I agree mate it sounds great...I apologise if my post came across as sharp. Didn't mean it that way. Just thought you had heard an extra song from somewhere.

Saw them supporting Robin Beck....sorry but I thought they were very poor live. Like any number of pub rock bands out there but not as tight. They did do a cover of a Witness song though so kudos for that.

Kimberley Dahme was badly injured in a skiing accident earlier in the year...is she definitely part of the show do you know? She could barely walk only weeks ago.

Confusing post. Sometimes the Night? what are you on about there's no such song. Also the track order is the same as on her website from what I can see.

me too, it's a good album... Can't stand Indiscreet which is a total 'pink pastel suit jacket with slip on shoes and no socks' cringe fest.

I don't know why this particular band are taking so much flak. Sure it's nothing original but it's ok... a catchy enough tune. Definitely not the worst thing that comes out under the melodic rock genre banner. I wouldn't buy it personally but I'd probably nod my head along to it at a rock festival.

The Outfield and Richard Marx are AOR to me. Richard Marx, try the obvious 'Repeat Offender' and 'Rush Street' The Outfield I like 'Play Deep', 'Voices of Babylon' and 'Diamond Days'. I'm not a fan of Roxette so can't help there. West Coast is a style of music in itself originating obviously on the west coast of the USA. It is hard to explain exactly but it is more middle of the road

Kansas do it too. Steve Walsh doesn't do much of the between song chatter. Personally it doesn't bother me in the slightest. As for Toto, I like Steve Lukather's banter. But then I'm a fully paid up member of the 'Luke can do no wrong' club.

generally I love Jorn's stuff but he is definitely in a bit of a rut. The chorus on this is far too similar to one of his older ones...Young Forever I think.

If you follow Tommy on Facebook, he has mentioned it a few times since then. Still no real clues but of course it's not James Christian or Robin Beck. There's nothing in his words that would even suggest that. It will probably be a household name artist produced by someone like David Foster or Desmond Child.

Loved them back in the day. Listening back they're pretty solid but not quite up there with the greats. Worth a listen though...both 1st and 2nd albums.

Great band in the early days. The music continued to be good through the 80s but the overly political lyrics were a turn off for me.

That's great thanks!...Nile is a rhythm machine. I love this little excerpt from a Chic gig (no Bernard Edwards unfortunately RIP) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yxTNIi2g14

I love the Magica album. I don't care much for the concept story but musically it is one of my favourite Dio albums. Craig Goldy sounds amazing on it...almost Blackmoresque in places.

At the recent Steve Lukather gig I attended, a request went out that people only take photos/videos during the first 3 songs. This seems a reasonable solution to me.

Imaginos was my first BOC album. To this day I have no idea what it's about lyrically but I love the mysterious vibe it gives out. Musically it's superb and the production is amazing. "The Siege and Investiture of Baron von Frankenstein's Castle at Weisseria" is epic. I also prefer the Imaginos version of Astronomy over the original.

Luca he must have played a short set because of his flu. In Wolverhampton where I saw him, I'm sure he played at least 2 hours with lots of extended jams and 2 encores. I've seen him plenty of times but gotta say he is on fire right now.

Club Ninja Revolution By Night Mirrors they are the closest albums to AOR. There are melodic songs on most of their albums though so don't limit yourself to seeking out only the AOR stuff. Great band that get's better the more you acquire the taste for them....if that makes sense.

One thing that I noticed, the guitar sound on the GGG album is really weak. I hadn't really noticed before but on songs like Dancing on Glass (good song btw) it's really thin and puny.

Don't get me wrong I am not saying they are crap. I am actually a fan of sorts. My point is, they are almost a household name. Every casual music fan knows the name Motley Crue. I just think that their level of fame is disproportionate to what they have actually produced, musically speaking.

I'm not disputing their influence. But the New York Dolls and MC5 are also influential...just not very good.
