Winger will never get credit he deserves because his first single was Seventeen. Poor choice considering there were so many other "grown up" non ballad tunes on the debut as well As for Warrant. Jani didn't become the great songwriter (other than ballads) until the Cherry Pie album but sadly that little ditty is what they are most known for and all because the record company didn't h

Great album! Too bad this was my introduction to the band so needless to say I was very disappointed with RTN when it came out. This and Strong Arm Of the Law are the only 2 Saxaon albums I can stand from the 80's I gave up on them after Solid Ball of Crap...

Go figure! Everyone argued over the term rather than listed their bands. Everyone pretty much knows what is classified as a hair band and what isn't. It' about the BIG hair, you know with loads of hairspray and possibly make-up! Not just long hair wich almost all rock bands of every genre had.... My top to hair bands are: (Not in order) Warrant Firehouse Slaughter Vinnie Vincent Invasion

How come you hardly ever see this scenario: Original lead singer (as in first singer to record a major album with band) quits, replacement singer sings those tunes and makes new music with band then original lead singer rejoins band and totally ignores the replacements catalog when playing live? The only band I've ever seen that does music from all eras of the band is Iron Maiden. Bruce sin

See that's the problem! WE are too close to these bands to get an HONEST opinion. Of course I know who Steve Smith is but ask someone in their 20's and I know you won't find the answer you seek. THAT is my point! I asked my nephew and and a couple of other family members and based my response on their answers. These ppl are NOT KNOWN to our younger generations NOT KNOWN...HOW can they be KEY PLAY

Steve Smith with Journey - Who was he and why was he important to the sound? Did he play on ALL the hits? Sadly, unless you read the album credits, his name doesn't mean as much to Journey as Neil, Johnathon or Steve Perry. Neil Murray with Whitesnake - I agree but when WS changed their style and became a popular band, his name is but a mere footnote to the name. Ask any younger gen who Neil

I heard Todd before he was in QR and he does sound naturally different but he can sound like Geoff perfectly when he wants to! I'm sure the new material will show both sides of his vocal prowess..

I am curious, is being in a band just a paycheck to some established acts? I mean look at Slayer & Sabbath both had contractual falling outs with their drummers over frickin' money! I thought when you formed a band it was a group of friends who share the same vision?? Personally, I'm getting sick of all the lawsuits going around these days. Bands should not have to endure this turmoil jus

Cool! I thought I was the only one who didn't care for Gillan's voice. Even though the new album shows him dialing it back a bit to let the song stand out LOL I have always been a fan of the Coverdale/Hughes era. The best sounding era overall in general.

His meet & greet is like waiting in line at the airport, Single file, 5 seconds for him to sign and no pics. Not worth it unless you are an uber fan IMO. I've seen im 3 x's and it was all the same way. The best thing to do is get in line and see how he interacts with fans. and then decide whether the wait is worth it

I'm kinda like you with DP. the only difference is that My fave era is Coverdale/Hughes era all 3 studio albums. Other than that, My knowledge is pretty limited to the hits. However, I do have Slaves & Masters album with JLT on vocals just because I dig JLT in general!
