I think the last one sounds very good (Pat Regan) unlike the one before that (Kevin Shirley). Anyway agree with Figge's comment btw.

here's their first official music video, for the song "Feel You Now". The guitar playing is really good indeed. Looking forward for this album, anyone knows when this will finally be released? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4OakG3LPxnk

Now this is a difficult quiz... my score's 0/3 LOL. The other one is much too easy, got 12/12 easily.

Only in two or three songs on Restoration if I recall correctly. I already have all four albums, Japanese editions. Looking forward for the bonus tracks info.

Ups..forget about that compilation, the other two tracks from the bonus disc must be This is Where You Should Be and DT Jesus (I wrote that based on memory...no googling LOL)

Shotgun Innocence was also the bonus track on Poets and Madmen (US version). Meanwhile Forever After was on the SPV reissue of Edge of Thorns (released 2002). The Savatage reissues are a bit confusing IMO, especially regarding the bonus tracks. The best version of Edge of Thorns is of course the original Japanese edition.. the album feels incomplete without those two killer bonus tracks.

Monster drummer indeed.. better than Deen in my opinion, he's up there with Steve Smith. I think he played on some Neal solo stuffs (Late Nite album)

This is just someone else's list. Don't like most of his choices, perhaps only Lukather, Carlton, Rodgers and Pierce matter. My list would include Dann Huff, Michael Thompson, Michael Landau, Jay Graydon, Ian Bairnson, etc I'm surprised a certain super session guitarist from Sweden didn't make it to this list LOL

No, wrong subject.. should've been Aldrich instead of Aldridge. You can view a tour poster on both Glenn's and Doug's facebook pages. Not sure who the drummer is but I would rather see Tommy in this power trio than WS... if I recall correctly Hughes/Sykes/Aldridge once tried to form a band together in early 2000s but it didn't work out. It would be nice if Glenn and Doug can continue this partner

Yep, better t-shirt designs please! This band has some of the coolest covers I've ever seen (e.g. Predator in Disguise, Time Tells No Lies... both painted by the great Rodney Matthews, even Forever in Time, painted by a Japanese guy is cool as well) but their official shirt is only simple black & white logo shirt.. I want more, please. Actually I had to buy a bootleg shirt from eBay (front is

I've contacted the band's webmaster Jon. He asked Chris Troy regarding the release date of "Legacy" and according to Chris, the album will be released in Japan on August 2015 and then the Frontiers version will be released sometimes after that. Of course knowing what happened to the expected June release date, we can expect any changes to the European release date. Can't wait! :) Agr

Well, according to discogs.com, it was reissued in CD format on 1999, check it out: http://www.discogs.com/White-Tiger-White-Tiger/release/3808028

Yes, it was the period between "Born Again" (1983) and "Seventh Star" (1986) albums. After Ian Gillan left to reunite with Deep Purple, Sabbath tried out several singers but none of them worked out. Two of them were Ron Keel and Dave Donato (from White Tiger, with ex-Kiss Mark St. John). Jeff Fenholt also worked with Iommi during this period, I think after the Donato was fi

Shade...you forgot to include the 2nd video from this album, "Empire of Lies" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrQNG04CPVk And here is the direct YT link to the 3rd video "We Own the Night" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2wyGNng938 Great album, it's cool that European version has two bonus tracks, whereas Japanese version has zero :)

Still hasn't found it yet. Speaking of the H&V bonus tracks... as mentioned before, the Japanese bonus tracks are taken from the FUturama EP. However, the version of "Bad That's Good In You" in Japan CD is slightly different compared to the EP version. The EP version's ending is faded out, but the Japan CD version's ending is not faded out, therefore the Japan CD version is about 1

I've always loved the song "Heavy Heart" from this album. "Caught in the Innocence" and also "After Hours" are both great songs indeed. The rest sounds rather bland and uninspired, too much blues and R&B here and there, if I recall correctly.

It's also released as one of the discs on the 3CD set "Long Time No See" (Escape Music). I think MSL's comments that "it's a bunch of tracks that never made other albums etc." can make other people think that "Paraphernalia" is a collection of demos. It's not of course. All songs were recorded sometimes after (or probably during) the Dead Man's Shoes recording se

I'll contact you (and you too Terry :)) if I ever find both songs on any other format than vinyl. I know the band is proud that their new album is out on LP, but in my opinion it's a very frustrating decision that the bonus tracks are exclusive for analog format only.

Btw...just listened to the samples. I know they are very short but damn, now I want them :( I love FM instrumentals and the title track sounds good indeed.. looks like it's a Jem Davis synth solo, probably. While Love and Hate sounds better than Somedays I Only Want to Rock and Roll, or perhaps some other songs on the new album.

Ah..thank you for the links. I went to the juno site but didn't notice there are samples on the page. If the 2nd new song is a b-side quality then it doesn't matter if I miss it. I actually didn't buy the Japanese edition of Metropolis because I think the bonus track Kissed by an Angel is as good as the main album materials. Still, there's an FM completist in me who wants to have everything LOL

Terry, in case you didn't know yet, the vinyl version of Heroes and Villains has two exclusive bonus tracks: the title track Heroes and Villains, and another new song called Love & Hate. It's interesting that the LP has the most goodies compared to the CD (even the Japanese CD bonus tracks are not exclusive, they are from Futurama EP). Bad news for me though, cos I don't and probably won't ow

No, you're not the only one here. I am also a Praying Mantis fan. To be honest I was disappointed when they parted ways with their previous singer and drummer. "Sanctuary" was their best album in years, in my opinion. When they recruited the two Dutch members, I was skeptical that it would take away the 'British feel' of the band. However, I must admit that JJ does sound great and now I

I was very excited when they released the video for Turn Back Time.. what a song! I immediately thought the CD would be a must buy. But all the excitements disappeared when I found out who wrote the songs, and who produced them. Let's hope next time they write the songs themshelves and use someone else to produce the album.

yeah, I agree with that. "Sound of the Radio" has a classic Bryan Adams feel that I just love. To those who decided to give it a pass due to Aldo's weirdness, please do give this song a try, at least.

Ha! Didnt even bother to read the press release, but it was obviously Andy Barnett on Firefest 2007 (and his weird hair, and weird guitar sound too). Btw "Life is a Highway" is a cracking song indeed!
