Bruce - the self-titled Joey Tempest album was the only I didn't pick up because what I heard of it was very 'pop' with no memorable songs. Have seen it called 'Coldplay-ish' which is probably about right. Shame because I love 'A Place To Call Home'.

It is because the CD sound is being mastered to sound best after it has been ripped to mp3 & put on an ipod. If a seperate master is done for the vinyl that will sound better.

Not much is said of many artists who do this, but everyone has to earn a living and writing and recording and releasing albums seldom covers that need! Richard: Oh you mean my day job? I've gotten into Metal Sculpture ( from metal music), both my own and co

That is probably because most albums now are mastered to sound best on mp3 players.

Probably still sells because it is the best selling album in history - people think that must be the one to get?

Got that one as well - I actually borrowed it from my local library and taped it. Never actually saw a new copy to buy so finally picked up a vinyl copy just last year.

Perhaps you could add these albums to the reviews with just the artwork & tracklisting etc. (and possibly a summary of your initial impressions). People could then add their own reviews/comments & you could update with your review when ready?

Paul, you are right - "library" is a better word to describe what he is creating (it was called an "archive" in the story I read last year & just followed that). Certainly this is not an ordinary record collection.
