Why bother at all? A turd is a turd, remixed or not. Really this version of QR are an absolute pathetic shambles and a disgrace to the name and legacy. I wouldn't even lower myself to even listen to anything from this once great band anymore. I haven't bought a QR release since the appalling Q2K and Tate will never get a cent out of me again.

I guess the whole point of this latest farce is, why release an album and take money for it if it wasn't finished? I don't think that I have ever heard of any band ever doing this. Surely Tate and his management heard the finished master, were happy with it, sent it off to be pressed, shipped and sold, the do a 180 U turn and decide to remix it? As a said it's all a farce and Tate is no ende

If you mean metal bands with orchestra and choir, there a whole genre of them. Search for symphonic metal, you will find many.

I couldn't care less what Jorn sings about, he could sing the phone book and make it sound great. My main issue with Jorn and why I haven't bought anything from him in quite a few years, is the boring plod along music, that get repeated album after album. No dynamics, no light or shade, no variety, just the same old crap that is exciting as watching paint dry.

Yes, just another reason why labels are still living in the dark ages with dinosaur business practices. But as I already said, maybe Candy didn't have any access to anything additional to put on the release? Then why even bother?

There may be loads of potential bonus tracks, but for various reasons cannot be officially released. 1. Rights, who holds the rights to any demo's/live tracks. 2. Ray Gillen, his estate, executors might have the rights and not want anything sub quality released. Same with Cozy Powell, apparently he had loads of Sabbath stuff in his personnel collection. 3. The state of demo's, recorded on tape

Yup same old boring plod along Jorn, with no dynamics, no highs or lows. Another Jorn I wouldn't even d/l for free.

This was posted by Redemption guitarist Nick Van Dyk, who attended the 13 album listening session in LA: ..it is a VERY good record, certainly belonging of a place in the Ozzy-era discography. It is not mind-expandingly original, nor would I want it to be. What it is, is VERY heavy Ozzy-era-sounding Sabbath. In brief: * There were about 60 of us. No electronics were permitted (e.g., came

The live album I am guessing is a representation of a tour and if they played the solos live then it's going to be on the album. If they didn't put them on the live album, I'm sure they'd be more whinging that they weren't on the album. If I'm at the show I'm not that bothered, on a DVD/CD there is always the ff or next button, or in this day and age of downloads, don't bother.

Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups :) Yes lots of bands here, but I would blame it on many factors, but running out of concert money is not it.

I haven't slagged him off at all, trying to give a balance to all the GH bashing in this thread. Your obviously a massive JB fan boy, by dismissing GH comments, while you make personnel attacks on him are well, extremely hypocritical. Calling him a liar, this third person rubbish, being Glenn's bitch, and I could go on and on. Now if these aren't personnel attacks, then I don't know what a

Never heard of Joe before he hooked up with BCC. He was no more than a cult Yank guitarist. Whilst the other 3 members brought their massive fan base with them. Joe has obviously benefited from this and got a whole new audience through BCC. Joe pulled the pin from BCC, had a good cry about touring something hysterical about diet coke. Joe has stopped them from using the BCC name. Joe has

Saw a Megadeth box today. But it's hardly a money making scam by the labels, 5 discs for $20 is a good deal encouraging perhaps people who might not usually buy or kids just getting into the genres.

No, he was a terrible guitarist, with no sense of melody and restraint. Bruce Kullick was a far better replacement.

Your wasting good speakers and a B&W on 320k mp3? For me playing mp3 on decent speakers/system reveals the flaws in the compression and defeats the whole purpose of having decent gear.

The digital is sourced from the CD, the mastering will be the same, so how could they possibly be different?

Here in Australia a full iTunes album starts at $16.99, when I can buy the CD for $4-5 more, I don't even consider digital. Plus as you said it's not loss less and I prefer the real CD of CD and not compressed mp3/4.

It's all about making money. You get the Ltd Ed CD with bonus tracks, then iTunes only tracks, Japanese only bonus tracks. It's called milking the fans for everything the labels can get. As well as shooting themselves in the foot, and pretty much encouraging illegal downloading.

I judge on performance in a live environment. LG, looks the part and acts the part, and sings pretty good too. DDY sings good, but his choice of clothes, and his prancing around the stage like fairy, does not hold a candle to LG.

JY may not be as talented as DDY or TS in Styx, that is down to opinion and not based on anything but your bias against the guy. The magic for me is the harmonies and backing vocals, these are unique and cannot be done without JY. As you have already stated that he should be replaced by a proper singer, absolutely ridiculous to say the least. What he does bring to Styx, is charisma and stag
