I hope it does well, announced nice and early so people know about the gigs and quite a few shows no Manchester but Sheffield and Liverpool. My only worry is they are pretty big venues hope they do good business.

The most pretentious show I've seen - even including Kiss in full make up! Fantastic musicians, great singers, great set very professional. Thought nathan and jeff were fantastic.

They are being marketed as being similar to MGMT and Two door cinema club (who they are supporting in the US) for the hip kids. Really liked what I heard then streamed the rest of the album and it did veer into indie pop territory, but it's not bad.

I think Rainbow would be more likely than Purple, although the Hughes/Coverdale version is always talked about. Kansas with all original members, Somewhere to Elsewhere was fantastic and Livgren back in the band shows what has been missing for the last decade. Yes - 90125 line up. You never know the revolving door policy might swing back. ELO - Jeff Lynne and Richard Tandy were a bit act

To add my two cents here. Belinda is a fantastic singer. I can see what she's aiming for here which is to update her sound for a younger audience, which does work. It's really catchy with a good chorus and she sounds great. However it's not a patch on anything on heaven on earth or runaway horses. The guitars are too far down in the mix, and the electronic voices just don't do it for me, but if t

Tried it, I appreciate they are using real musicians rather than samples, however the tracks are very samey and with the exception of the Georgio track it is forgettable second rate 70's rehash, and not a patch on early stuff. Try listening to Chic for the real deal...

Kansas - Think the band do Fight Fire with fire from John E's era. Danger danger - Think at Firefest when the band were "messing about" at the end of the set they started to play one of Pauls songs but Ted didn't want to know.

Don't know where he finds the time between solo stuff, his production work, PT, No Man. Blackfield (who also have a new release but he has taken a back seat on this one) and his work with Opeth frontman. Something had to give I suppose. I think he is slightly constrained by PT by the "sound" the band has, while with his solo stuff he can bring guests in and do his early 70's prog noodli

To be fair people get old. As he said in interview it's 25 years old, most people can't do the same things they did 25 years ago (unless you're Rick Springfield or Eric Martin). Live in the studio with not many effects. I saw him at High Voltage a couple of years back and he wasn't much better with the old songs then. I think that's why a lot of the newer released have been slower more modern sou
