Looks like both the Japanese bonus tracks are the same as bonus tracks on European limited edition. Check the detail on their Japanese label website: http://www.marquee.co.jp/avalon/gotthard.html and also have a look at the picture below. It's the back cover of Bang! Japanese edition. The other bonus track "My Daddy Told Me" is only available in digital format (iTunes etc). Bad news

I still have the expanded Ladyhawke... still sounds good, not sure if it needs another remaster, though. Keats is another one of my all time favorites :)

no, it's not Caveman... actually it's produced by the same guy who also produced Rival Sons.

Hi Frank, Yes, I understand that. I also feel that is going to happen anyway. It's a bit tricky situation, because the band might go on the road as "Foreigner" even without Mick appearing, as long as Mick is still listed as a full member. Maybe later Mick will retire from touring but still involved in studio capacity. Of course all of these are up to Mick.

>>.and I expect the band to continue without him. I except the band to stop if Mick retires. Hansen, Pilson, etc are great musicians, but it's a big joke to carry on as Foreigner without any of the key members.

The band is now a 7-piece... besides Jones, of course there are Kelly Hansen, Jeff Pilson, Thom Gimbel and Michael Bluestein. I'm not sure about the drummer position. It seems that Mark Schulman is with them for the current UK tour, but I don't know whether it's permanent or not. And..the band has added Bruce Watson on lead guitars since 2011 (if I'm not mistaken). I think the recruitment has som

ha! almost forgot about this instrumental... kick ass for sure. I think I'm gonna pass this remaster, I already own the original pressing, sounds good already. If they include this instrumental as bonus track, then there's great reason to buy again.

Disappointingly, instead of giving us the long awaited album with brand new materials, they just released a covers album! Not really a good idea since most people will always consider JP's Asia as a tribute act. You might enjoy it though. Recollections: A Tribute To British Prog 1. SIRIUS originally by the Alan Parsons Project (2:11) 2. EYE IN THE SKY originally by the Alan Parsons Project

But...the re-worked Mark Spiro song is originally called "Back to the Promised Land", not "Back to the Promise Land" ;) Here is the back cover of the album:

The wiki page for Live to Win says he is on two songs (Live to Win and Wake Up Screaming). You can view the entire booklet here. Indeed he was not credited, but there are two possibilities... (a) he recorded guitars for those but not used (b) he recorded guitars for those and used but not credited.

true, involved with some Toto guys but that's not for Toto purpose, so he still can't include Toto in his CV

To my surprise, the new House of Lords album was actually mixed by James AND Bob Marlette... at least that's what the booklet says. I actually wonder if Bob really mixed this album, cos the result isn't a big improvement compared to the previous album. Bob can make great and heavy sounding records lately, so it would be great to have him on board to handle everything from production, recording

yeah, suprisingly very good... Andrew's review is spot on. Shame that nobody seems to talk about the album here. "One Night In December" is stunning indeed. Magnus Karlsson's influence is definitely all over this album, but it's blended with Sinner/Scheepers formula so the result is not like those Karlsson projects, which tends to sound samey.

They need someone else to do the recording and mixing. Well, at least the mixing... Dennis Ward did great job in the beginning of his involvement with HoL, but I think his sound has become too predictable in his recent works. Someone like Jacob Hansen might be a great choice... it will cost more, though :)

Hi Geir, Thanks for the infos :) Both NEH Records and Music Buy Mail only mention 10 songs on the tracklisting, that's why I thought the alternate versions are only available on the digital album. I still can't access the podcast from Kjetil's site..haven't installed Quicktime yet. But as I've indicated before, the samples on 7digital do sound good enough to reveal some details that can not b

You can listen to 1 minute samples of all tracks here: http://www.7digital.com/artist/kjetil-by/release/better-days It's 128 kbps mp3, which is the same bitrate as most samples on mr.com. Sounds slightly better than the amazon or cdbaby samples now.

The songs are great.. Dancers is very catchy in particular, and the others sound more like Robin earlier albums. However, I don't like the mixing. Sounds muddy, even worse than James solo album. I wonder who mixed this album? And well, two bonus tracks for digital version, and none for the CD buyers? Hmm..

Their recent materials (Metropolis, Rockville) were credited to the entire band (all songs written by FM). Of course it's not just Steve who came up with the ideas... even the rhythm section of Jupp/Goldsworthy have always written together since the early days, and I'm sure the newest member Mr. Kirkpatrick also contributed a lot to their current direction.

Nice to know that the band are already working on the new materials. Monday 31 March 2014 will see the mighty FM release their monster new EP - FUTURAMA - featuring eleven new recordings - four new studio tracks, six new live tracks and one extended remix. Running time - 57 minutes. Tracklisting: Futurama / Cold Hearted / Bad That's Good In You / Preying On My Mind / Tough Love (Live)

You can hear longer samples at itunes... the new tracks sound great, and the re-recordings sound fresh too, although I don't like the new arrangement on the chorus of "Playing God" (one of my favs from Planet Panic)

There is only one version of Lost Angels (demo). It's actually a Clif Magness demo with Steve on vocals. Nuno didn't play on it. http://www.melodicrock.com/phorum52/read.php?1,121550,121558

I also want to know about the Japanese bonus track status of this album. The initial announcement mentioned that the album contains 12 tracks. However, the last track "Time For Letting Go" is missing from most reviews and album previews that are available on the internet right now. So could that be the Japanese bonus track?? Anyone can confirm this?

For me personally it has to Excitable. Bad song. Pour Some Sugar On Me is another candidate, but still a fun song actually. Don't know about Alex... curious too. Speaking of Slang reissue, the iTunes version actually adds 8 more bonus tracks. 4 album demos, then Joe's soundtrack songs (When Saturday Comes and the other one) and Viv's and Phil's songs on Jeff Beck tribute albums.
