I love Third Stage. Nothing beats the 1st album. The second album has its moments but fell short. When TS came out it was in the heyday of Hair Metal and Rock. I remember this album and Slippery When Wet in the charts forever. I do think its more mellow to fit the times as many artists did. I always liked the sound but would be curious how it comes out OT: A lost gem track from Boston is

But with the other thread are these run threw I program or a real person doing it I wonder? Look some stuff is so dated that I sure running it thru a program gives it new life. Let me know how the Third Stage is if you get it. One of my fav Boston albums

I played the latest release yesterday and noticed something. Perhaps it was approved or maybe since the song is more obscure it went unnoticed. Listen to the CBB song South Beach. The play The Doobie Brother Dangerous. Its the same song except different lyrics. All the changes and melody lines are there. Let me know

Good article. So do we know if Rock Candy and others use automated or really dive in with a person? While I love the Salty Dog album I don't see the profit in it if you pay a pro to manuely remaster

Sorry. Let me be more clear. I have been collecting on eBay old posters from the 80's that I had "in the day" and had them framed and proudly hanging in my Man Cave! Its my escape. One photo I always loved was that inside cover of Hotel California where the band and others are hanging around. Of course the controversy of the upper level. Some say its Anton Levay (Satanic Bible guy).

Normally I agree with that. As the guy is another "his own worse enemy". But I will say his guitar sound is missed in a lot JP work. But Joe praised the work and based on his track record I would have to believe its good? But yes Frankie wanted to call it Survivor and that wasn't going to float

After hearing the Joe Vana interview on Inside Musicast I would love to hear the canned Frankie Sullivan Survivor album with Joe's vocals

I was in error. I have all my music within ITunes software, some purchased through there and others ripped my CD's. I was in the mood after posting this and it didn't show on my phone. I came home and saw its in Apple Lossless which is from CD. My bad.

Great podcast. Never really knew Joe's backstory. These guys have a way of making an interview flow. I like the fact he said He DDY and JP live witin blocks of each other. Which makes me wish a DDY/JP album.

The fact that something rock out there is a miracle. Hey Rum, NYC boy here myself. We have Hair Nation (who never plays new material) and Boneyard (which sometimes does). Why won't they expose the new music from the artist they cover? Granted I hear old tracks I'll never hear on WBAB but same ole same ole isn't much differnt. And it seems the more hardcore metal channels like Liquid Metal will

I'm sold on the voice. I like the song. Since frontiers gets involved with a lot of artists I'd like to see them grab him. Get the writing team to help reproduce a Boston like album. Makes you wonder how this guy at least produced a good sonic sounding song. And why under use him on recordings is beyond me. Tom has Yngwie "itis".....a disease where you can't so no wrong and need

Whats hard to understand I guess about human nature is for SP, like a sports star, you have a certain time frame to make your money. Prior to the last break up the were getting 20,000 per show! Not many acts of that era can say that. So since your in your late 50's can't you get your shit together and protect your voice? I'm hoping he finally understands this now. Because they sounded good o

He sounds real good here. SP problem is being sober when performing...period. Hopefully with all the douchery from BB over the past years will inspire SP! Also I remember a post from WAY back where rocknut threw in a one-liner about Juan swaying stage moves...that was the first thought I had when the song starts and Juan does his thing lol

I don't think they are that overrated and I'll say why. There was a podcast called Skull Sessions and they would round table a bands entire discograghy. The bands they covered you remember thinking all the albums were excellent. Only to find listening that yeah the album really had 3-4 great songs. RATT is like that in some ways. You can pull a few songs off of each album and now you have 12-
