Coming from Italy I can say that in my country there is absolutely no place for melodic rock in major airplay. This music just have a very little support from few fans on the underground, but that's all. Just think for example that Shining Line, Lionville, Edge Of Forever, Wheels Of Fire, Soul Seller, Hungryheart and many other italian melodic rock acts are composed by musicians who know well
