Never seen her live but yes, immensely talented both vocally and on the guitar.

Cannot wait for this album to drop! How refreshing is it to hear a song that's not compressed as hell and were youn can clearly hear every instrument?!

I find the song cheesy as hell as is most of the post-Survivor stuff that Peterik has been writing. The video clip makes it even more cringeworthy. But I'm glad it's getting so much love here. ;-)

They have that Papa Roach/Skillet vibe going. Some good songs for sure, some fillers too and perhaps a tad generic.

It's a shame they can't patch things up. They had an incredible run with those first four albums.

Haha... I'd list them on etsy too. I found some cool vintage shirts there.

Yeah, SOD is their best album. Good stuff. Remember seeing them at the Gods ages ago and they were very good, nice guys too. They have that typical "Jersey sound" and I mean that as a compliment.

I don't think it's a problem because they're not a political band. Besides, they're mostly appealing to the people who elected Trump anyway.

Yes, terrible song selection. And their version of The House Of The Rising Sun (another cover I never want to hear again) is IMHO absolutely atrocious. The House Of The Rising Sun

I couldn't disagree more about Joe not being a song guy. He's one of the most song-oriented guitar player out there and most of his albums are very melodic. I think the problem was that both records came together very spontaneously and jam-liked, which I think was part of the appeal of all involved.

Forgot how good this is! Obviously a lot more AOR and less rocking than RTS, but the songs are great.

Would be interesting to hear what he'd come up with Hoekstra. The guy's a really good writer as well.

He's such a natural singer. Amazing how well his voice held up considering everything that happened. Yes, best new song so far.

It's a grower. My initial rating wasn't that high, but I like it better once you leave off 4-5 tracks.

I like both albums, perhaps the first one a bit more. Not all classic tracks but there are some solid songs. What bothered me is some of the cheesy lyrics (Sexy Little Thing, Alright) where you can sense that Sammy just threw them together on the spot.

Well, Joe was very keen on doing another album. Chad is busy with the Peppers and Sammy seems to have lost any desire to write new songs - or, as he pointed out a couple of years ago, doesn't want to spend money on an album that doesn't sell.

I was actually wondering about the source for most new vinyls. If it comes from the same CD and digital source, then what's the point?

Really liked his two previous releases, just great songs, the guy is totally underrated and an example on how to age gracefully.

Exactly, they're almost too heavy for me at times. I wish they'd get Fitz back!

There has been little press coverage of those Japanese gigs.

I agree, two spins in and I'm not quite sure what to think of it. Many songs start promising but the choruses are quite bland for the most part. I also agree about Nic's vocal delivery being a bit monotone, although in fairness to him it's almost impossible to fill Steve's boots in that regard. The only track I'm really digging is "Electrified".

Wow, that is a great tune! It has a vibe of their early stuff. The only thing I miss is a stronger keyboards presence.

Simply because you can't touch those first three albums, both in terms of songs and sonic quality. I also miss the pomp element and a stronger keyboard presence.

I haven't heard the entire record, but with 14-15 songs it's almost impossible to keek the quality up. When will bands realize that less is more?

I've been looking for this mainly for Foreigner's extended version of "That Was Yesterday". Can't find it on ebay and Amazon won't ship it to Switzerland for some odd reason. Anyone have this and would be willing to trade or sell it to me? Cheers, Peter
