I don't have high hopes for this, because "Firebirth" was a very mediocre CD. For me, Steve Lee was Gotthard and this band with Nic Maeder is not Gotthard anymore. IMO "Firebirth" is their worst CD ever and I don't expect them to all of a sudden write a classic CD in the same quality as "Lipservice" or "G".

I love the first album too, with "Labour Of Love" and "Just Having Touched" my absolute favourite songs of that album. I've had "Going The Distance" on CD for many years, but it's not nearly as good as "Kick The Wall". "Nothing At All" is easily the best song on "Going The Distance".

24 is one of my all-time favourite shows, so this is great news! Unlike other people here, I think they kept the quality up through all 8 seasons. Only the casting of the presidents could have been a lot better though, after the first one died in the series. Besides 24, my all-time favourite TV shows are The Wire, The Shield, The Sopranos and The West Wing. At the moment I especially like Homelan

This sounds great, like a mix of Lionville and Work Of Art. I never heard of this band before, but now I'm looking forward to their CD.

Yesterday I saw Avantasia play live at the Melkweg in Amsterdam and what a great show it was. They played for more than 3 hours and tickets were less than 30 euro, so great value for money. Nowadays, a lot of headliners play less than 1,5 hours, so it's great to see a band that wants to give it's fans real value for money. The Melkweg is a relatively small venue, but still there was a big stage s

Are you planning to play some cover songs, like some Tyketto songs? Will there be support bands?

I totally agree. Dennis DeYoung and Tommy Shaw were what made Styx great and James Young is just a very mediocre singer, guitar player and song writer.

I like their first 2 CD's the most. I saw them opening for Magnum in Amsterdam and they were great. I especially loved "Shout It Out" from the debut.

I like all Sunstorm albums, but I think "Emotional Fire" is the best of the bunch. I especially love the song "Wish You Were Here", a song that surprisingly is almost never mentioned in the reviews.

Survivor is my favourite band, but how they sound in this clip is beyond terrible, it's a disgrace. I was looking forward to seeing them at Hi Rock Festival, but not anymore.

"Never Too Late" is a better CD than "Crossroads Moment", but it doesn't come close to the classic Survivor CD's "Vital Signs", "When Seconds Count" and "Too Hot To Sleep". Like some others in this thread, I think those classic Survivor CD's are in a different league.

I still think "Eclipse" is a mediocre album. Only 3 good songs ("City Of Hope", "Chain Of Love" and "Anything Is Possible") is far too little IMO.

I love the Signal album, but I love Marc Free's "Long Way From Love" album even more. For me the Unruly Child album has always been overrated. It's not a bad album, but certainly not the classic it was made out to be.

Survivor is my favourite band, but I would have much preferred a reunion with Jim Peterik because the Peterik/Sullivan songwriting partnership was second to none. Besides that the Jamison era was better than the Bickler era in terms of the quality of the albums. My favourite all-time albums are still "Vital Signs" and "When Seconds Count" and I rarely play the Bickler albums (

I agree it's a very good ballad and one of the very few good songs they wrote since their reunion.

Great to hear that you're playing "One Love", because that's still my favourite W.E.T. song although I rate the new W.E.T. CD as a whole even higher than the debut. I'm really looking forward to your concert at the Biebob next friday.
