Agree with Gotthard, Tesla and House Of Lords. For me, the 2 albums that Gotthard did after Steve Lee died, have been very mediocre at best. Steve Lee's singing and songwriting was what made Gotthard great and now they are just another mediocre band. I still think that the "World Upside Down" album of House Of Lords is one of the best of this century, but since then every album is getti

I heard their EP too and I thought it was great. My expectations are very high and I expect that this CD will be in my Top 5 of 2015.

Just got back from 3 days of Firefest and I had a great weekend. Friday: I only saw 3 songs of Angels Or Kings, but they sounded good. I need to check out their CD. A nice opener. Redrum started well with "Scream" and "Can't Buy No Hero", but the next 4/5 tracks were mediocre at best. Final song "Dust In Your Eyes" was a good ending though. I only saw the first a

I still love "The Final Countdown", "Out Of This World" and "Prisoners In Paradise", but I hate everything they have done since their reunion. IMO there are just a few good songs on all their post-reunion albums combined. They don't sound like Europe anymore, boring songs with little melody and bad choruses, downtuned guitars, just terrible. They sound like a second

Very much looking forward to see them at Firefest. I only hope they put "1000 Miles" back in the set, because that's one of my favourite H.E.A.T. songs.

My favourite FM song! I can't understand why they never play this song live. Hopefully they'll include it in the Firefest setlist, because I know it will go down a storm.

I agree that the production of Ron Nevison could have been better, that's why nowadays I always listen to the Rock Candy remaster, which sounds great.

I totally agree, for me "Vital Signs" is the greatest AOR album ever. There is not one filler on this album, every song is great. Of course, you have the 3 hit singles, "The Search Is Over", "High On You" and "Can't Hold Back", but IMO there are even better songs on "Vital Signs". Till this day "I See You In Everyone" is my all-time favo

I have studio versions with Jimi singing "Ever Since The World Began" and "Eye Of The Tiger". Of Course I also have the "Fire Makes Steel" demos and I have a solo demo set of Jimi called "Have Mercy, The Demos". This last demo set contains 12 songs including Jimi's versions of 2 songs of Atlantic "Power Over Me" and "Every Beat Of My Heart&

Very sad news. I met Jimi 3 times and it struck me every time what a nice and humble guy he was. He always took the time to talk to me and my brother and take pictures. The last time I met him was in Nottingham on Firefest saturday in 2011. His concert on friday is my all-time favourite concert and late saturday evening we bumped into Jimi on the streets of Nottingham. He was very friendly as alw

I'm another one who saw KK with John Waite at Frontiers Rock Festival and I wasn't very impressed by both his playing and the way he looked. His playing and looks reminded me of a guitarist of a punk band. Bad choice IMO.

This sounds just terrible. I'm amazed how many bands just keep on going, while they clearly can't cut it anymore (Whitesnake, Dokken and Bobby Kimball are some others that come to mind).

I'm a big fan of Within Temptation's "The Unforgiving" and recently I discovered another great similar Dutch band, Delain. This is their new single "Stardust": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ubi1m5pR3hM And my favourite song of Delain "We Are The Others": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lZGhh41W9k Any other Delain fans here?

I've never been a big fan of Stryper, but I love Michael Sweet's first solo CD. For me that is easily the best thing he has ever done. I still play that CD regularly and my favourite songs are "Someday", "All I Wanna Do (Is Love You)" and "Together".

The Best Buy version of Night Ranger's "High Road" has the exclusive bonus track "Don't Even Know your Name". Here in the Netherlands we don't have Best Buy stores but I would still love to hear that track as it's supposedly one of the best ones on the album. Hopefully someone can help me with this.

The new website looks great and the lay-out is a big improvement. I only think that the new website is less user friendly than the old one. The reason for this is that you now have to click on "read more" to read every bit of news, even the "in briefs", while with the old website you didn't have to click, but you could just scroll to read all the news. I can understand that on

Nobody (including me) thought they had a chance against the reigning world cup champions Spain, but then our national team beat Spain 5-1. An unbelievable and well-deserved result with amazing goals and play from Arjen Robben and Robin van Persie (who are among the best players in the world IMO). I know it's just the first match, but it's one I will never forget.

Very interesting comments by Arnel about Steve Perry: http://www.classichitsandoldies.com/v2/2014/06/01/journey-singer-arnel-pineda-says-steve-perry-should-come-back-to-the-band/ These comments by Arnel show what a great guy he is. He is not thinking about himself, but about what should be good for Steve Perry, the band and the fans.

The truth is that Bobby Kimball's voice has been terrible for many years now, but despite all the evidence on Youtube people kept defending him and kept saying that he was still a great singer. All he does on stage nowadays is drinking water all the time and let the audience sing almost almost every chorus. While the audience does his work, all he does is act like some kind of cheerleader. It's a great album with not one filler, one of my favourite albums of 2014 so far. Every song has a great melodic chorus and the singer is very good. They changed their style completely with this album, but especially the choruses are still very melodic. For me "Renatus" is much more consistent than their previous albums.
