Saw them open for BOSTON - December 13th, 1998 at Northlands Coliseum. 17 years old and 4th row floor. Phenomenal show. Far From Over is one of my anthems. Always will be! Might have to check out this DVD!

If he does read the board.. Great way to respond to the people that PAID for the CD isn't it now? I agree with Robert, and many of you here.. I love his stuff, but Afraid of Ghosts just left me flat.. and that's the first time I've really said that about any of his stuff.

Let me start by saying I'm a huge Butch Fan. Left Of Self Centered is one of my favorite Cds. I've purchased pretty much everything he's put out, and I finally was in Edmonton yesterday and found "Afraid of Ghosts". Was excited to hear the rest of it. I know Butch has had some huge tragedies in his life (house fire, losing his father, etc) but did he just decide to become a shoestar

Trooper Beer is really good - AC/DC Lager though - not sure what they were getting at, not a traditional Aussie beer, It's brewed in France! As for the Motorhead Beer - that's the one I'm most eager to try, but it's not available in Canada as of yet.

You know he'd probably be saying the same thing if Styx replaced DDY with a CLONE (ala Journey, Judas, etc).. Which by the way THEY (Tommy, JY and Chuck) DIDN'T EVER WANT TO DO IN THE FIRST PLACE..

I caught Roxette back in 2012 - she did look frail and they had a back up singer do the higher notes (which they actually had when I saw them in 92 as well) but I think part of that could be age. I am not sure if she's had any health setbacks since then.

I awoke this morning to the terrible news that Nick Marsh, Lead Singer and Guitarist of 80s goth/punk/pop/nu wave band Flesh For Lulu passed away this morning after a courageous battle with Cancer. Ever have a song get entrenched into your soul and become a definite soundtrack song to your life? That's what "I Go Crazy" was for me. From there I got "Long Live The New Flesh&q

First single/video did nothing for me honestly. Meh. Maybe I'm just getting bitter in my old age. This and Revolution Saints has left me flat.

I wasn't sure what to expect while listening to this, I was excited about the project, but I didn't expect them to be a Journey clone and it to sound so.. generic. Disappointed that Jack didn't do more the lead vocals. Maybe it will grow on me, but for right now, It's leaving me flat.

Maybe.. Honestabe, but CMC was really pushing the new lineup and wanted a new CD, especially after seeing them live. Which I also believe fulfilled their contract with them. After they were dropped/CMC Folded, Styx really didn't have label support and of course smaller labels just want live albums or DVDs. Shrug. JY, Ricky and Gowan have said there is new music maybe released by end of 2

Anyone know of this fellow? From the Nazareth Facebook page: We take great (really great) pleasure introducing to you our new singer, Carl Sentance. We had been looking at Carl from afar for some time and very much liked what we saw (and heard) so we asked him to come up and sing a couple of songs with us in the studio. He came in on Tuesday and completely blew us away in the space of ha

I have a bunch of the bonus stuff to if anyone is wanting mp3 of it too. As well, I asked for this (and received it - thanks again!) but there was one fellow who asked for some Styx rarities, but I lost his email address and his name. Any chance you replied to this posting?

Oh I know Don.. It seems where there is Oil, Gas and Logging revenue, there is disposable income. It seems like more smaller towns in BC, Alberta, Saskatachewan and even Manitoba are getting bigger named artists. As for the snow, yes Southern Alberta got anywhere from 10-20 Cm's the last few days!

I am two hours NE of Edmonton, in St. Paul, AB. Which the area strangely is turning into a little classic rock concert "hotspot"..(Bonnyville/Cold Lake region) In the past 3 years we've had: Nazareth, Trooper, April Wine/Loverboy/Burtin Cummings, Tragically Hip, Alice Cooper, Hedley (I know not Classic but still popular), Crash Karma, Big Sugar, 3 Doors Down, ZZ Top, and next m

I was front row in Edmonton, AB and I was blown away. I still get chills thinking about 39', the end of Love Of My Life and Adam's amazing rendition of Who Wants To Live Forever. Also glad that one of my fellow Edmontonians recorded the show from the crowd.. Until the blu ray is released, I have that to listen to!

I guess I was lucky in a sense that I got to see Jimi lead Survivor twice - In 2000 as part of the Arch Allies tour with Reo Speedwagon and Styx, and then albeit briefly, in 2001 in Minnedosa, MB's "Little River Rock Fest - That day Kim Mitchell, Survivor, and Styx were to play but a HUGE storm came in during Kim's set, cut it short and then it left. Survivor hit the stage, but about 25 minu

Actually Snake, he has in the past blocked Styx from recording his stuff, it was only in 2010 that he softened his stance and let them release his material from The Grand Illusion and Pieces of Eight for video release. Hence why there isn't any of his songs on the CD or DVD of Arch Allies release (other than Lady, which was owned not by Dennis but by RCA so he had no control of the rights to t
