For me the best line-up ever was during the Hi Rock Festival 2013: Day 1: FM Rick Springfield Survivor Toto Day 2: H.E.A.T. Black Star Riders (the only band I didn't like) Europe Whitesnake Journey I never thought I would be able to see my 3 favourite bands, Survivor, Journey and Europe (before the reunion) during 1 festival. And if that was not enough, I got to see several

I never had a negative opinion of Coverdale, but this shows you how arrogant he really is. He can't take any criticism and then tries to ridicule and belittle his critics. I always hate people, who are pointing to their wealth when they are criticized. But with all his wealth, he can't get his voice back, because that is totally shot.

A disappointing first announcement for me. I've never been a Quiet Riot fan and Joe Lynn Turner was terrible at Frontiers Rock Festival. Tyketto is always good, but I've seen them many times before. I'm no fan of Gilby Clarke, Dan Reed Network and The Quireboys, so only Russ Ballard is a pleasant surprise for me.

To be honest I understand both sides here. If the prices that Andrew mentions are correct, I fully understand that those are not acceptable for him. I also feel that it's not a good business decision of Frontiers to totally cut advertising on MR.com. On the other hand I understand that Frontiers is dissatisfied about the lack of reviews during the last year. Andrew should make sure that he review

I agree that the communication has been terrible. There's has been no response on emails or to questions on their Facebook page. They already announced 14 bands including Giuffria, but on the ticket page Giuffria is the only band that isn't mentioned. Does this mean that they won't play or is it just an oversight? They still have to announce the final 7 bands, but nobody knows when they will do t

I was browsing through some recent Nightwish setlists and I couldn't believe my eyes. No "I Wish I Had An Angel", no "Amaranth", no "Dark Chest Of Wonders" and no "Nemo". Just unbelievable. What the hell are they thinking?

My favourite Heart album still is their self-titled 1985 album, but I like "Brigade" too. My favourite songs off "Brigade" are "Secret", "Stranded" and "Wild Child" (I prefer Heart's version).

Yesterday I returned form Italy after a little vacation after the Frontiers Rock Festival. Although a bit late, here is my review of the festival. Saturday: Angelica opened the festival. I already liked het CD and although the setlist could have been better, she did a good job. She has a very good voice, which was very apparant during "Can't Stop Love", for me the highlight of her

Totally agree. Besides that, posting on a noticeboard that you just bought 2 VIP tickets for 800 pounds sterling, is a bit pathetic. A "real" VIP wouldn't do that.

Great track with a real Survivor vibe. After hearing this I'm really looking forward to the Peterik/Scherer CD. Video on the homepage.

I agree, Isolation is my favourite Toto record too. This new one is certainly not bad, but IMO nowhere near the classic it's made out to be.

For me this was the first time I attended this festival in a holiday park in Wales. The line-up was so good, I decided to make the trip from the Netherlands. I could not attend the pre-party on thursday, because that party was only for the people who booked accomodation in the holiday park and I stayed at a B&B. Friday: I dind't see the first band and arrived when Tainted Nation was pl

I haven't heard the CD yet, but I was not impressed with the single "Digging Up The Dirt", which I found boring. Like Bruce I love their first 2 CD's (especially "Tough It Out") and if this new one is "mainly a bluesy affair", then I'm sure I won't like it. My favourite FM songs are the AOR ones like Bad Luck, Someday (which they never play live), All Or Nothing, Tou

Great setlist! Like Dave I'm only missing "Caught Up In the Rush", but I'm very happy that "Wide Open" and "The Storm" are being played. It's also good that "How To Mend A Broken Heart" is back in the setlist. Very much looking forward to seeing them at HRH AOR next week.

What a terrible setlist, easily their worst ever. Just 5 pre-reunion songs and 9 (!!!) post-reunion songs. I once loved this band, but now I'm starting to hate them. Every tour they play more of their boring new songs and less of the old songs that made them famous. They should be ashamed of themselves. I saw them at a festival in Germany a few years ago and they almost got no reaction from the a

There are so many clips of terrible performances of Bobby Kimball on youtube that I lost count. Still, many people kept defending him, saying that it was because of the quality of the footage he sounded so bad or that it was just one bad night. Well, he has been sounding terrible for about 10 years now. He totally lost his voice, but tries to get away with that by letting the audience sing almost

This is just an amazing album. I liked the last 2 Eclipse albums, but although they had some great songs (How To Mend a Broken Heart, Bleed and Scream, SOS), there were always some filler songs. That's not the case with Armageddonize, because every song is very good to great. "Wide Open", "The Storm" and "I Don't Wanna Say I'm Sorry" are 3 of the best melodic rock so

I'm disappointed that Treat isn't playing. What is the reason for that? I was happy when Last In Line was replaced by Harem Scarem and Circus Maximus by Burning Rain, but this is not good news for me.

Not a great start to be honest. Stan Bush is the only one I really want to see. Robby Valentine and Vega are OK, but certainly no suprises. The thought of Gotthard playing songs of their last 2 mediocre albums doesn't excite me at all and I've never been a fan of Dan Reed and Electric Boys. If it doesn't get better than this, I won't make the trip to Nottingham. Hopefully there will be some real

Beautiful song. You're right that it took a few plays to sink in, but now I really like it. I didn't like their last album "Imaginaerum" ("Once" is still by far their best IMO), but after hearing this first single I'm really looking forward to their new album.

I sent them an email to ask when they were going to announce the line-up, but I got no reply. Why put a "get in touch" link with an email on your website, when you can't be bothered to answer the emails you get.
