If mr Coverdale has any sense he will ask someone like Michael Lee Firkins ! Now that's a great guitar player and he can rip out the rocktunes and add some blues!

At Sweden Rock festival Blackie Lawless announced that W.A.S.P. will be releasing a new album in 2015 called Golgotha. Since W.A.S.P. released quite a few great metal albums, I'm looking forward to this one. They finetuned it for years, so it should be a classic. Just hoping that it will be released by a decent record company this time with good distribution.

Actually as much as I love most of Axel's albums, I do agree with the comment about Johnny. It's time Axel moved on to another singer. Now we are just getting the same (great I must admit) album over and over again. I'm voting for someone like Michael Matijevic to take over on vocals! :-)

Well we have Live...in the Raw, The Sting and Double Live Assassins. That's enough for live albums since mr Lawless is having almost the same setlist for years now. The Crimson Idol-thing did not yet happen, but remains in the closet. It could still see the light of day sometime. Right now Blackie is recovering from a broken leg and W.A.S.P. already have a new album in the can. Only it seems

Happy birthday to him....but where's the new album? Eversince breaking his leg, it's been really quiet about W.A.S.P. or Blackie.

I for one am really looking forward to this one. The first two Burning Rain albums were awesome and I'm thinking Epic Obsession will not disappoint me ! I have it on order, so now just waiting when (and if) it will be deliverd here. For some reason packages to Bulgaria where I'm now tend to get lost often. grrrrrrrrrrrrr

Long time since the Eonian label released anything. I always enjoyed their stuff, but am afraid now that this label is no more. There's no updates on new releases on their site, so.....has another cool label left us ? Anyone knows or have more news ?

I was pleasantly surprised by this album ! Not too much rockers but still not as much lullabies as on the latest Bon Jovi-disc, so that's good. Really loved the songs 'Hell To Pay' 'Uncommon Man' and the opening track 'A Simple Song'. The rest is just solid good ole fashioned Deep Purple tracks. ;-)

Always liked Slayer and have quite a bit of their albums. This is really sad news and my thoughts go out to his family and friends....The heavy metal community lost another huge talent.

Great to see W.A.S.P. is not too heavy for this board....As for the classic first album : yep true classic, but I prefer The Crimson Idol and The Headless Children of that one. They will for sure rock big time on the M3-festival. ;-)

Maybe a bit too heavy for this board, but I always enjoyed this band ! Forever Free is one of the finest (hard)rock ballads ever and their last release 'Babylon' had some really cool songs. However lately they only seem to have some festival dates booked....but still no new album? It's been 4 years since the last one. Anyone here know more about the future plans of Blackie & Co. ? I'm hoping

That's the great thing with taste, I suppose....there's a lot of different ones. I'm a big Whitesnake fan, but the last album left me a bit disappointed. To my ears the Voodoo Circle songs are more impressive. In the end : the melodic rock fans are winning here ! Two great bands with brilliant singers and good songs. ;-)

Thanks to the comments here, I purchased the new Voodoo Circle album a couple of days ago and wow I'm impressed. With Whitesnake being one of my alltime favourite bands, I just got 'More Than One Way Home' because people kept referring to it as sounding a lot like Whitesnake. And too right ! ! ! It sounds like Whitesnake and beats the last 'snake album in my opinion. Great stuff and I'll be liste

Just was listening to this in the car again today and to my ears it's still one of the best melodic albums ever. A classic in my book. One of those albums that you would take with you to a desert island even if you could take only 5 albums with you ! :-)

Well as much as I love Bon Jovi, I really think this is an album with a lot of lullabies. Honestly I was listening to it in the car to work and it made me wanna go to sleep again. Good songs, good band....and good album, if you want to listen to some really, really mellow rock/pop music. Not what I love to hear from Bon Jovi at all...

Yep it was re-released some years ago, but by the Retrospect Records label. So not sure if that's counting as an official reissue.

Just was listening to Michael Furlong's Use it or Lose it and wow I almost forgot just how good he singer this guy is. Especially on the Wild Dogs Album Reign of Terror he really shines....but what ever happened after this???? As far as I know he didn't record anything for ages now. Anyone with more information here ?

And what about Saxon, W.A.S.P. and Europe ? Saxon's last one is bloody magnificent, Europe's Bag of Bones very cool....and from what I'm hearing W.A.S.P. are releasing a new one this fall. Should be good !

Well mr Lawless should be putting the finishing touches to the new W.A.S.P. album. They already confirmed one headline date in the USA for the M3 festival on May 3rd. No further news, but I guess after finishing the album, Blackie will look around to find the right label for it. Last albums were always on smaller labels with not so good distribution...Anyway more news from the band soon, I hope.

Brrrrrrrrrrrr I saw them open for W.A.S.P. and they bored me to death. When they come on stage I was expecting them to be great, but all the songs sounded the same to me....Not for me thank you and Crimson Glory is ten times better than this band. And please feel not offended, it's just a question of taste. W.A.S.P. by the way kicked major ass !
