I wasn't familiar with the PoL song, but I just found it on YouTube. Different song. Very different.

I know this was a topic several days ago, but bringing it back to the top...I've had the weekend to give it repeated listens and it is VERY good. I'm really enjoying it. It is diverse, captures a lot of different styles and Tom delivers well across all of them. Hard for me to pick a favorite, because there are several candidates. The opener, "Solid Ground", may be it but I also re

Maybe not our genre, but "Escape (The Piña Colada Song)" is a good answer.

Was fanatical. 1988-1990 would qualify as 'was'.

I just think it's bizarre, that's all. If he's happy with it, which he apparently is, then so be it. Didn't mean to put your panties in a wad. It just seems to me that Bon Jovi certainly presents itself as a "band", not as a solo act with a backing band. So to exclude him doesn't seem very "band-like". A "band" with a long-time member who really isn't a member

Yep, I'm sure he's paid quite well for being treated like a second class citizen. Must be worth it to him.

I liked it, too, and also agree that the remix is an improvement. I hadn't listened to it for awhile but I've had the remix on all weekend and I'm really digging it.

I emailed and received a response from Frontier regarding the pricing of the remix version. Apparently the digital distributor was at fault and the situation is supposed to be resolved soon. The special $4.99 price should be available, at least on iTunes and Amazon, within the next couple days.

I think Crack a Smile is VERY good. If I was going to pull out a Poison CD to listen to start to finish, that would probably be the one.

When I click on the links to the song samples, I get Elation songs, not the live CD. Anyone else having this issue?

I couldn't get through it. Listening to his maniacal rantings is one thing. Trying to read it in print is more than my brain can handle.

I disagree about throwing the studio tracks from Mirrorball on a new album. I already paid for and have those songs.

My daughter likes some stuff from Rock of Ages (the musical) and from the TV show Supernatural, but I'm quite certain it has nothing to do with me or that she would ever admit.

Yep, and check out The Cars - Heartbeat City. That has Mutt all over it. Magic sounds like a song that DL could've done a hard rock version of.

Yep, I have and love the live version as well. But it doesn't have that vocal line under the solo. :)

With the 25 anniversary and all, I've been listening to Hysteria this week. With headphones, which I haven't done in quite some time. I don’t know why this never stood out to me before, or if I’d simply forgotten about it (getting old is a bitch) but I noticed the layer of vocals underneath the solo in Love and Affection (from 2:37 through 2:57). Freakin’ brilliant. The incredible gen
