thats unfortunate about Mick, he came on around song 4 at Newcastle and appeared to be in good health and his guitar playing was top drawer glad you enjoyed the show in his absence, they really did put on a show and Kelly is a superb frontman

Thanks Terry, I like the Aphrodisiac cd and after that they started leaving me a bit cold. Will check out their latest output then. I was very impressed with what I heard and saw of their set though. Overland is a great singer in a live environment and the band were tight Terry K. Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Just a suggestion,arp--if you're judging FM

Did not see the whole FM gig as not a massive fan, but what I heard the guys were in fine form and came across well I have seen Foreigner before so my interest was sparked by Europe. They did not play the N. Ireland gig so chose to fly over to nukey. Very impressed with Europe, as i have been starting to listen to their material more now over past few years and albums. They are a superb live

Anyone on here, who appreciates a decent live show should and quality hard rock and AOR moments should check this dude out. Saw him in Blefast last night and was very surprised considered i only heard of him last week. Its a rocking show with just a hint of country. Honestly as I stood there and it could have been any of the biggest bands we know and love on this forum and the material comes a

I'm enjoying it too! But not as polished as Silent Force and The Unforgiving The rap and grunts are not ideal but thankfully are not the core structures of the songs involved.

You do have a point the LA scene was over saturated and Any Ole Rubbish was gettin deals regardless. A purging was needed but we all have our thoughts on the way it ended. But the show was too focused on blaming hair metal etc for killing rock etc. MIKE Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Not answering to you in particular but what did > anyone really expe

I thought the first 2 episodes were decent, but then it went on its arse in the third. The continued use of the words corporate rock was annoying and got a tad repetitive. I was curious to see who the researchers were and surprise surprise that moron Phil Alexander was head researcher etc. This man was never a fan of the genre which was obvious during the years of raw power tv programme ...

Have enjoyed listening to AM and was a tad worried when MP left but this is defo sounding promising I agree in terms of the verse structure of this particular song its very nickelback sounding but also Stone Sour-ish in ways and also Disturbed. Look forward to hearing the rest of it 2_EdgedSword Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Sounds like Nickelback

i think "cheese" is very harsh ... they are excellent at what they do and their song writing and structures are not cheese. Really enjoy their stuff, right up there with W.T. Look forward to the new A/V set, thanks for the heads up

Agreed re his performances, but an awful tragedy nonetheless. He went out by all accounts for what he was famous for (fast car action) unfortunately it may not have been too nice :( Troy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I was never much of a fan. I totally agree mate, really like his stuff but this is a real shocker. I was about to pre-order this on amazon too! just dont know what to make of it ... some decent songs (4 or so) but its way too poppy ... it sounds like a P!ink album with male voice.I like her but imho they were in different leagues now they are both fighting relegation. The use of drum machines is disgraceful. The song &q

To a fellow Dream Theater fan, here is a quick run down on my thoughts re Sunday or day 3: Eclipse: got the crowd going, decent set list and a good performance by the band as a whole. Brighton Rock: another strong FF performance, belted out the tunes and enjoyed being up on stage. These guys deliver Prophet: only know their cotm cd ... Seemed to do everything right re that material. Guit

I can confirm that B.R. was indeed a nightmare and thanks to one person ... Kelly Keeling. He had the opportunity to have the FF crowd eating out of his hand, songs with big hooks and chorus along with a decent band but he totally blew it. This guy musta been on drugs or something cause it was total carnage! His band mates at times looked as if they wanted to deck him. Tbh all of us in the crowd

Firefest Day 1 was a mixed bag for me. My take on the day: The Magnificent - never heard them as I thought their debut album was very far away from their band name. Edens Curse - totally killed by the awful sound ... However the new vocalist sounded pretty poor too. Left after 2+ songs, it was unbearable. BTW I am no Michael Eden fan ... This stuff bores me rigid now, plod plod, guitar riff

Caught them in Nottingham tonight prior to Firefest. Good night, band in top form. Todd kicks Tate's ass and it's refreshing to see.
