I have now tried MP3 and bingo - it works ! A bit disappointed that WMA would not work as I have upgraded the speakers to the Dynaudio set up - will try WMA again but not holding out much hope. I suspect MP3 is a little too compressed to derive max benefit from the Dynaudio but at least I have got it to work. Thanks again, Daredevil.

I recently took delivery of a new VW CC (used to be called a Passat CC) and am very keen to use the SD facility for music playback on its stereo (RNS 315). I have great plans to put all my box sets (and digipacks) on this rather than carrying these around in the car all the time. I am using a Fuji SDHC 32GB card and as a trial put one album on this ripped to WMA lossless - and although the

Did Sunday in Glasgow and both Hammersmiths - magic, magic nights- have followed the Quo since 1980 and this was my first chance to see the Frantic Four and I loved every second. The second coming indeed!

As you can tell from my name, I am a long time fan. Never thought I would get to see the Frantic Four (and I have followed then since 1982). Was at the Sunday show in Glasgow - amazing stuff with some great tracks to be heard inc. O Baby, April Spring etc... Still yearn for a full 23 min version of 4500x - but came away very satisfied. Quoo-ooo-ooo-ooo-ooohhh !!!

Went to see the UK tribute band 'Stated Quo' on Sat. night in London. JC drummed with them for about 1 hour at the start - they did some Quo numbers and some interesting covers (Led Zep, Shadows, Beatles CCR etc.) JC remains a damned good drummer !!

Yes indeed - I was always impressed that they (AC/DC) were not available on iTunes. What happened to the 'we don't want users downloading individual tracks' line? Also I struggle to think who would want to buy AC/DC stuff on iTunes - surely everyone who wanted it would have the CDs by now (bar perhaps the new 'Live at River Plate album')

These are the ones I target as well. Particularly MVE in Notting Hill - they have by far the biggest selection. Sadly the number of 2nd hand shops in London has dwindled in the last few years - I make a long weekend trip once a year specifically to buy used music in London. My first was in 1992 (I think) - then I had a least 15 shops to choose from (that was only central London also)

In a few weeks I will be on vacation in the US - on a road trip from NEw Orleans to New jersey. On the way we will pass very close to MComb, Mississippi - which is where the Skynyrd plane went down in 1977. Does anyone know if the actual site is marked in any way - is it easy to find ? I read that it was in a swamp area - so may be inaccessible. Any info welcome.

I once needed to replace an odd case for an Abba CD and DVD set. I could not find it anywhere online but ended up buying a cheap Feeder CD/DVD set and swapping them over - simples! If I were you I'd keep a look out on E-bay for someone selling a cheap Dual disc! - something like this perhaps ??? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pink-Im-not-dead-Dual-disc-CD-DVD-/260998905415?pt=UK_CDsDVDs_CDs_CDs

To further clarify - I was charged 3.21 for VAT - this is applied to the cost of the goods only - (i.e excluding postage) as far as I am aware. The Import duty and Excise duty were both zero. I have already complained strongly but will do so again. Thanks for the feedback so far !

I will try to keep this short... I live in the UK and recently I ordered a t-shirt from a US site (full price was 24.95 USD reduced to 19.95 USD on a special offer. I paid 29.95 total (incl. 10 USD postage). This was below the 15GBP threshold that can be imported into the UK without being hit with any additional VAT charges etc. I was annoyed to find that the customs declaration on the

Saw them in the MEN, Manchester last year. Had been a fan for a couple of years - their live show was jaw-dropping !!! Part concert, part circus, part freak show - (and that was just the audience) - absolutely superb - if they can top that show it will be worth seeing. Hoping to see them in Feb when they hit the UK ! Studied German at school (30 years ago) - so understand the odd word of th

Andy - thanks for the info - I have been making this trip for the last 15 years or so - and yes the trend is depressing !! Now reduced to a handful of shops - it used to be worth making the trip for Berwick St. alone ! Thanks for confirming re Zodiac - I have asked the question before but never got a definitive answer - picked up some good stuff there at unbelievable prices in the past. If

Will be in London next weekend and was wondering if anyone has recommendations on used CD / LP shops that I should visit. I already know about the Music & Video Exchange chain and Reckless in Berwick St - but are there any others ? My tastes are fairly broad but mainly rock (most varieties). Any info welcome. Does know if Zodiac in Wandsworth (which used to only open on Saturdays)

Saw a great car registration plate yesterday (I live in the UK where the composition of reg plates follow strict patterns/guidelines):- RU54 YYZ The '54' was modified slightly to be 'SH'. So not only does he have his favourite band on his plate but also one of their songs !! Being a bit an*l about reg. plates I thought this was pretty cool !!

I read this with interest - my take on this from a UK point of view is as follows... The threshold for importing CD/DVDs into the UK from outside the EU is indeed 18 GBP - which is pretty low if you ask me. Above that you are liable to pay VAT and import duty (which I believe is then charged on the total value of the order and not just the portion that is over the 18 GBP - go figure !!). And as
