IQ have always been a great band. Pretty much classic prog tho. What about the neu prog bands like Amplifier and the now defunct Oceansize?

Really good Tom. Wasn't the drummer in Anberlin only 16 when they made their debut album?

Must be just me then, because much as I've been a TEN fan from the very beginning, this just sounds more of the same to me. In fact I prefer some songs from the previous two albums. I can even hear that criticism that some make of Gary staying to much in his vocal comfort zone. And I usually defend him over that. On the other hand I'm hugely impressed by In Faith.

Myles seems to work better with Slash than Tremonti! Really very, very good. Amazing bill with California Breed on this tour.

Seen it too many times to recount. But two times come to mind: Bon Jovi supporting Lee Aaron at Liverpool Empire in 1985. And Tesla supporting Def Leppard at Manchester Apollo on the Hysteria tour.

Incredible band. Took the blueprint left by Zeppelin and turned it inside out, then tore it up and recycled it! New album before the end of the year. Check out the ' Transmission' and 'Triptych' albums.

A 'must buy'for me. But as Jeff stated, expected to sell about as many copies as replies to this thread. Sad but true. Quality over quantity though eh, Jeff? :0)

Had good hair but always sang a little off key. Then again, he was closer to the right notes than Jess Cox ever was! Lol

Dissapointed with 'Simplicity'. The same way I am with 'High Road' and 'Better Days comin'. Best album this year is the new ANUBIS GATE album ''Horizons'. Head and shoulders above everything else in quality of songwriting, production, playing etc. The thing I don't get about Tesla is, what the hell happened since 'Into the now'? That was awesome. Brilliant songs, perfect mix. So what the hell

Chris, 'Black Cat' was the first song that came to mind when I saw this thread. Nothing wrong with the original version, with Jesse Johnson supplying the guitars.

Rob is just doing what any singer who is struggling to do what he did when he was 20 does. Sing in a lower register. Makes sense to me. The singer who stands out by NOT having to do this is Glenn Hughes, who continues to amaze with every new record and tour. As for Priest, I'm in the minority, because I though 'Nostradamus' was their finest album. The last 25 years of their carreer all moulded

Horses for courses of course Carl, but IMO the quality of the Anubis Gate album is leagues ahead of the Winger album. And it kinda saddens me to say that.

Ah well, I said Winger wouldn't get much time. Got home to find the new ANUBIS GATE album 'Horizons' thru my letterbox. Just played first track 'Destined to Remember' and 'Better Days' have come sooner than expected. MONSTER SONG! The Winger album is already a distant memory.
