Great review, agree with everything you said.Tyketto and Dan Reed Network ripped the place apart, stunning vocals from the V and JLT,and the Radio Sun made a lot of new fans and were great friendly guys. It's a shame the Hard Rock Hell brand doesn't get more love around these parts as they always seem to work really hard to put on top notch weekends and create a good atmosphere for the fans.

To answer the question why I didn't go probably mostly financial reasons,it's an expensive weekend and this year we had other things planned around the same time as we weren't expecting there to be a show.Don't worry I'm always happy to support live music,go to Sweden Rock every year, going to HRH AOR in March and Caught Tom Keifer in London on Thursday.Glad it went well as it did look like a crac

Been checking to see how the new festival has been going all weekend but haven't seen a thing posted.Went to every Firefest so feeling a bit left out being home all weekend.Hope it's going well and there was a good turnout in the end.

Really liking this too, the guitar playing is excellent, is it a new guy? Anybody else thinking the song Miss You borrows quite a bit from Floyd's Comfortably Numb?

Good album but surely after a five year break they could have come up with an extra 3 or 4 tracks to add to the record.

No,it's a cock up by Amazon with this month's Frontiers releases I think.Lynch Mob has disappeared from the site since I pre ordered it in June but got an email saying it was despatched today.

There was an interview quite recently in which Blackmore confirmed he had been discussing doing some shows with JLT but was probably going to choose a different singer for his short return to rock.He did say they were still friends.Thought this was quite interesting as when JLT mentioned this earlier in the year many called it bullshit.

Steve Stevens is one of my favourites, everyone knows he can play totally OTT and shred when he wants to be his solos always fit the song perfectly and are often pretty restrained.

Too be fair,he sounds okay on the clip, but I can't understand why his performance these days just seems to be doing the same silly dance steps over and over with that fixed grin on his face.Obviously he's older, but he seems in physically good shape so it must just be a creative decision that he's made.Just find it a bit odd.

And let's not forget he probably reads this forum or has friends that do,so a little respect wouldn't hurt. The like's of Roth,Coverdale or Vince Neil with their millions in the bank probably are less likely to see or care about what's written here.

Wasn't thinking huge over the top production, just some movement from the band or crowd interaction, perhaps like Black Stone Cherry?

Halford's voice is the best it's been since the Painkiller tour,I too saw them at Sweden Rock and it was one of the best gigs I've ever seen. It wasn't a one off either, all the reports say they are killing it every night.
