Here is a link right to the FBI so I don't get accused of using "right wing" statistics. http://www.fbi.gov/news/stories/2012/october/annual-crime-in-the-u.s.-report-released This is brand new. "VIOLENT CRIMES DECLINED FOR THE 5th YEAR IN A ROW". So we've had an explosion in the number of legal guns being sold over the last few years and crime has gone down. We ca

You are an idiot: 1. You can't dispute a single statistic I've cited; 2. Even if more guns doesnt directly lead to less crime by your theory and most of the idiots posting here, crime should be out of control since there are more guns and crime is down not up. So more guns DOES NOT EQUAL more crime. 3. Not sure what guns you are talking about but the guns I own are recreational and self-def

There is no "out of control gun violence problem" moron. You made that up, FBI statistics show gun violence is DOWN, not up.

You are correct on the date, my bad. But the point remains. UK is extremely violent. You have some many home burglaries precisely because the criminal has no fear of getting shot by the homeowner. It's the opposite where I live. They fear the homeowner FAR more than getting caught by the police.

Andy C and others. It IS a right as fundamental as freedom of press, religion etc. Sure the Constitution is over 200 years old but the Supreme Court ruled as recently as 2010 that the 2nd Amendment GUARANTEES and individual's right to own guns(not limited to hunting or militia) and neither the state nor the federal government can unreasonably restrict that right. So I get a little pissy when s

Yes I can say that b/c areas with high percentages of legal concealed weapons licenses have LOWER CRIME RATES than areas with stricter gun law(like Chicago and DC). You should really educate yourself before spouting off stupid shit.
