What I miss is the yin and yang of Dennis and Tommy, their voices together. That band had a magic to it, and it's been missing since '99 when JY and Tommy opted to go on without DeYoung.

Not at all. I am accepting of Arnel for Journey and Kelly for Foreigner, ect... Those two singers do very respectable jobs. In Gowan's case, I don't even have a problem with his keyboard playing. He nails Dennis's parts pretty spot on to these ears. It's just his "Ernest T. Bass" stage persona and his mousey vocals.

There is no need to post that thread. There can be no debate. It's pretty cut and dry that David brought the best atmosphere to VH and Sammy brought the best voice...

I don't see any harm in it. I had just watched the concert and it was fresh on my mind. Where else would one go to talk about Styx? Andrew's got the best site on the net about the genre...

I hardly ever post anymore. There are many topics that get brought up time and time again. This post is nothing out of the ordinary. 90% of anything we talk about on here has to be from the past because that's the nature of "classic rock." It's a genre from the past. Thus... there is a ton of repetition over the years. So I respectfully ask you to let me post once every now and the

I was trying to think of people that could handle the keyboard parts as well. It shortens the list of possible replacements considerably. Carrack at least has a STRONG voice. Maybe not the exact tone but I could live with that just to hear the songs sang decently again.

Lawrence Gowan is killing me Smalls! Why does anybody like him? He is so annoying jumping around the stage like a lunatic and destroying Dennis's songs! His voice is so thin that he sounds like an elf! If they are going to continue to ostracize Dennis from the band, then could they at least get someone with some balls to their voice like John Elefante perhaps?? Maybe Paul Carrack? It ruin

To me one of the saddest aspects of the whole thing is that the guy truly does have a great voice. I have been watching the videos posted. He has a great tone and range... But all indications are that he is a habitual liar and who knows what else? So who cares about his talent level if he's going to negate it with all this crap?

Wow... That was a very interesting video! He actually has a good voice! However he messed up the words all through the song and that little dance he does at 1:42 is comparable to the "Carlton" from "Fresh Prince" LOL Journey would look like clowns with him as the front man!

This dude is super talented. Watch him build this song as he goes without missing a beat. It's mesmerizing and I do understand why he is one of the most popular acts out there. If you listen to the tone of his voice, he sounds a lot like John Waite when he isn't in his falsetto. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dfk7_Fh59GU

This is the BEST I have ever heard this song sang with the exception of Brad Delp... And the acoustic/fiddle atmosphere is an awesome spin on the song as well. Great Job in my opinion... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0rQ_XSlc9g

I don't understand how close they could sound to the recording without the distinctive voice of Lou Gramm. I love Kelly and he is pretty close to Lou's tone but not enough that I would mistake his voice for Lou's.

I enjoy reading your reviews but I don't base any of my music buying decisions on what anyone else says. I find it kind of sad that he is so dependent on your opinions. He should just listen himself and decide if he likes something or not...

I just missed him last Thursday myself! I was going to go until I did some research and heard that he was only playing about 4 or 5 White Lion songs. I don't know (or have a desire to know) his solo stuff. I just want to hear the old hits and be nostalgic.

I don't think people are just going to see 'Queen' due to Brian and Roger - and certainly not Lambert Actually, I think at least half of the people are going to see the current Queen line up BECAUSE of Adam Lambert. He is so massively talented and he is relevant with this generations audience due to his age, "Idol" fame, and of course that ridiculous range he has as a vocalist.

God and religion is not a "bad" thing. People like you and some others that have posted that look down on religion really make me a little sad. I don't understand why people can't just live and let live. NOBODY really knows for sure if there is a God or not. We all have our theories and beliefs and there are tons of different religions. And some people don't believe in anything.. th
