I can't remember the guys name, but he put out at least 3, if not more, albums. Very Marc Bolan like in his playing. Tried finding him on Amazon and youtube under the suggestions but had no luck. Trying to search the noticeboard is futile because of the 'Marc Bolan is the guiding light' signature in Dave Crompton's post, lol. Thanks for the help.

Wow, Andrew has looked at this post over 200 times without responding. Must be an answer of epic proportions to hesitate that many times before committing to words. ;)

Really like this song. Nice touch with the female back up singers. Reminds me of Humble Pie and such.

I haven't heard this yet, for those that have and those that have also heard Jorn's DIO album, which is better? Or is there any comparison?

Lack of fame doesn't necessarily mean lack of talent. Thought it would be interesting to see the bands that slug it out weekend after weekend for the dream of making it big or that just do it for the love and fun of it. It can be an original or a cover song, it just has to be fairly local to you. These guys are StarChild, a band out of Harrisburg, PA that started out as a KISS cover band and h

Kivel Records is looking into whether or not there would be enough interest in getting the Lavalle 'Dear Sanity' made for all of us vinyl lovers. He figures he needs about 40-50 people willing to prepay via PayPal $20 to get it done. So if you're on Facebook and interested, head over to the melodic mafia page and let him know. Right now he is seeing if there would be enough support. If there is

Just got done listening to Maxx Explosion for the first time. Definitely a good album, but I have to agree with other comments that the production suffers somewhat.

Ken said "I can't understand how so many people get hung up on lyrics - to the point where they totally dismiss the music". Yet people do it all the time with Christian music regardless of how talented the band is. Stryper for instance. Too preachy, too churchy, etc. As far as SP, no doubt they can play, but the raunchy locker room lyrics just don't appeal to this 46 y/o dude. To

Giving their 'Unhinged' album a first run through via Spotify and I am loving what I am hearing. The bottom end on this album is fantastic. Vocalist reminds of a cross between Robert Mason and Johnny Gioli. Definitely going to have to purchase this. Anyone else have this or heard it?

Have had nothing but good experiences with Michael Sweet, Oz Fox, Carmine Appice, Kip Winger, Reb Beach, Gary Barden, and some others outside the genre of melodic rock such as Devon Allman, Eric Tessmer, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Anthony Gomes, and Charles Bradley. As a fan, I think the key is to not give off a vibe of 'you owe me this' and instead be gracious for whatever their pressing time they aff

Which got me wonder whatever happened to his former smoking hot wife Brandi Brandt. A quick Wikipedia search showed she was extradited to Australia in November 2013 from the USA on international cocaine smuggling charges. Holy crap!

Yes, I know. Yet another LZ remastered release. We all probably have the catalog already on CD. I, for one, am happy about it as I want the 180 gram vinyl. I'll probably just go with the single release rather than scooping up the companion discs. They honestly don't look to appealing to me. But the only vinyl versions I have are used and old, so this will be great to get it all on fresh vinyl.
