I like the last two eps a lot. Harder more aggressive sound. But not sure how Tony's voice will work for that more aggressive style David

vantheman......i am kinda surprised by your views but totaly respect them...its all good..roth did some great things in the past there is NO doubt. I think its safe to say without DLR there is NO van halen today........... but....i will say withouth Sammy there also may be no VAn halen today...the roth years ran there course...to me now its all old stuff.. but its all good..its all rock n r

the reason i disagree is many interview back then by eddie was how he was so much happier...sammy and eddie were a TEAM writing and playing... a recent interview with eddie made it sound like he and dave rarely talk.."dave is off doing his dave thing"...even daves interivews over the past year or so imply little contact.. nothing against wolfgang but i think we all can agree tha

recently with all the talke bout van halen i watched my dvd of this concert. Now of course most likley it was over dubbed and yes this was over 25 years ago, but boy did this band have fire. This is NOT a knock on roth and recent live stuff. But during 10 of the 11 years of van hagar they all seem to be having so much fun. I remember eddie saying back in the day they were more of a BAND...

after readinng article regarding this on front page I had a question.. I "assume" based on song selection that this is a fully PLUGGED in rocking concert and not an accoustically journey?? I just wanted to make sure before I ordered this.. david

I thought it sounded like Dave. No better no worse. Sorry but I think it's lame to make fun of his hair or lack of. I would assume majority of people on this board have some hair loss. He shaved his head a month or two ago. This time he let it grow. So what. Now I much prefer sammy and want Van Hagar but I agsin think too much is being made of Roths singing.

I think the meet and greets have been priced way too high. A lot of the true die hards who still buy the albums just can't afford it. It turns out to more people who are just into celebrity stuff that can afford it.

Will that actually sound any different or better than remastered versions a few years ago?

I see VH is remastering the Roth era again ( still sad no extras and said chooses to ignore Van Hagar) but my question is what's different on these and what they did about 5-6 years ago? I didn't buy the remastered versions a few years ago still have original CDs. But was curious if this is all marketing or something better and or different. Dsvid

I like to comment on this. First of all I am not really a Toto fan. I mean unlke most of you, I have not followed them much since mid 80's. I only have two cds by them. I have isolation (which I bought because I loved the song stranger in town, and feel this album is underrated. It was more uptempo that most Toto stuff and I still like it) ..and I have their Greatest hits. Thats it. I have al

i agree andrew. the bands actions does not make any sense. I an not against this new live release but in this market how many will it sell? if it had a live dvd/blu ray it make sense. they remastered all the roth albums several years ago and now releasing them again remastered again supposedly. but they have done nothing to the van hagar era. I personally think this is all eddie so sammy ge

I was wondering if anyone else has gotten this and what their opinions are? I just kinda got into them with their last album The connection. hard, modern , yet melodics..I bought their previous one called metamorphis and liked it even better..harder. I got FEAR 2 weeks ago and at first listen it was ok, but after a few listens It has really grown on me. Very solid more modern rock album.

Posted a week or so ago about how I really liked their concert blu Ray and liked the newer songs. I have never been a huge fan. I have final countdown and greatest hits. That's it. But liked some of the stuff I heard so bought war of kings. I can see why those who prefer more hooks and melody like their 80s stuff might not like this and I guess the direction the band has done the last ten

I have seen this band mentioned on here many times and mostly good reviews but honestly never listen to their stuff. while I like all kinds i prefer a little harder rock and if i remember i heard it was kinda soft. Even though I love Jeff Scott soto.. Well with that said I have been loving the new SOTO album. I just ordered few cds from Amazon and saw there 2 cd 1 dvd live set. i remember re

Correct me if I am wrong. Just wanted to clarify. The settlement between Geoff and band members is the band has the name queensryche and Geoff has full rights to operation mindcrime. I assume this means the band queensryche when touring can not play a single song from mondcrime album. Is that correct? Thanks. David

during christmas I got alot of new cds and dvd/blu rays and this was one. Now, I will say I am not a die hard Europe fan. I only have the Final countdown and greatest hits. I will admit I only skimmmed the live blu ray and do not know much bout their output last 10 years. I see on here the reviews are mixed mainly not to quality but to more style. well I recnetly pulled out the blu r

I have noticed in past year or two that when bands have a new album as we know they release a single before album release to generate interest. Been like that for years. However in last few years seems like for one they release the single sometimes months instead of weeks ahead of release and two many times 3-4 songs are released so better part of the album in some cases. Is that smart to rel
