Uhmm, I'm a fan of Evergrey and admittedly have only heard it once so far, but I can't get the excitement out of it that others are doing. It's pretty good but not a patch on the new Threshold CD i.m.o.

Sadly Terry, even though this is a good release, I.M.O. its not a patch on "Blood of Nations" which was a simply wonderful comeback release.

Probably understandably has become too embarrassed having to listen to the catlike screeching sounds coming from the er..."singer"(sic), each live gig they play! Doug won't be short of new offers, I'm sure

All the drugged up liberal trendys who attend and think that shite like the Arctic Monkeys and Mumford and Sons are ROCK, are going to be in for a bit of a shock when Metallica strike up!! :)

Spot on totobob. Going to take one heck of a brilliant release to beat Vanden Plas as the best album of the year i.m.o.

I'm sure they will be as "good" as before and the "show" will be impressive too (I'm seeing them at Wembley) but, and I know that they have a new album to promote, they are playing 9 songs from that album most nights, which is too many for me as I feel the new album is not a patch on their last 2 releases. So even though it will be good, for me personally I don't expect the ov

Don't hold your breath Andrew waiting for a reply!!.... Whilst undoubtedly, a talented session player, he very often comes across as arrogant and touchy if anyone dare ever even question the quality of something he's been involved with. Won't be missed in here by me and good riddance to him if he wants to act like a spoiled child but I will still look forward to hearing some of the projects he'

Don't really like it I'm afraid, very lightweight and uninspiring to my ears, although I'm glad so many others seem to really like it.

You're right Cain, its needs 3 spins at least before it really clicks. I don't think there's any real stand out tracks on it (I think their last release had 2 or 3 really good and better songs on it) BUT there's just something "magic" there that makes all the songs fit together perfectly and combine to make a truly excellent album. I think its a case of the "whole being worth mo

You are spot on there. Simply majestic and it gets better with repeated listens too. Think its the best they've done since their first couple of releases back in the 90's. The production is MASSIVE. Its criminal that this band aren't much much bigger :(

Big fan of WT since their beginning BUT "Hydra" is nowhere near as strong as "The Unforgiving" and a bit of a disappointment to me. Having said that I really don't think they will ever top "The Unforgiving" in their career and it IS still a good album but there are 2 or 3 pretty weak songs on there and that horrendous duet with that rapper, really sounds horrid! Was an essential part of my love for all things Heavy and Melodic, rock wise. Never used to miss a show and used to love the live concerts they used to broadcast sometimes too. Introduced me to my beloved Dream Theater, back in 89 and many many more. TV and Tony Wilson, thank you so much for all the memories and influences.

WOW!!....what a lot of fuss and over hype over a "pop" song. Yes, its quite "pleasant" but to think off all the big build up and self promotion over this we have had!!......what a huge let down.
