I like it.I picked it up when I was in Vegas for the Journey residency shows at the Hard Rock, and have listened to it numerous times since. With Steve Smith in tow for it's entirety, and Jan Hammer making a guest appearance,it is definitely going to have the fusion feel to it,but he also throws in his other influences, like Latin and Rock.Don't know if you have Spotify, but it is on there to check ou

Izzy has played with both GNR and Velvet Revolver over the years so I think he is probably on good terms with all.I agree though,Izzy

I would also have to add Deep Purple.Ian Gillan's voice may not be what it used to be,but imo, they have made solid albums with Steve Morse.Haven't heard one I didn't like.

One that comes to mind for me is Motley Crue's self titled album with John Corabi on vocals.Didn't like it much when it came out, mainly because it didn't sound like the Crue I knew and loved.Over the years it has grown on me,and I really have come to enjoy it,especially the tune Hooligan's Holiday.

I too was one of those naysayers in the very beginning.I remember shaking my head and thinking that Neal and Jon had lost their mind...trading a proven frontman like JSS for a "Filipino karaoke singer" that Neal found on YouTube.I've seen them 3 times with Arnel, the most recent being their Vegas residency a couple of months ago,and the guy just gets better and better. As much as I would

Actually,I don't think Felix is on this, but Punky and Barry Brandt are.Wasn't aware of Gregg's illness.I thought it had probably more to do with him being a successful Vegas businessman, and essentially retired from the music biz.

Also given his previous conviction,he probably had ZERO chance of being allowed across the border into Canada.I know a few Americans who have been turned away at the border for doing less.

Yeah,as much as I prefer Van Halen over Van Hagar,Eddie was waay out of line talking about Mikey like that.I still remember when DLR rejoined a few years back, and they had the nerve to try to remove all likenesses of Mikey from their website, including album covers. It didn't take long, due to serious fan backlash, that they relented and put him back where he belongs.
