Love Thunder Alley. Also try Scenes From The Goldmine. Cheesy but a lot of AOR.

Agreed on the solo stuff. Honore et Amore was a top 5 cd of last year. Brilliant stuff.

I missed the last thread and I'm a broken record on this subject over the years, but my favorite listening experience of all time is the Dolby 5.1 surround disc version of Toy Matinee. I listen through my surrounds system on my PlayStation 3 and it never ceases to amaze"

The new single One Love is excellent. It's on Spotify. The band says that the new album will focus on being more emotional and less tongue in cheek.

I'll say that I generally agree that production doesn't matter as much as the quality of the songwriting and musicianship. But I will say, that when you hear a production that just blows you away (like the Toy Matinee DTS version of that cd), it lends a whole different level of appreciation to the cd as a whole.

This is a really cool video of a 16 year old girl who rips it up on the drums. She is solid in the beginning but it's worth watching until the end. It gets really impressive as the video goes on. http://laughingsquid.com/16-year-old-japanese-phenom-senri-kawaguchi-performs-a-series-of-impressive-drumming-feats/

For me, this has happened with some of my all time favorites: I listen to an album a couple times, then put it away for a week and, when I put it on that next time, it just clicks and it sounds like something completely new and different.

I just love that drum sound at the beginning of I Will Remember. Might be my favorite drum sound in any song. Each drum sounds so clear and full. One of my all time favorite songs as well.

Thanks for the advice Laurent. Looks like you want to be on Peter's bad side as well with that ManU support. Good to see you on here. Where do you call home these days? UAE? Looks like a very interesting place to live. Hope all is well.

I did watch the Crytal Palace and Tottenham match today. To my pedestrian eyes, they seemed to hold their own today. Looks like a pretty good fan base toomfor a team that hasn't been in the top flight for years.

It's nice that NBC in the States streams every game online, so I have the chance to pick and choose who to watch. Thanks for the feedback.

Peter, Wow, the pressure is on, my friend. I can't promise anything, lol. I will consider this if I swear allegiance to any one club. I have to admit that, in my limited exposure from only last year, Theo Walcott was one of my favorites.

Thanks Andy and everybody. I posted here on the musicboard because I've seen many posts here over the years on football and know the passion behind the sport. I have begun to look up the history of teams just out of curiosity. Based on last year, I enjoyed the play of Arsenal and Chrlsea, but it was skewed because of the number of times they were shown. I love to see the passion and hatred of

Peter, You and I always end up liking the same shows, even the crappy guilty pleasures like this one. I got hooked on it too. The music is great on there. Check out Facebook today. Brandy just put up pictures of Kristin's wedding. She got married on Friday! It was a beautiful day and a lot of fun.

I stated watching last year because of the FSN HD soccer channel on the dish and now NBC, one of the big 4 networks in the USA, has the TV rights. I admit that I now find myself following and watching football and really enjoying it. I'm still learning the subtleties of play but I pick up more all the time. Now I wonder if I'll pick one team to be a Fan of or just a fan of the play. It's hard

Been to Alpine valley many times over the years. Highlight meeting Lars and Cliff Burton after the Metallica/Ozzy show on Master of Puppets tour. Lowlight would be Stevie Ray Vaughn's death after crashing into the mountain right after leaving his performance at Alpine Valley.

Catching up on Californication on Showtime and heard this cover from the Alt-Country artist Ryan Adams. Thought it was cool. I love a good cover that is so far from the original. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=1iBe53ruE1g&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D1iBe53ruE1g

Andrew, Just got back from dinner in Arlington Heights with my wife. The small downtown area there has plenty of good restaurants and bars. I have no excuse to miss this one. I was out of town for the last one. I look forward to seeing you, Andrew! You're welcome to stay at the Krupa house! The pool will be open!
