware of how you feel. For crying out loud let it go now!
