Def Leppard's VAULT still sells close on 100,000 units each year worldwide. I imagine the re issues and Deluxe packs of Pyromania and Adrenalize have also maintained back catalog sales at a reasonably high level for these albums. According to one web site (name eludes me) Deep Purple sell approximately 400,000 of back catalog each year...... not bad when most new albums are lucky to do between 10

Mike still plays and either still is or was playing with Darren in a local act in Canada. It may be a sign of the times but aside from'classic' albums and the lack of over the past 20 years (well maybe with the odd exception such as Alanis Morrisette Bitter Little Pill etc.) it's unlikely the multi platinum phenomenon (ignore One Direction) is unlikely to be reached , the last notable rock album to do so being Daughtry's debut 5.5 million in the US) ...even Van Halen's last effort is

Lots of factors ,mainly the cost of having the band play the UK, where their popularity is nothing like it is in the USA (20 Billboard singles plus gold and platinum albums ) in the UK (2 hit singles -both Rocky Themes) and no album chart sales of note. k

Actually the early announcement is not because the line up is meant to be special, but more so because pretty much everything was confirmed early ..usually we end up waiting for a band or two that hum and hah ......for a few weeks but this year it just sort of fell into place nicely. People have always asked why we waited until January to announce the line up ..could they know as soon as possible

Figge, I had the same problems ,When I eventually got into my account after receiving new access codes via text from Hotmail, I found that I had been well and truly hacked......I suggest to ANYONE using hotmail (as I did for 16 years) CLOSE YOUR HOTMAIL ACCOUNT and move to a safer e mail account provider. Naumann did indeed reform the band back in about 2008/09 and played some local shows . I believe he was the only one from the original line up . I remember speaking to Ian Mayo about it when Mayo played with Burning Rain at a Z rock show some years ago.
