....according to this Norwegian newspaper: http://www.dagbladet.no/2014/03/14/kultur/wig_wam/musikk/age_steen_nilsen/32302517/ A new CD was scheduled for 2014, but this is now scrapped. It's hard to be a rock'n'roller, I guess....

Geir Rønning is actually Norwegian (not Finnish or Swedish, even though he has lived in Finland for a number of years).

....is apparently the name of a new Scandinavian "super group", consisting of Glam from Wig Wam, John Norum, Mic Michaeli, Mickey Dee (Motörhead), and Hal Patino (King Diamond). They're playing a Norwegian venue (Rockefeller, Oslo) 31 January. Here's the link for those well versed in the Scandinavian tongues: http://www.vg.no/musikk/artikkel.php?artid=10145187

I was never a huge Loverboy fan when I was young, but this clip put me 30 years back in time, lol. I'm revisiting the feelings I experienced when i listened to music as a kid - weird & interesting! Great song & performance by Reno.

Sid Ringsby, from what I've read. He has played with them before, and has also been involved in TinDrum and lots of other stuff.

All the things mentioned above + he was annoyed over the fact that he wasn't allowed to play the kind of solos he wanted (no whammy-bar, etc.) on FC. Btw, what songs did he write on that album, timstar? From what little I remember, the only co-write was Carrie (w/ Michaeli). As for who's better - can't argue with taste, but there's an anecdote that when Marcello first tried out for the band, he

...as usual - Norway is confused with Sweden :-). They're comedians first and foremost - absolutely hilarious if you're local, maybe less so for those who are not familiar with Norwegian politics /society. My son starts almost every day with this one: Ylvis - Intelevator (there's some Norwegian talking in-between). Intelevator 4 Intelevator 2 Intelevator 3 Btw, the Fox one was produce

Thanks for the kind words! This album's been such a long time in the making, I keep forgetting that it's actually just released :-). We're 4 songs into writing the new album already, so if this one sells a decent amount, we'll be able to put out another one in the not too distant future - and that will hopefully enable us to start booking a gig or two as well..... Looking forward to the review

I think it has to do with the fact that I discovered Bad English around that time, and moved more in the melodic/AOR direction :-). I still like Seventh, but it just wasn't as good as everything up to that point, in my opinion. My favourite is still Killers, though :-).

Hi all, I know there are quite a few on this board that don't frequent the front page that much, so to those of you, I'd like to inform you that the band I'm in - Snowfall - is in the CD Showcase section at the moment, so please feel free to check out the samples and let me know what you think. Btw, Lee Small is handling the vocals (and he's as awesome as ever :-)). Thanks for taking the ti

I just noticed that there have been quite a few visitors (surprisingly many!) to our ReverbNation site, requesting to listen to some audio. I'll upload samples everywhere + at my sister's place as soon as Escape lets us :-), but for now, please bear with us just a little longer. Anyone who is a fan of Lee's vocals has something to look forward to, that much is for certain.... so, if not sooner, s

Can't see that The Newsroom, Boss or Studio 60 has been mentioned - awesome stuff, and for reference, I am an avid fan of The Wire and The West Wing. Btw, Boss has a cool reference to Journey in one of the episodes.

Not trying to stir up anything here, but I just read the latest Geoff Tate news on Blabbermouth, and there were two YouTube vids accompanying the article, which show that, if nothing else, the guy can still sing! The rest of the band is replaceable, to be diplomatic, but at his age, he's doing a fine job of it, in my humblest of the humble opinion :-). G. Tate in Clearwater
