The guitarist was top notch great tone I thought. Sound was pretty consistent, rick missed a few vocals early on but all in All one of the better gigs of the year for me so far. Danny Vaughn still in the lead for me.

Did you get the deluxe 2 disc version - nice packaging but only 1 extra song and a couple of remixes. Nice release that I havent had a chance to listen to enough times yet

I've mentioned it to him and he would love to do it. Have been trying to persuade Bruce and kieran to get him over.

Plays from time to time with his lovely other half Marlies (saw them in January) and also sometimes with Peter Strykes from 1st Avenue. A couple of shows coming up in May and June I believe. He's also a member of Aniday (Marlies is the singer).

In all honesty its no more distracting (in fact much less so) than those annoying tall people who come in late push past you and block your view. I guess its now part of the modern concert experience. Like another here I wouldn't use a smartphone but do take photos and on rarer occasions video with a good quality compact camera.

I was actually looking at the recent setlists on setlistFM over the weekend so I know what to expect in London and the one above looks pretty much standard for recent shows.

Sadly I doubt there will be a "few weeks" to see it Mick as from what I could tell its only on a somewhat limited release so unless the first week is ultra successful in the venues that are showing it I would expect it to virtually disappear after a week. I was at the Premiere on Tuesday and thoroughly enjoyed it even given I'd had 1 and a half previews at the last two gatherings. Off t

Great female fronted band featuring Robby Valentine (including songs written by him) deserves a proper release. Hole In My Heart

Agree Mel-Odic I too thought The Temperance Movement were brilliant - the guy sure has a great voice. I preferred Skins sound to Little Angels too though It was still pretty good. Much better than The Rasmus who I saw on Friday when the sound pretty much sucked. I also went to see The Treatment/Vega on Saturday. The Treatment were brilliant but have to say I think Vega need a new singer - fine o

Saw them a couple of times on the Black Roses tour and they were great but then I really liked that album. Not to sure about the new one but am going to see them next month in London - from their recent set lists I don't think they play much off the new record.

Agree with that SecurityMark, the one thing I would like at Firefest is longer sets but obviously I appreciate why it is how it is.

Saw then in London tonight and thought they were brilliant even with only around 50 in at the time they came on they really gave it their all - hope to see them over again. I appreciate Vega for what they are but find them better recorded than live not sure why but don't think Nick quite does it for me in a live setting and perhaps too many of their songs have hey hey hey shouts in them.

Was there last night too and it was bloody marvellous, best show I've seen this year. He's promoting his new album and obviously excited about it so it's no surprise that those songs are going to dominate the set list. For the record I thought his vocal was spot on too and apart from problems in the first number the sound was spot on.
