Love Renegade and Life is Beautiful but finding a lot of the songs to simplistic and cliched. JT has a great voice and the band play well. Great live band too. Just needs a bit more creativity in the songwriting dept.

'scenes From a Memory', Aersosmith's 'nine lives' and 'Trial by fire' all sund anazing. I thnk he rules! Maybe he gives the artists what they want. Rick Rubin however, is dreadful.

I've always valued Tommy's insight and appreciated him taking the time to post on this board. I'll miss him on here. Seems all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.

I tend to believe Steinman's take on this over Leppards. But if you wonder ehat a Leppard album would have sounded like with JS producing, just listen to Lillian Axe ' Love and War', coz that's the sound, right there.

Great band, Monster Truck. But fans of them really should check out BLOOD OF THE SUN. Same kind of 79's vibe but with the addition of hammond organ. Start with their 'Hell Ride' album, featuring formrr Ted Nugent singer Derek St. Holmes as guest lead vocalist

One for my list. The last 3 albums have been awesome and their singer/writer/producer on 'The Detached' would be the ideal replacement for Dream Theater's weak link...James Labrie.

Apologies if abd but... http://youtu.be/Xa7RabbuOTA Last chance to see this amazing band live in 2014. One of the best young bands of recent years, with a depth and range to their songwriting that puts many other 'name' artists to shame. And a band that played the best gig I saw in 2013. One last hurrah...

I would have much preferred Robert Rodriguez to make a stand alone Batman movie in a 'Sin City' style, with all the style and ultra violence of that movie. Take a classic Batman storyline and run it like Sin City.

Personally, I've always considered Sharon Osbourne to be more of a 'Svengali' figure, than someone with any insight on music. Which is why I find her being a judge oin the X factor extremely annoying. That said, I have the same opinion about Simon Cowell too. Don't think he's particularly visionary about music. I'll have to track down this Bob Daisley book. He was on so many albums I bought at

Dave, it was myself and my girlfriend that met you in the pub before the gig! We were very nearely in the same situation. What I couldn't mention in the pub (because I haven't told the g/f) is that I bought circle tickets for the gig about an hour before she 'surprised me' by ringing to say that she had got tickets too! I offered them on here, but missed the e mail from the one person that wanted

Nathan was a singer on the 'Superstar' programme that Andrew Lloyd Webber used to find a new singer to star in the remake of Jesus Christ Superstar. He was pretty awesome on the programme and seemed the logical winner from the outset, but....got voted out! Since then, our Sue (Ashcroft) has helped him out making some connections and...he's now part of TSO. He's an incredible talent. One of the

Equal parts musical theatre and rock spectacular. Echoing the postings of those above, truly excellent. And how much was JSS loving playing the devil? The choice of Savatage songs was awesome. Loved Nathan's 'Gutter Ballet' and Chris Caffrey was the guitar playing revelation for me, as I never got to see Savatage play live. Just wish we could have had the whole of 'Mountain King' and not just 'pe
