I noticed this too Andrew...over the course of the show he was just reaching too much in places, trying to add too many unnecessary notes when just sticking to playing the song would suffice just fine.

They did perform seperately for many songs, obviously, but did sing together on It's The singer not the song, Rockin into the Night, Eye Of The Tiger. Thise were the three that I can recall when both of them were onstage singing through the entire song!

Scott, That's my opinion (emphasis on opinion) which I have a right to and yes I stand by it. I think the songs are well written and produced. And the album was well thought out. I believe it compliments the Survivor material very well. Now I'm not saying it's better than anything that Survivor has ever done but I do believe that Jimi sounds fantastic on the album...you can take it or leave it w

And now my thoughts on the show...I have to admit I was quite excited as a big melodic rock fan to see this current lineup of Survivor last night at Hollywood Casino in Charlestown WVA about 45 minutes from where I live. Bickler was in so was Jamison along with Sullivan. Obviously we all miss the legendary Jim Peterik's involvement in the band but this still was pretty exciting going into the sho

Thoughts??? I'm seeing the band perform tomorrow night in West Virginia! Dave and Jimi on one stage...should be quite a night of melodic rock! Since it was just announced today wondering if Bickler will be performing tomorrow night on stage??? We shall see! Promises to be interesting! Dave Bickler back in Survivor!

I will be attending M3 again this year, with friends that I met at MRFest 1 and 2. We will then be attending MRFest 3 in Chicago in September! M3 is a good festival and its only 1.5 hrs from me. Not in the legendary status of Andrews MRFest shows though!

This is a fabulous sophomore release! You can always make the argument for so many bands sounding like Journey/Survivor, but not hearing it on Lionville's first 2 albums! Some great moments on the new cd, the redo of Waiting for a Star to fall is extrodinary, with some more amped up guitar and a superb vocal delivery! Bill Champlin (Chicago) is featured on Higher. And so many catchy songs throug

Agreed that OOTS is an absolute masterpiece in this genre. I thought Vinny Burns performance on this album adds to the classic sound. He plays like a beast throughout!!! Disappointed he was never with them past the Blood From Stone album, don't think they have ever reached the heights of OOTS since. Wish they would make a new album that is a return to the classic sound of the debut...but they see

Sorry to hear you all won't be able to make Firefest. Really enjoyed you guys set and fan interaction at MR FEST 2. Also appreciate the note to fans from both you and Kivel Records on why you all are not being able to play at Firefest this year. You guys are first class and know that you care about the fans and the scene in general. Wish the same could be said about Warrant and there management.

As someone who attended both MR Fests the way Andrew handled both shows was professional and an emphasis on everyone having a great time. I have made some good friends that I met at both shows, so thanks to Andrew that opportunity would have never presented itself if it wasn't for both shows. It is disappointing that sponsorship isnt there for another one anytime soon, but those 2 shows were possi

Thanks for the update Andrew...glad they are remastering and re-releasing the debut. It is a melodic rock gem that is difficult to find online. In the meantime I continue to enjoy Worlds Collide, one of the best of 2010!!!

Any recommendations on finding these 2 albums on cd without paying a fortune??? Debut is unavailable on NEH records and ITunes. Have seen it on and off on Ebay. Half.com is charging way to much. Do know the debut is out of print also. Any help would be much appreciated!!

I thought the regular price of MR Fest 1 was very reasonable...45 bucks I believe...Depending on what you will be offering...I think a VIP ticket should run in the 80 to 85 dollar range. And I'm glad you will be encouraging the mingling of artists and fans...like what Chalfant did...had a table selling his new album and did a meet and greet...that was very cool. Would love to see even more table

I would like to see an emphasis on bands that don't get to the states much or at all.....Bonfire, Gotthard, Dare, Khymera, Mike Slamer, Brother Firetribe...also the only carry over from MR fest 1 i'd like to see again is Chalfant, Peterik, JLT, and JSS. I hope Andrew can make it happen again...he worked very hard to put the first one together and worked the entire day of...making sure everyone wa
