For me there is a definite Harem Scarem/Winger vibe to the vocals. Don't hear the JBJ sound there myself, but if Jon and co were to write these type of songs these days I'm sure this place would be going crazy over Bon Jovi again.

I'll just wait till it becomes available in the UK,not going to pay any crazy import prices anymore. Just been hearing such good reviews about it, I need to get hold of it.But I'll just have to be patient same as everyone else.

So I've seen this album mentioned in a lot of places lately and would love to listen to it, but has it been released yet? As apart from Japan I don't seem to be able to find it anywhere.Checked amazon, google, aorheaven, ebay, neh records to no avail.

Really enjoying this one at the moment.I was disappointed with Riot Avenue, but definitely loving the fact they have gone back to the catchy hooks and choruses of New Religion. One of my favourite releases this year.

Fantastic album, one of the best things I've listened to this year.Great vocals, some super playing and a fab overall sound.Would recommend this to anyone who loves their melodic rock with some lovely loud guitars.

Sad to think that i'll never get the chance to see Babylon AD,Brother Firetribe or The Poodles again in the UK.There is going to be a huge void left by the lack of Firefest.

Been there for all three days as well.Heat just blow people away wherever they play, just so much energy and songs and no ridiculous solos.Waited about 25 years to see Babylon AD and they just rocked the place, great sound, tunes, loved it.Finally having the chance to see Brother Firetribe live was unbelievable and to be fair they would be up there with Heat as band of the weekend for myself. As for t

I think I've always been someone that likes that instant appeal.Considering the amount of albums that I have there are very few that I would say had to grow on me.That is something I was like 25/30 years ago but still the same now.So for myself at least I wouldn't say I was any more critical now compared to the past.

H.e.a.t are an amazing live act.How Erik keeps that energy going for show after show after show is incredible. As you say it would have been fantastic to see them let loose on Arena's around the world but sadly the massive fan base is not there. So i'll enjoy them at Firefest and HRH Aor,then wait till the next tour and enjoy the experience all over again.

Agreed, travelled and stayed up in London back in May to watch HEAT.Be nice to have had a night in Bristol if there is nowhere suitable in Wales for them to play.

I personally have no grudge towards Apple.I use it to charge and backup my ipod but that's about it.I've never bought a single album off them (apart from the new U2 one which was sneakily put on my system, for free). But even to this day I buy 99.9% of my albums on cd then back them up on iTunes.I don't know,it's just i hate the idea of having my music in digital form,i like the comfort/reliabilit

Sounds much more like it to me.Hopefully a step back in the right direction.Felt after the excellent New Religion a bit disappointed with Riot Avenue, but these samples do have me hoping for great things from the new album.

To me I alaways prefer much more guitar orientated music, but these guys just seem to have a great technique of writing super songs,it doesn't matter if it's keys or guitars involved.Plus Lars is an amazing Live vocalist, really hoping for some UK dates in the new year. You could put these guys in the thread about reaching a bigger audience,so much potential there as well!!

Off recent records I think you could use any number of HEAT tunes, off the latest cd alone there must be 5/6 songs at least that known artists could use and would be hits. I look at a band like Faith Circus who would be virtual unknowns out of our little circle, but can write songs like Alive n Kicken,Tried and True(must be one of my fav songs ever),Half the Man (you could imagine any boy band sin

That's the ones.Didn't realise they had an album out as far back as 1993,will check that out.Shame they don't seem to be a going concern as far as original material is concerned, but at least they seem to be enjoying themselves in this cover band.

Tears in the sky is a fab song,to be fair I'm just surprised they didn't get a bigger reception in the melodic rock community(if there is one). They just seemed to go under the radar.

There's not many bands if I check, google, facebook, wikipedia, twitter etc I can't find info on.But if I try and find out what happened to Secret Smile from the mid to late 00's there is almost zero info. They go and release a couple of catchy pop/rock albums but then disappear. So if anyone knows what these guys are upto now, please spill the beans!!

Never really been much more than a casual listener to Toto(always seemed a bit too light and fluffy for me)so couldn't really compare the two.But WOA don't half make some great songs,as well as being a fantastic live act,so anything they release is always welcome and would love to see them live again.

Loved the debut album but got less interested by every album that followed, seemed to get a little bit less rock with each release.Forgot that there was a new album out and it was going back to a more rock sound of the debut, will have to check this out!!
