Yes, Wagener for sure. Others: Andy Johns, Ted Templeman, Bob Rock, Kevin Elson, Max Norman, Keith Olsen, Ron Nevison, Eddie Kramer, Bob Ezrin. Altough not all of their jobs have aged so well, in particular listening to stuff from Nevison and Olsen.

For me, the sonic quality of an album is as important as the songs themselves. Unfortunately, the AdV's of this world ruined this genre and about 90% of new(er) records sound like crap.

That's exactly it. Streaming kills radio as well. It has become a completely obsolete medium.

Actually, she's one of the most successful fashion designers, has been for a while. Not sure if that's enough for such an honor, but she made at least as much money as David did. Smart business woman.

I think Germany has always been about their strongest market. Same reason why Blackmore's Night mainly tour Germany.

I'm glad they're not simply repeating themselves. You can't top those old records, so it's better to move on. With Morse in the band they've developed much more of a relaxed vibe, with this one in particular. You can sense they gets along great and those tunes came together effortlessly.

At the end of the day they have to make a living somehow. They get maybe 10% from the the publishing of that book, something that doesn't sell millions. Next to touring, and merchandise, selling personalized stuff, meets & greets etc. are really the only way to make a bit of money. I agree that some of this stuff is overpriced, but I don't understand the mindset from most fans and consumers w

Speedy recovery Kelly indeed! Just wondering, will Deen be singing too? Would actually love to hear how it puts his own spin on songs sung by Kelly. His playing too. Hopefuyll there will be some youtube clips.

Yes, fantastic album indeed. Appreciating the lyrical genius that is Ian Gillan once again. That monologue during "On Top Of The World" is epic. And "The Surprising" is probably the best tune they've done sind Perfect Strangers.

Don Airey mentioned in a new Eddie Trunk interview that the promoters came up that "long goodbye" slogan, not the band itself. But he also said that considering their age they obviously can't go on forever.

"April" and "A Place In The Heart" are both stunning AOR anthems, the rest isn't quite as consistent as the stuff on the debut. Will be interesting to hear DCD's opinion in terms of rights and ownership because that was discussed on this very board a couple of years back when the Rock Candy remasters of their debut was a topic.

Yes, one of many examples where they shoud have released this under a different moniker. It's a fairly good song but nowhere near to what fans would expect from a classic Warrant record.

It's not just the sub-par material over the past 4-5 albums, it's his vocal delivery that has become really stale and uninspired. On the covers albums he sings every song exactly the same way. Go back to those two Ark albums and listen to the difference!

I have not received my physical copy yet, but the layout looks fantastic, really a great homage to those 80's mags without coming across dated. Most of these other current mags have horrible artwork and design. I showed the online version to a couple of young graphic designers and they both loved the old school vibe.

I love low budget 80's soundtracks but I'm with you re Art Tisi. I think these songs have been hyped a bit too much over the years. Not bad, but my expectations were quite a bit higher. It's not classic material in my book, but I'm happy for Andrew if he sells a shitload of these ;-)

So did I! Looks great, love the layout, definitely has the vibe of those old 80's mags. Hopefully they'll do interviews with behind-the-scenes people like producers, managers etc. as well. Eddie Trunk mentioned that his most downloaded potcast is the one with Bob Rock, so I do believe people are interested in getting information about bands and records from different view points.

Finally a Scandi singer without much of an accent. By far not as sterile sounding as the other releases from up north. Nice crunchy guitar.

The three new songs I've heard are a big step forward from the debut, but I agree that there's definitely room for improvement. Still, they seem to grow organically, which is what happened with many great band. Perhaps getting a producer involved that takes their songwriting to the next level is key.
