Around sixteen songs exist from this session. Only 2 or 3 have surfaced in a regular format. That was supposed to be the album right after OOTW but the label scratched it if i remember, not enough commercial potential !

Actually listening to it this morning, the best album from the Roth era IMO, very consistent from start to finish.

Faceless World too. Great from start to finish, Mathias Dieth shines on it. He should have been huge after this one, incredible guitar player.

Listening to the album recorded between OOTW and PIP with an official release (meaning not demos) including tracks not appearing on OOTW (title track, look away, others?) would be a blast. There's around 20 tracks worth the listen concerning this lost album.

Following the thread about Europe maybe it will be great to have a "complete" list of albums to own, including some focus on why the japan reissues are the best to have, what do you think?

I guess Kasey Smith retired from the music business after the cockroach debacle in 93... I always liked his Keys as they were imo a huge part of the sound of D2. Great to see him back too !

Great news ! I would love to hear a new album and to see them live on tour including Andy Timmons & Rob Marcello. There's enough space in the guitar department for both of 'em. This news comes out of the blue :) how come ?

They should start by remastering the 1st five albums. I don't think they have the level now to re-record them the way that would do 'em justice !

Their next album will be very much their last considering the time they put each time to release another one so: my 2 cents -bring Rasmussen back (he defined their sound and created with the guys what we loved back then about them) -Work on the guitar sound (this raw bullshit sound from load to DM breathes lazyness to me) Sound is crucial to be inspired. -Jamming to find ideas, pa

Concerning Kee, his solo efforts are more song oriented, he is a very good singer too. Except the 1st 2 solo albums by Norum, which are very inspired, the rest of his catalog seems very flat to me. On the contrary, Solo efforts by Marcello are always surprising and very guitar driven. His band pre Europe, Easy Action was scandi aor at his prime and Red Fun from the ´90's was not b

Bratta was the next big thing around 89-91 and considered as the successor of EVH. I remember mags as GFTPM and guitar world praising him, and they were right, as one of the best with Bettencourt to rule the '90's to come... Curious how a solo album would have turned out guitarwise.

That's a classic IMO. Great album from start to finish. Very Adult ! Remember playing the vito's part with my band back in the days, awesome riffness & soloing from this dude ! I noted that too on love don't come easy but the album is so well produced that is not an issue i guess.

OOTW and Prisoners in paradise are stellar albums showing great techniques from Marcello and also awesome songwriting skills. With Kee, they became a much more Hard US act. The blues side was also very present on Prisoners in paradise despite the harder edge of the album. IMO their level elevated with Kee. Le baron Boys demos from before the release of PIP was Hard US at his finest despite t

after 4 entire listens, it's a good album in the vein of the last 2. The deluxe version is not necessary; on the contrary, IMO, if we get rid of tracks 5, 12, 14, 15, 16, ending with 11 tracks we get a pretty decent mid tempo opus. Jon's voice is crystal clear with cool nuances. There's a U2 feel on some tracks too (3,6). Because we can should have been moved to track 6 or 7. Nothing new
