I adore everything Robert Downey, Jr., but he is absolutely PERFECT as Ironman! I can't imagine anyone else ever stepping into that role as well as he has. Can't wait to see it! :-D Debbie

Nah, I get what you're saying, Andy. Too much 'fret-wankery' starts to bore me, too. I get that they want to show off & all, but it gets old after a while for someone who is not a musician and probably unable to truly appreciate their prowess. I can appreciate that sort of thing to an extent, but I tire of it after a while. I find that I appreciate that sort of thing more if I'm watch

Present for over a decade now, but nobody pays attention to me anyway and, apparently, I haven't pissed anyone off either... Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing. :-\ Debbie

Yeah, same here. My husband needed a much bigger screen for our home PC, while he was working from home, so he bought the cheapest one that he could find, which of course didn't have speakers. Now, I can't use my home PC to view/listen to any new music, movie trailers, friends videos on FB, etc. :-( My work PC has speakers, but I can't use that to listen to stuff either. It's not like my sid

Jeff, everyone here knows damned well how annoyed I am that you practically never come to the NY/NJ area, but I'm not taking it personally at all. ;-) In the last 10+ years, I was able to see you perform a grand total of 3 times (to me, the guest spot in Scrap Metal in CT doesn't really count): Once in NYC with Soul SirkUS, and twice during your solo tour (at MR Fest 1, as well as in Buffalo,

Jani mentioned it in his 'That Metal Show' interview, which he did just before his death (the show hadn't gotten a chance to air before Jani died). Jani looked/sounded quite healthy and coherent at that time, as I recall his responses/stories to be very calm, focused, & genuine, rather than the erratic ravings of an addict. Unfortunately, these periods were getting fewer and farther between

Cherry Pie *was* atrocious, Laurent, and Jani made it quite clear during his interviews that he regretted ever writing that song. 'Uncle Tom's Cabin', as the album was *supposed* to be named, was finished, but their label asked Jani to write a "Love In the Elevator"-type song for it. Jani said he sat down, wrote CP in about 45 minutes, and sent it off to them. The next day he fin

Yes, it does look great! There's enough to keep me happy and to satisfy my curiosity on some others, while showing my support to those dear to me. Hope it goes extremely well this time, Andrew. All the best of luck! :-) Unfortunately, it's looking like I will be invited to a wedding on that same weekend. Even if I had the money to go to MRF 3, I couldn't even consider going and have to pu

Haven't been able to listen to this yet (new monitor doesn't have speakers), but I'm very hopeful. Eric & Asa, they're playing at the Wolf Den in Mohegan Sun on March 30th. Are either of you planning on going? I'm toying with the idea of bringing my son, as he missed seeing any version of Queensryche when they were supposed to open for The Scorpions last year. Debbie

It's also a case of apples and oranges... The Who are legendary, high-ticket-price commanding, back-catalog sustaining, arena-filling, rock & roll royalty and could have afforded to put their tour life on hold for months at the time (and to this day). Great White is far from that status (barely able to fill small clubs) and would not have been able to afford it. Hindsight is always 20-2

I agree with all the others who said that the band probably didn't have enough time to evaluate the safety of the building, nor do I think that it really was their job to do so. As many have said, most of the time, bands don't see the stage until they start their show. Out of the tons of shows that I've seen in my life, most bands either come out to a completely dark stage or to blinding stage

Even though this topic has been given far more attention than it deserved, here I am... In my view, the fault should lie squarely with the club owners for not having a sprinkler system installed when the 'restaurant' was converted to a 'nightclub', then installing highly flamable packing material as sound proofing material and then allowing (not discouraging) pyrotechnics to occur. From what

They, Kip, and Matthew Nelson were behind a long table, so they motioned for her to come behind the table to pose with them. Security wouldn't allow it and were basically being Nazi's by shooin

Tall People: OMG, Chris, this happens to me to this day and I'm about 5'6"! Over the past couple of decades, it seemed that there was this same skyscraper of a guy at every show that I went to, standing front & center, with his arms up, pumping in the air, singing every word to every song for every band, while constantly turning around to see who was watching him. What was more a
