I was wondering when the 'name that shall not be said' would be included:) I was going to myself - as a joke - but you beat me to it. I will stick to Bon Jovi I think.

Well I prefer The Defiants CD to anything that Van Halen have done - so there you go:) I have 28 in my collection, which will be a lot smaller than most of yours I would put money on.

I've listened to both the Jorn version and the Saxon version and "Ride like the Wind' really suits being beefed up. I like both those versions as much as the original.

In the past couple of years I have turned back the clock quite a bit back to the 70's - while still still loving some of the current stuff we are getting. I have always been a fan of tracks like: Arthurs Theme (Best that you can do) Ride Like the Wind Say you'll be mine Never be the Same And then I have recently looked into other songs he has done over the years - and wow! I am lik

I don't think so. I was away for about 3 months and split that between USA and Canada. I spent time in the Canadian Rockies (the usual suspects around Banff and Jasper) and also up to Whistler. I based myself in Vancouver while in Canada - great city!

On that trip in '87 I was by myself and I spent a lot of time in Vancouver and travelled all around BC. This also included a trip up the west coast of USA. In later years (about 1994'ish) I took my wife and we started from the east coast and travelled across from Quebec to Vancouver (the prairies were fun:)). I love your country Don. Second best country in the world:)

My choice would be Hysteria. I was travelling in Canada in '87 when I bought the tape and there are plenty of memories form particular tracks - some that can be told and some that won't:) If I remember right I also bought TNT - Intuition, Whitesnake - 1987 and Eddie Money - Can't Hold Back on the same trip. Eddie Money's release also holds some fond memories for me.

I am also a fan of the S/T release and have wondered if its ever been remastered. I am not usually too fussy about production issues but the lack of 'oomph' in the that release is shocking. Survivor's Vital Signs was the same but changed so much for the better when re-issued and remastered by Rock Candy. At least I think it was Rock Candy.

Oh, sorry. I misunderstood your thread. Rocket Science for me is Rick's best since Living in OZ. Of the stuff I have heard this is the first time he has ventured in this genre territory for Rocket Science. Andrew could definitely clear this up for you. I would defininately recommend checking out Darkhorse if you like this though.

Welcome to the country rock genre. I found it about 18 months ago and absolutely love Rick Springfield's latest. There are some on the board here that will give you a good list of artists to try - they have for me and I am slowly going through them. But to start you off from me try: Darkhorse - Let it Ride: Paul Laine's debut for his new band. Awesome!!!! Lady Antebellum: Try 'em all. I ha

The most I have paid is NZD$40 for Fair Warning - S/T many moons ago (that means a long time ago), before it was reissued. :( There is no way I would pay more for any CD due to other $$ priorities. If I am going to buy a CD I get it within the first year or 2 before any perceived value balloons. I got 'Falling from the Moon' when it came out and pleased I did:) Very cool CD.

That is so cool. I have been turned into a Keith Urban fan over the past couple of years and really enjoy it all. This just adds to the respect for this guy. Its great to see artists treat fans like friends instead of someone to just play music to - if that makes sense? He is coming to NZ to play in December (with Carrie Underwood) about 4 hours from us and I have been tempted to go but the us

Nah mate, it wasn't one of those - although I haven't checked them out. It took me a while to find it amongst the previous threads but it was Night Flight Orchestra. I tried 'em but couldn't get it.

Exactly mate. Music really amazes in that way how we each pick up something different in it that we like/dislike. I have listened to the band you think very highly of and mention a lot - the name escape me at the moment - but just couldn't get it. I do get frustrated when a band or artist is disliked because of who they are, what's expected from them or a popular trend to dislike them but th

You'll understand when you listen to him Terry. He has a very unique sounding voice that I like and I like everything that they have done including all the celtic influenced CD's (although 'Blood From Stone' didn't really grab me as much as the others). I am really looking forward to the new one. I think you will have a problem, I think I know you well enough to know this, with the of the 's

Great to see Andrew that you have put Room Experience in the top 10 as that is one of the best I have purchased in the past 18 months - and one of the most enjoyable from my complete collection. For me better than all of those in the top 10:) Its right up there with The Defiants from 2016.

I love getting involved with story of a song and therefore I aren't a fan of instrumentals CD's normally but I do really enjoy Neal Schon's - Beyond the Thunder!! To be honest I haven't tried to many but that one can just be listened to without any heavy riffing going on. Once they start screaming with the guitar,to my ears, showing off, I lose interest. Probably another reason I enjoy 'Cr

Am I wrong in saying there might be if there was more flexibility for radio time, TV coverage (video's) or even some decent promotion. I have very rarely seem any TV advertising of new releases in my country, Radio stations appear (I don't know what they can play) very restricted to what they are able to play. The only way to pick up up on anything for the average listener is luck (thank god f

My favorite 2 are 'Can't Hold Back' and 'Right Here' with not a dud track on them. But not too far behind 'No Control', 'Nothing to lose' and 'Ready Eddie'. 'Love and Money' gets maligned by almost everyone and has no big hits on it but I really like it also and it is up there as one of my favourites. It is MUCH more mellow than all of the others which is why it is pretty much disliked by most

I am a big fan of this type of series - horror - and have heard good things about Outcast. Unfortunately we don't appear to get it here in NZ so looks like a stream or download to watch it. While on the subject I went and saw The Conjuring 2 the other night - excellent. Basically if you liked the first one you will like the sequel. Another really good chilling ghost story from James Wan. He ca
