From the Outfield Facebook Page this morning: It is with great sadness to inform you that John passed away at 09.55 on Wednesday 9th July 2014. He was 60 years old. As many of you know, he had been suffering from liver cancer for many years and bravely fought the disease until the very end. We are relieved that his passing was peaceful and painless. John was a loving husband, inspirational fat

3 more songs that will be on Brothers of the Southland were from a Demo disk that Blackhawk sold strictly on their website before Down From The Mountain came out. It was done while they were just forming as a Trio, so there it's very laid back, unplugged and raw, but the harmonies are still there! So it sounds like the new CD will have songs from Spirit Dancer, Demos (Baby The Rain Must Fall,

He needs to gargle with gasoline and smoke a couple six packs of smokes to get the raspiness in his voice. I guess we'll see how the fans react to their live shows this summer in North America..

Maybe I'm just out to lunch, but has the new site been launched yet or are they still tweaking it? As of this morning (7am MST) on June 2nd, it looks like the old site to me..

I've found hints to Seven ( in newspaper) Man In Motion (Bridge), Dawn Patrol, 7 Wishes, Maybe GH/Big Life (on Bridge base), Somewhere In Califonia. Still looking for Neverland and Midnight Madness. Is it just me, or does it also have a "Feedin Off The Mojo" vibe to the cover?

Hmm.. You know they've toured before without Malcolm (Blow Up Your Video Tour I believe) it was his nephew or cousin I believe.. But I guess at this stage of the game, it's all five or none!

I saw AIC open for Van Halen in Nov of 91.. Layne was so out of it, mumbling into the microphone, crawling on the stage, almost keeling over. He was GONZO. Worst single concert experience I have seen. It's one of those shows that sticks with you. It was nothing but noise.. No harmonies, just utter shite. Combine that with Sammy Hagar being terribly ill and cutting the show short less than

You're entitled to your opinion Boskan.. But have you LISTENED to the new Boston CD? It's utter rubbish and it is heartbreaking that the band that turned out the first 3 cds (and I'll even give them Walk On) is putting out such garbage now. My opinion and certainly not a Joke. But if you're a fan of it.. so be it, that's your right.

A little precursor.. On Nov 11th, 1988 I opened up the Edmonton Journal before I was about to march in Rememberance Day Ceremonies later on that morning. As I was flipping through the Entertainment section, my jaw dropped and I was blown away.. In front of me was a full page ad for "BOSTON - Christmas In Canada Tour, 1988" and a date for Northlands Coliseum.. With Boulevard (another fa

I've seen Nickelback 4 times, once in 99 before they broke (opening for the Headstones). At that time they were a very hungry, but very tight band learning their craft. I was blown away by their performance. Then I saw them twice within a few months of each other in 04, and those shows were awesome. Pyro, big stage, great setlist. Couldn't wait to see them again. I last saw them in 07 (t

As I was getting dressed this morning I looked up into my closet and spotted my Van Stephenson memorial Teddy Bear and it said "Nov 4th 1953 - April 8th, 2001". Then it hit me. Today would have been Van's 60th birthday. Although I didn't know his solo stuff, his work with Blackhawk was flat out amazing. Although I love the band to death, they haven't been truely the same without h

Jeez.. I'd rather listen to it then the supposed "masters" of Melodic Rock: Place Vendome, Masterplan, Jorn or Treat which all left me bored to tears never to be played again..
