Sad state of affairs when a comedy act can do this whilst many better and more deserving bands are struggling. First album was OK for the joke but come on no more. Make a proper album for goodness sake.

I agree that the first was a classic but I recently interviewed Ron Perry about the new album and he told me that over the two plus decades since its release, he felt that each of the members of CS had grown as musicians and song writers, so he felt that was why the songs were different in substance from the debut release and I can tell you he was really proud of what they came up with

No they have actually only had a couple of years to put the band back together and write some songs. The intervening years have been spent on other projects and jobs. The songs aren't the same as the 80's stuff they did, as they have a more as you would expect with a twenty-five year gap, mature outlook on life. And the outside writers on the debut were forced on them by the record company, so th

As someome who gets a lot of material promos etc through the digital medium I can honestly say - Buy the CD. In todays world most music journalists/writers get the digital version sent to them by the record company, however I always buy the physical version of my review albums, why? Well becuase Mp3's just don't do albums justice, each and every time I've bought the physical version of one of

If your going to call your band Operation Mindcrime, after one of the most important Rock albums of all time, then you really have to pull out all the stops to come up with something good, as has been said only time will tell.

There doesn't seem to be the same anticipation for live albums like there used to be. KISS's Alive, UFOS's Strangers In The Night, Thin Lizzy's Live & Dangerous, Judas Priest's Unleashed In The East etc, etc. You heard about them and you waited expectantly for them to come out. Now however you get two or three a month and there doesn't seem to be the same expectation for them as days gone by.

Reliable:- adjective That which may be relied on; dependable in achievement, accuracy, honesty, etc.: "reliable information." I'm curious as to what you don't find reliable about the reviews in Fireworks. Do you think we lie about stuff or say things just to sell the magazine??? Personally I think our writers are as reliable as Andy when it comes to AOR/Melodic/Hard Rock rev

It's actually called 'Sagacity' all one word for some reason the name is being split into two. I recently talked with Michael Sadler (interview in issue 64 of Fireworks) and he said he's been spending most of his interviews explaining that the title is just one word:)))

Saw Lee Aaron on her Metal Queen tour. And she was describing somebody as being a jerk off when someone in the audience said "Yeah he's a wanker alright", much hilarity ensued while said joker then had to explain to Miss Aaron what a wanker was. Que a couple of thousand fans all doing the hand gesture until she got it. Have to say she had a laugh when she cottened on.

All it was a massive BBC hatchet job, which basically said that the wonderful political music of the 60's was taken over by the wonderful mega/arena rock of the 70's. Which then was taken over by the misogynistic, sexist, bland pop rock (their description) of bands like Cinderella, Motley Crue, WASP, KISS etc which of course they and everyone else hated. No idea at all. Thank God they then sai

Paul, don't just stick to the wonderful Sci-Fi shows mentioned, try some other genres as well, Game Of Thrones, The Walking Dead, NCIS, Criminal Minds etc are all worth checking out, and if you can get the Blu-ray box set of Firefly still one of the best Sci-fi shows around.

Bruce you already know the answer because each year at the Festival, we're always asked, why no Damn Yankees, Giant, NightRanger, Loverboy, Michael Bolton (doing all of Everybody's Crazy), Streets, Triumph etc, etc. And the answer is because just one of these bands would bankrupt Firefest. I don't understand how any AOR/Melodic rock fan could not be excited about seeing From The Fire, Boule
