Here's his statement regarding the cancellation: “There are some things, especially family, that must take precedence over everything. I am crushed to not be coming, because the fans in the UK and Scotland have been supportive of our music, rocking so hard with us on our previous trips over, especially both C2C festivals. We have a family medical situation that has to be dealt with immediat

Oops, just realised I called him Bramtley...ha!! Pissed off as I was looking forward to this but like you say Mick, if they can't be bothered then why should we. I'll reserve judgment though until I read or hear a proper explanation. Chris

Roxette have announced that they are to stop touring for good after vocalist Marie Fredrikkson was advised by doctors to stop due to her ailing health. This is immediate and the dates for their 30th anniversary tour have been pulled. Here's a statement from the band: In a statement Marie said, ”It’s been an amazing 30 years! I feel nothing but joy and happiness when I look back on the Rox

Love that Injectors album and the Diesel one that followed. Saw JD & The Injectors supporting the Jeff Healey Band in the late 80's and then Diesel (for nowt) in Melbourne (when I was out there) in '95...would love to see them/him again. Chris

Nice to see there is a fellow Widespread Panic fan on here. Street Dogs is quite superb, there best since "Don't Tell the Band" for me. Jimmy Herring's guitar playing is pretty damn excellent. Chris

For me their best since "South Of Heaven". This albums is truly a return to form and personally, I think the addition of Exodus' Gary Holt is just what they needed. I know he didn't have a lot of input on this record but what he did contribute is excellent. Listen to that opening riff of the title track, pure Exodus. Always been a fan from the very early days but I had started to

Hello, i'm up in Scotland in February and it coincides with Thunder's gig at the Clyde Auditorium but I have no idea what this venue is like for gigs? I have heard that it's a pig for rock gigs and that the sound is awful there...true or false? Are the stalls on one level or does the floor slope? Thanks in advance for any help. Cheers, Chris

I've been a Warren fan since the late 80's and have to say that this is the weakest record he has released to date. This is my personal opinion of course. It just bores the pants off me and i've heard far better albums by more established bands of this kind of genre. I do like "Coal Tattoo", easily teh satnd out track for me. I really liked Man In Motion but feel that his Mule stuff

This is from several years ago and she got better and better and hotter and hotter!! She is superb in concert but sadly we don't get to see her enough over here in the UK. Unfortunately, what i've heard of her new upcoming "solo" album is dancey-pop fodder!! I hope she gets back with the Nocturnals and gets to work on a "band" album again soon? Still, she is one of the

My all-time favourite guitarist. As well as his solo and Mule work, try the Allman Brothers Band albums he played on and also the Phil Lesh & Friends album...all excellent stuff. Chris

Agree with you all, stunning stuff and yes, for me too, the best i've ever seen them. How bloody great and crystal clear was the sound? Just goes to show that bands who have a poor sound at a venue like the Apollo, just aren't trying hard enough. I could have watched another two hours+...easily...:) Chris

Couldn't agree more, she was superb in Liverpool last Sunday. I'd say the best i've seen her to date, what a voice this lady has, seems to get stronger every time I see her. One thing I did notice though, well in Liverpool anyway, the audience was older this time around, many more middle aged and above than previous times. Nowt wrong with that of course, being middle aged myself but where ha
