just back from London gig. What an awesome performance by a really great band. Good crowd to - about 800 people there and lots of younger members of the audience which is good to see.

just back from london gig- awesome performance and really good crowd - about 800 people. Songs from new CD came across really well and Erik even indulged in some crowd surfing during a technical gremlin. Amongst the many legacies created by Firefest the guaranteed future success of this band will surely be one of the most important.

LOL - you must have been one of the 50 people left in the hall after HEAT had completely blown everybody away . I felt so sorry for Shooting Star at the time having to follow that !

Thanks for detailing the full story about Mark Ashton Bruce - I was always curious about his sudden disappearance and now i know why . I only had contact with him once when i ordered tickets for the first Gods show in Milton Keynes in 1993 i think. I remember thanking him enthusiastically for getting Mark Free over to England and he came across as a really big fan of the music. All credit to you

great performance from Danny and the boys as usual and a really good crowd as well which is encouraging . Did not catch the name of the guitar player who is doing the tour - anybody know ?

A quick few thoughts on day 2 . Only arrived at 2.30 but straight away noticed the improvement in sound from friday . Pretty packed when Heavens Edge hit the stage . Thought the Band choreography was entertaining and fun - reminded me of warrant video for down boys. Thought vocals were a bit hit and miss but play dirty was a great opener and overall i reckon 7/10. Treat were simply fantastic a

what a loss this will be when it ends next year. This has come to mean so much to myself and my wife that i do not know what i will do when this finishes . To give you an idea of how much i want to support Kieran and Bruce, i attended the friday night show two years ago despite having had a Bone Marrow transplant only 3 months earlier to cure leukaemia and feeling like i would be sick any minute.

Never in a million years could anybody say that Bad English's 2nd Album was better than the debut which is a stone cold classic. I do feel after living with it a few weeks , that Houston 11 is even better than the debut ( i am ignoring the covers album)

Much as i would have loved to see Trixter i am really excited at seeing H.E.A.T again . Cranks the pressure up on the headliners Hardline who could well be blown away by the preceding 3 acts !

Really fantastic band- would recommend that you concentrate on the more guitar orientated early work such as can't buy a thrill and Royal Scam . The session guitarists they used were always top notch

this is certainly miles better than the Survivor performance at the same festival . Frankie Sullivan consistently overplays and ruins songs. In addition what is the deal with two vocalists? . Dave Bickler should have retired years ago - when you have got a vocalist as good as Jimi why limit his performance time ?. All sullivan is doing is tarnishing the legacy of a great band - very sad to see

brilliant gig - Rick played stuff I did not expect to hear such as Sate of the Heart , Rock of Life etc as well as the more obvious stuff ( strangers, Jessie's girl). Did a brilliant medley of about 8 songs mid set which really got the crowd going . During Human Touch he walked amongst the crowd , and then went upstairs to the seated area and hung from the balcony whilst continuing to sing - incr

Totally awesome album. Been playing it in the car all summer and my 7 year old daughter loves this to bits. Butch walker does a good job on the production. Will now check out last two albums having previously given up on them

Good, but not as enjoyable as last year. Sound seemed very muddy and guitars didn,t bite as much. Did a variety of songs from damn Yankees , crazy train from brad,s ozzy connection, - also did let him run from the first album which was excellent. Kelly really is an awesome vocalist. Opened with lay it on me and crowd gave a really good reception . Not sold out but pretty damned full.

Why is anybody surprised by axl,s continued piss taking ? The guy is a joke and to even continue touring under the gnr name shows how he has no respect for fans or the band,s legacy.

Yet again I find myself agreeing totally with rock nut. Is £8 every 3 months really that expensive for a quality magazine ? I would rather sacrifice buying one cd every quarter, than miss out on this magazine. Whilst I enjoy fireworks, the print is very small and I am finding it increasingly difficult to find in newsagents.

Fully agree. 1st album is fantastic and each album since has been progressively more disappointing. Still highlights on all albums however.

Life of Riley is the name of the original song- and yes Springsteen seems to have lifted it note for note. Even making similar comments on radio 2.
