If you get a chance check out Eric Gales on tour, they put on a fantastic show even though there were only about 250 people. He came out and said we were in for a real treat and he was going to play his ass off and that was an understatement. He also had some cool stories to tell. They're playing tonight (SAT) at Buddy Guys Legends in Chicago. He had his new cd Middle Of The Road available and was out

If you can find Ronnie Montrose 'Roll Over And Play Live' cd it's a great all instrumental show from around 1998.The cd may be hard to find but you can still get the mp3 on amazon.I also recommend the Gamma Concert Classics cd from the Gamma 1 tour. Denrocker

For me Gamma 1 is the best,I bought the Rock Candy version and it sounds much better than the Wounded Bird cd.I also have Gamma Concert Classics cd which is a very good soundboard quality from the Gamma 1 tour.Gamma 4 has some great songs on it and Ronnies guitar playing was very good. There is some good footage of Gamma on youtube of old and from his last few years and the one from wolfgangs vaul

I had an idea for the 30th anniversary of Skyscraper to have a remastered cd with a couple of bonus tracks and a good live dvd from the Skyscraper tour. There's not much live footage even on youtube so I know I would buy an edition like that in a minute.Anyone have any connections with the record label? I was fortunate to see the Outlaws at The Watseka Theater(IL) in October of 2011.This is a small venue that holds about 400 or so.I already had been listening to the Demos cd they released for a while which I still prefer over the It's About Pride release. They played the whole album live along with the classics and Billy Crain was still in the band.It was one of the best country rock concerts I'v

Don't know if it's still on youtube,it's a good one to have a hard copy of.I'll have to look for the video from 1991,had a chance to buy a new VHS one time for 4 bucks.Maybe one day they'll get together for 1 more.Ted's guitar playing on the Yankees was sweet. Denrocker

Get it on dvd at Amazon brand new for $1.39 + shipping. There was a Damn Yankees VHS video from the 1st album out in 1991 about 40 minutes long but still hasn't been released on DVD.I saw them on the Don't Tread tour in Danville,IL and still remember what a great live band they were.Don't Tread is my favorite,I thought the overall quality of songs were better than the S/T.There were 4 excellent so

I like this band Mara that was from the Cincinnati,OH area in the 90's.They're a melodic metal band with some TNT likes but not as heavy as Dream Theater. They only released 3 albums which were the S/T EP,Poetry And Motion, and America(1998).America is the best with Poetry 2nd.All 3 are worth having but America and the S/T EP are hard to find.Poetry is still showing up on ebay every now and then fo

I bought this album when it came out in 1985 and still enjoy it every now and then.Never bought the bootlegged cd because the vinyl sounds good especially burned to cd through an eq.Have 3 or 4 copies of the vinyl. The drums do sound a little repetitious but Rex's guitar playing is fantastic and the lyrics are catchy.I did buy the Whitecross Nineteen Eighty Seven cd from 2008 which is a re-make of

I'm agreeing with you about the new Krokus,I am liking it more after a few spins and the sound is great.I wasn't real impressed with the samples I heard but am glad I decided to finally get the cd.They also added a little humor to the cover and other pics in the booklet. Denrocker

Doug was always underrated until he was in Dio and Whitesnake. The Holy Diver DVD is essential.Lion Trouble In Angel City,Lion Dangerous Attraction,BMR S/T and Blood,Dio Killing The Dragon,Burning Rain(both),and Dougs solo cd "Highcentered" are all worth having IMO.Can't wait to get the new Burning Rain next month. The debut was great and I also liked Lost Cathedral (Japan version).I saw Micki Free play in a small club in the 90's on the Gypsy Cowboy tour and he signed my S/T cd.There were only about 75 people or so and a highlight was when he played Hey Baby(New Rising Sun).I have the latest cd by Micki Free called "American Horse" and it's worth checking out.You can buy it on ebay or Amazon pret

Glenn Hughes was on rockline and said he is to make another rock album.Hopefully another similar to "From Now On" or in a classic rock form. You can still listen at rocklineradio.com.Joe Bonamassa is better off doing his own thing and the new acoustic show is a perfect example.Joe has worked hard to be where he is today and those that don't like him well "To each his own".I did

The 1st S/T album he did was a decent listen but nothing great,he had some of the George Lynch sound in his playing. It was a mix of half instrumentals and half vocal songs. He has a new one coming out this month titled Lyons And Lambs, will have to check it out. Denrocker

An absolute classic and monster.UFO played in Chicago at the Vic Theater on this tour and sold out 4 nights in the same week. The 1st show to go on sale was Friday night and sold out in less than a half hour.I missed out so I called the venue and talked to someone named Walt Klein about how bad I wanted to see this show.About 3 days later I had 2 tickets in my mailbox and sent him a check for $40.

I'm thankful Glenn and Joe put a band together because I never would have expected them too.Joe plays more hard rock in BCC which is a break from the blues, can't say it's boring.Glenn is a legend and has been going strong for the last 20 years putting out a lot of material. It's not all great but most it is quite good.If they were to call it quits I'm grateful for the music they made.
