I was 10.. It was one of the first cassettes I'd ever bought. Before I got really hooked into music, My tape collection was Men At Work S/T, April Wine Animal Grace, Police Synchronicity and Asia - Asia. My old AM Country Station used the beginning "Sole Survivor" as their news intro.. lol. Took me back to a time where I listened to the radio and just listened to my music on a b

Haven't really heard to much of the Dead Daisies now that John Corabi is their lead singer.. have been meaning to check them out. Didn't care for their first album.. couldn't get into the singer. Tried listening to Rival Sons again this morning. Maybe I just am Led Zepplined out. I shut it off after the first four songs. They are just trying too hard to be Led Zeppelin.. or is it the White

I loved 80s Hard Rock, 70s Arena Rock, and 90s stuff like Collective Soul, Harem Scarem, M3, etc. 2000s - Avenged, Volbeat. Just discovered Trivium, got into a few songs, then the guy started sounded like Cookie Monsterand I never went back to it. Scandi Metal is what you are calling it now? Masterplan/Jorn - never got into it, I put Treat in there as well. Shrug. I'm just like this with

Treat fits in the whole "Euro" metal that just all sounds the same and generic. IMHO.

I had high hopes for Wonder Days by thunder, but after a few spins, there is more songs I skip on it than listen too. I loved 80s Hard Rock, 70s Arena Rock, and 90s stuff like Collective Soul, Harem Scarem, M3, etc. New Butch - gawd awful. Thunder - meh. CS - 3-4 tracks are ok. Haven't even purchased the new HS live CD/DVD.

I've seen Thornley and Big Wreck live a few times. Living in Canada it is part of the overplayed "Nickelback Offspring" variety. Must of hit a dry spell if he's covering and re-releasing one of his own songs..

Hey all.. Haven't really posted much these past few months.. but I'm just curious, is it just me or is there really nothing music wise to get "excited" about anymore? I turn on the radio and it's well, shit. Maybe I've just gotten to busy with life, but I use to enjoy listening to new bands and their products, and as of right now, everything sounds so generic, it leaves me flat.

Saw them open for BOSTON - December 13th, 1998 at Northlands Coliseum. 17 years old and 4th row floor. Phenomenal show. Far From Over is one of my anthems. Always will be! Might have to check out this DVD!

If he does read the board.. Great way to respond to the people that PAID for the CD isn't it now? I agree with Robert, and many of you here.. I love his stuff, but Afraid of Ghosts just left me flat.. and that's the first time I've really said that about any of his stuff.

Let me start by saying I'm a huge Butch Fan. Left Of Self Centered is one of my favorite Cds. I've purchased pretty much everything he's put out, and I finally was in Edmonton yesterday and found "Afraid of Ghosts". Was excited to hear the rest of it. I know Butch has had some huge tragedies in his life (house fire, losing his father, etc) but did he just decide to become a shoestar

Trooper Beer is really good - AC/DC Lager though - not sure what they were getting at, not a traditional Aussie beer, It's brewed in France! As for the Motorhead Beer - that's the one I'm most eager to try, but it's not available in Canada as of yet.

You know he'd probably be saying the same thing if Styx replaced DDY with a CLONE (ala Journey, Judas, etc).. Which by the way THEY (Tommy, JY and Chuck) DIDN'T EVER WANT TO DO IN THE FIRST PLACE..

I caught Roxette back in 2012 - she did look frail and they had a back up singer do the higher notes (which they actually had when I saw them in 92 as well) but I think part of that could be age. I am not sure if she's had any health setbacks since then.

I awoke this morning to the terrible news that Nick Marsh, Lead Singer and Guitarist of 80s goth/punk/pop/nu wave band Flesh For Lulu passed away this morning after a courageous battle with Cancer. Ever have a song get entrenched into your soul and become a definite soundtrack song to your life? That's what "I Go Crazy" was for me. From there I got "Long Live The New Flesh&q

I wasn't sure what to expect while listening to this, I was excited about the project, but I didn't expect them to be a Journey clone and it to sound so.. generic. Disappointed that Jack didn't do more the lead vocals. Maybe it will grow on me, but for right now, It's leaving me flat.

Maybe.. Honestabe, but CMC was really pushing the new lineup and wanted a new CD, especially after seeing them live. Which I also believe fulfilled their contract with them. After they were dropped/CMC Folded, Styx really didn't have label support and of course smaller labels just want live albums or DVDs. Shrug. JY, Ricky and Gowan have said there is new music maybe released by end of 2
