Anyone want to buy a stalls seat for the sold out Palladium Show on the 18th of Feb?....as much as I love the band and have seen them live 25 times or so, I really don't think I could get through all of this album in one sitting. PM me if anyone is interested.Thanks.

Well said Jay, if everyone liked the same stuff we'd never get gig tickets for a start! :). I've really liked all Serenity's past releases but the new one (admittedly after only 2 spins) doesn't grab me like their past efforts have done.

Anyone else heard or got the latest release from Rhapsody Of Fire? I've dipped in and out of their stuff for many years now and have never really been a big fan BUT this new album is simply brilliant. It WILL be in my top 10 come the end of the year for sure, give it a listen if you get the chance. Was a very pleasant surprise after the disappointment (for me) of the new Dream Theater and Serenit

Have to agree with several others in here. Have been a very long time fan of DT (since 1989) and have seen them live 25+ times and every album they have released I have been able to make my mind up on within 2 or 3 spins of it. Virtually every one I have loved (apart from Systematic Chaos and the weak DT12) but I really am sitting on the fence with this one at the moment. I thought upon initial l

Agree totally with that. Have only heard it once so far, but for me its the best and most consistent release he's had since "The Masquerade Ball" Early contender for a Top 10 list for 2016.

I agree with you adolfo 100%. His stuff bores me to death, apart from the VERY odd song or two from PT. Just don't get it at all!!

As far as I can recall it was connected with something to do with some fancy equipment or technology that is used in recording studios and the band thought it would be a good "in joke" to add the "e" to the album name.

Always "appreciated" them back in the day but was never a fan. However, i really enjoyed the documentary and learnt a lot about them.

Uhmmmm......................I found the first third quite poor but then it went to a good middle part (can already see the choirs in the Palladium!!) and then had an excellent instrumental work out ending :) - PROMISING :)

I agree Carl but come on, this whole thing at the moment is pretty damn cringeworthy! As Paul Ryan says, we need some sound clips released to give us some idea of what is going on here. It COULD be an absolute masterpiece or it COULD be a complete disaster!!

Career long huge DT fan here who is really looking forward to the new record (especially after their dreadful, career low (for me) last release) BUT I must admit, these emails really are cringeworthy and do nothing to enhance my excitement for the release at all!

The new Vanden Plas is immense (just like pt 1). Brilliant playing, lyrics, production and atmosphere, definitely in my top 5 releases of 2015.

That's great news and I'm so pleased its a dedicated show and not part of a Festival. Will be getting my ticket on Friday :) Thought the "linked" parady song was tedious and childish though, sorry.

Their last record was released in 2013 but was "self titled" and is known generally amongst fans as "DT12" and after 25 years of worshipping the band, it has dented my love for them like no other release of theirs ever has! To this day, I have probably only listened to the whole record 7 or 8 times...I don't mind listening to the odd track in isolation but just can't stomach t

Been my favourite band since back in 1989 when I first heard them and I have seen them live many, many times, but just recently my love for them has been waning a little. SO, I really REALLY hope that the "teasers" are a sign that the band are about to release something really special again. Whatever it is though, it surely MUST be better than that dreadful last release, "DT 12"

I agree that VP are an amazing band and I can't wait until their new record is out. It's such a shame that they are virtually unknown in the UK and as such, very rarely tour here :(

Shouldn't be a "support" to any band, that's why I said I hoped that it will be a dedicated headline show rather than a festival appearance. Having said that, I DO agree with you and I fear that it will be at Download that he plays :(

Hopefully there will be at least one UK date and I reckon it will be the last ever opportunity to see Ritchie play these classic songs, so it will be a must for me wherever it is. Hope its a headlining show somewhere rather than a "festival" though.

Great band, would love to see them play live again (saw them many, MANY years ago when they supported DT) but they so rarely play in the UK :(

Sounds very impressive and no doubt he has an amazing voice, just a shame that its been VERY compressed and "enhanced". Would have been nice to hear his "naked" voice without all the tech but I still think he would have nailed it though, as the talent is definitely there.

Sadly they only perform live very rarely but they are well worth checking out if you ever get the chance, Mitchell has so much class and makes it all look so easy when he plays.

Judging by the latest songs we've heard, it looks like the first two songs that were released from this album are the only two half decent songs on it!!

Yes, but Blackmore CAN still play guitar as good as ever whereas sadly Coverdale CAN'T sing anywhere near as good anymore!!
