I thought they retired. Honestly, I can't keep up to date anymore.

Wow, I don't like that arrangement at all. Not even a little bit.

Agreed. I only saw them once, on the Show Business tour in a local club. There were only about 50 people in attendance, which was sad, but Kix went on and played like they were performing for 50,000. They were true professionals and put on one hell of a show. I will always respect the band for that.

We had a great time and they put on a good show. Honestly, I wondered going in how he would pull off the vocals because their vocal arrangements are very challenging. There isn't a split second to breathe in many of their choruses. They do a lot of call-response type vocals and he is the call and the response, without much help from the band. Also, his lower register kind of got lost in the m

Taking my daughter. She and I have liked their music for years, dating back to when she was an early teen. Well, she's a junior in college now and they are playing on her campus...so we're going! Interestingly, I've been into their music since 2007 but have never watched even a youtube clip of them live so I really have no idea what to expect of them as a live act.

Dog Eat Dog is, indeed, fantastic. To me, it is a very complete album. A little bit of everything, and all very well done. I agree about Ultraphobic and Belly to Belly. A change in direction but I still listen to both regularly. Good stuff. When he was on top of his game, Jani was so very good. Here is a video of him singing House of Broken Love with Great White when he was filling in for

I suppose having a massive Type A personality can overshadow many flaws or shortcomings in talent and ability. I've seen it in the corporate world over and over and over.

I like Pink Floyd but that track didn't do much for me until the solo at the end. Maybe an instrumental album would be a good thing if this song is any indication.

If the record companies would had dropped the price of CD's to $7.99 (or lower), as Dee presumes they should have...the same thing would've happened.

Todd Griffin sang for The Graveyard Train, if I'm remembering correctly. The unreleased (I think) album that he did with Mark Kendall under the name of Train Station is also very good. I have a copy of it, but honestly can't recall how I acquired it.

It is interesting that he is generally known as a comic who was "also an actor". Before anyone ever heard of him, he was a classically trained actor and received a full scholarship to the renowned Juilliard School. After leaving there, he started doing stand-up and the rest, as they say, is history.

Point taken, but where do the "people with the money" to market/promote get their money? Ultimately, from the consumer.

I might have the money, but I don't really have the time. At my age (44) and my current circumstances, I am very selective about the music I purchase due to the lack of time to spend listening. I bought tons more music 20-25 years ago than I do now. Disposable income, yes. Disposable time, not so much.
