That's got to be the wrong link. That song was on his last album. Kent Bates

Occasionally older bands get newer stuff played, but it depends on the DJs. Eddie Trunk on Hair Nation would surely play new Whitesnake. Jim Florentine has a show on Ozzy's Boneyard which plays newer stuff and deep tracks. On Octane, I heard a show from Chris Jericho and he played a recent Stryper track. It always frustrated me that not only do stations like Hair Nation not play more modern

I've given this some thought lately, as I recently purchased the new Crazy Lixx album and found the sticker across the spine. I read on this board a while back that Amazon is legally burning certain CD-Rs and passing them off to customers as part of their "on demand" service. Is the sticker being placed across the spine a way to verify product authenticity? I can't think of one other

Talisman - Coming' Home. I actually heard this version first on their "Best Of" album and was shocked at how much better this version was than the one that was on "Genesis". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8zL1SeN6oc Kent Bates

If it's a new release, I usually go to eBay first, followed by NEH Records. If it's a CD that has been out for a while, I try Amazon, then eBay & NEH. Kent Bates

I was an audience member for Yngwie Malmsteen's "Carry On My Wayward Son" video. Only 30 people showed, so they had us gather around the stage where Yngwie was for close up shots. Footage filmed the night before at a show filled in the rest of the shots. They played the song three times and mimed to it. Even though only 30 people showed up, after the shoot he went back stage and never

This is more on the heavier side of the musical spectrum, but I love Five Finger Death Punch's "Got Your Six". Here's one of the best songs off that album: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=punla7YS6Pk Kent Bates

Really digging their last two albums as well. I'm the same way when it comes to keyboards, I don't like them being overly prominent, but there's something about this band that just works for me. Kent Bates

Agreed on "She Never Looked That Good For Me". That song had hit written all over it and yet it went nowhere. One of those weird music mysteries. Kent Bates

The first time I ever listened to Whitesnake's "Still of the Night". Sykes coming out of that incredible solo and going back to the main riff. ALL of the hairs stood up and I got that endorphine rush in the back of my head, the kind that travels down the spine. To this day, Whitesnake '87 is one of my all-time favorites. Kent Bates

I think it's really, REALLY strong. Yes, he didn't write any of the material, but I think it's his best work since "Love Is For Suckers" (Yes, I do love that album and consider it to be a Dee solo album). If I had a top 5 for the year, it would be in there. Kent Bates

Once I heard they were going to phase them out, I started collecting them. I sold a bunch on eBay. The one I remember the most was the Ratt EP longbox. Got $20 just for the box. Kent Bates

Beast In Black, Battle Beast, and Amaranthe have added effects/instruments that have been used commonly in pop/dance music, at least to my ears. Check out the following songs for examples of what I'm referring to: Battle Beast - Touch In The Night - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enSmON-pcpA Amaranthe - Electroheart - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=maUbJYAZ9-Q Kent Bates

Yeah, this sounds really good. The whole metal mixed with dance thing is appealing to me. It keeps the genre fresh. A must buy for me. Kent Bates

True story, I met my best friend because of a rock shirt at a gig. He was wearing a MelodicRock t-shirt and my first question to him was, "So, are you going to MelodicRockFest"? I am definitely one to do this. Seeing Station and Tempt next week and Jean Beauvoir a few weeks after that. Got some Christmas rock shirts all ready to go. Makes for a great conversation starter. I dig it, but of the three recent Stryper releases, this is the weakest one. Got some great songs on it: Lost, The Valley, Sea of Thieves, Can't Live Without Your Love, and The Devil Doesn't Live Here are all great. Take It To The Cross is still the worst song they've done, and no way in hell am I buying a shirt with God Damn Evil printed on it. Kent Bates

Ridiculously good. I saw this posted on Facebook by someone, but ignored it. Then I saw multiple people posting it and decided to check it out. Been playing it all day today, and this is from someone who has no desire to ever hear "Round and Round" again. Can't believe how seamlessly these two flowed together. Brilliant! Kent Bates
