Most likely the same series. They're sponsored by the local radio station WMMO and started around 1991 or so. Way too many bands to list that have played there. They used to perform on outside stages just outside of Church Street Station but have since moved to several locations throughout the downtown area. Favorites were Kansas, The Fixx, America, Night Ranger, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Peter

Cannot even remember how many acts I've seen in this series of free concerts over the last 20+ years. Night Ranger played the WMMO series several years ago and they were great. Still had Jeff Watson in the bandat that time...

Hard rock music and mainstream metal killed themselves out by losing all originality and becoming far too generic. To put it simply, it ran its course and it was over. By the time grunge hit, we were already into the 4th generation of L.A. hair bands and it was just tiresome.

What part of “I haven’t worked with Neal. We’re trying. It’s tough. I’m doing my best in that area and I can only do so much” says that he'd like to work with them again? In all honesty, that was the most benign statement that he could possibly make. What's "tough"? In what "area" are you doing your best? You can "only do so much" at what?................

The main aspect of Wounded Bird releases in the way of booklets is somewhat cool while at the same time disappointing; they are usually an exact replica of the original album cover and credits which thirty/forty years ago could be very scarce. As for the music itself, I don't think that Wounded Bird actually "remasters" any of their releases. But they have released a lot of albums that

@Steve: it's all a matter of personal tastes. Some people love Great White while others like me, not so much. I've never heard anything thing by them that was groundbreaking, original or unique. When they were opening for Whitesnake, quite honestly I was at the point of starting to dislike the whole hard rock scene as every band was starting to sound just like all the others. I was already headin

-Def Leppard '83, Fayetteville, N.C. Middle of July, probably 90 degrees outside with no shade; General admission show so we're all waiting outside for hours for doors to open when the entire crowd parted like the Red Sea....some poor over-indulged fat boy is on his hands and knees in a pool of vomit that was really nothing more than beer (vomit with a head). He then proceeds to stand up, scream

Great White is only one of two bands that I ever walked-out on in a live setting; opening for Whitesnake in'88 and were so boring I left for a beer and waited outside until they finished.

I'm going to go with it being an issue with the rights, i.e. who actually owns the rights and who's willing to release control over that particular release....

Unfortunately, Deep Purple, for as influential and successful as they are, does not have the fan base that Kiss has to push it through. I have a feeling that they will be passed over next year as well, which would be a real shame. And as Andrew said, absolutely no surprise at all, not in the very least surprising in any way shape or form that Nirvana were inducted in their first time up. God how
