Well it wasn't that hard as we are all very close friends and have been doing music together 15 years....Mecca is more than a band...it becomes family... And...Shannon and David will be literally fresh off their tour with Toto as their rhythm section...so I am SURE some Toto will be in the books...BUT I WON'T sing Toto stuff without Toto being there out of respect....but, I am sure I can get J

Hey.... I just got out of the studio here in Nashville and we literally were discussing this earlier with Hungate and Shannon Forrest.... Protools...digital is EASIER THAN ANALOG....BUT, is inferior sound quality wise by a TON...those saying digital sounds better are uneducated as to what sonics actually are... Analog is way MORE expensive but the sonic improvement is such that it is wor

Christian was the man....seriously... He kicked Mecca II into gear with me and was a great collaborator....he did a masterful job playing on Mecca II and also live at MRfest2...the two weeks he stayed with me were a blast... I feel horrible for his wife...his one year old son that will never know the wonderful splendor that was his Dad... I am personally very set back by this...I lost Dr

Thanks Gooch!!! I never pushed him into music, but instead I just supported whatever he wanted to do...when music became that passion I was more than thrilled...playing MRfest3 with him was a blast...and the crowd was so supportive...other genres may be bigger, but this genre has the nicest most loyal fan base of any for sure...looking forward to MRFest 4!!!!!! Thanks again!!! JV

I will say this...I have heard good productions done digitally...but NEVER one with programmed drums...that is "grid rock" we call it...and the word groove and programmed does NOT equate!!!

A great SOUNDING record and a great record are not always the same thing....love and caring and all that are great things...but I will take an SSL in a World Class studio over a home studio and a bucket of love any day.... A great song done with programmed drums, with all guitar plugins and everything to the grid is a great song in demo form...if your doing a record, DO A RECORD!!!! Again..

Well it is all a matter of opinion... However, a digital recording will never sound as deep and rich as an analogue (2" tape) recording that is done by equally talented engineers....and if you think a plug in of a vintage LA 2A compressor sounds the same as a real vintage unit than you should definitely stick with a home studio and get your ears checked. Recordings of today ARE cheaper to

Brian... Your words and more than kind...and it is my honor that you dig Undeniable!!!! I am beyond words with what you said...thank you so much...Fergie is fighting...I have faith...and as far as my voice I was about 75% at the show but that was 15 weeks after surgery and they told me a year...so I am way way ahead of schedule...and I have glimmers if it all being back so within probably a fe

Luke is definitely in the best shape he has been in 15 years...especially amazing is the road he travelled to get there...he is completely a different guy physically, and from a guy like me who has just lost 95 pounds, beat cancer and is back in the fold I am even more amazed that he was able to accomplish what he has...and can appreciate the difficulty of doing what he did...we hear so much of g

Hey Guys.... Luke lost his monitors for like 4 tunes...I had that happen at a Peterik gig years back, Holy Crap does that suck!!! And, they had Joseph sing "on the Run" because they wanted their lead singer to sing the first tune...makes sense to me!!! Plus, he smoked it!!!! I cannot wait to see them in August in Detroit!!! These guys still bring it!!! Big Time!! JV

And...Abe....as far as busting my chops over how long Mecca II took imagine what Frontiers said!!! Ugh!!! It was all worth it for me though, it was not the hard rock album some expected, but it fit my voice and since I was solo and did not have my man Fergie next to me like on Mecca I choices needed to be made...in the end I was very happy with the album...I think Tommy D and Eric would agree!! Well....since TD and I are or were very close with both guys I will weigh in as well...Bobby was an amazing talent, one of the best...buut as singers time catches is all ( unless you are Richard Page )....BUT as far as Luke being dark????? All I can say is that he has been an absolute class act since Toto ended, then reformed with 3 original members...Luke has not said boo about BK and drugs (Luk

Hey Guys... I guess I am in the minority, but I really do dig it....I see what he was going for...moody, lyrically it threw me because I had No freaking idea what he was talking about....Guess I have been in Chicago too long ;-)....BUT....sonically it is vintage Bowie....super bass heavy....and cool clean guitar parts....it surely is not pop pablum, nor mindless drivel as some infer, I did enj

All I can say is I am blown away with this album...I have really liked all of Steve's solo work....but this far surpasses those...Tracks 2 - 4 are most definitely his finest work with the pen, or guitar in his career...The rest of the album is 10/10, those 3 are 11/10....The emotional content he unleashed on this recording is unlike anything I have ever heard him do...This album moved me like the
