A school friend of mine made me a mix tape of Motley Crue's "Shout At The Devil", there was extra space on the tape so he used fill songs. One of those songs was "Queen Of The Ryche", and I loved it!

in Cape Town, go to Canal Walk, it's the largest shopping mall in all of Africa. I was in the music store there, and it's massive. The largest I have seen in years. And it's music....not an all purpose store. I think the term "music" is in the title of the store, "music land" or something like that. You'll know it when you see it....lots of vinyl and cd's. I even found H

I have access to radio playlists across North America as part of my job, and I can say Let's Go is on the radio, but not very much. In Canada, the last two weeks, the song has spun a total of 11 times. London, Ontario 4 Halifax, Nova Scotia 1 Kamloops, BC (my city) 3 St. Catherines, Ontario 1 Winnipeg, Manitoba 1 Kelowna, BC 1 In the USA a few stations have it on heavy rotatio

Pop 101 was a marginal hit in Canada, and very glad to hear Here's To The Zero's is not on the album. That's the first tune of theirs that I had no desire to ever hear again :) Defintely looking forward to the album though, love them.

Has there been much chatter of these guys in here? I admit my work is so busy I can't get to this forum as much as I used to. I was introduced to them by my buddy last weekend after he read a tweet from Classic Rock Magazine that said "if you get one rock album this year, get The Biters". I got the album, and haven't stopped listening to it. Good old time classic riff rock. Definit

Static In The Stars, these guys worked with Paul Laine and placed Top 3 in the annual Vancouver Fox Seeds Battle Of The Bands. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nf_EOb6GpRA Speaking of Paul Laine, many here loved his country album Dark Horse. Here's more Canadian rockers who got together to put together a Country Rock Album. They are currently exploding on Canadian Country Radio. The Drumm

I heard the song that was on the homepage and liked it, then I came here and saw this thread and thought "Oh, they must have put two songs on Youtube and the other one sucks", I finally checked the link in the first post and it was the same song on the home page. So, I guess I'm guilty of liking it too :)

I'm the music director at my radio station, and the new Mariana's Trench single arrived this week, but I was so slammed busy at work that I haven't given it a listen yet. I thought the two singles from earlier this year were weaker than their Masterpiece Theatre and Ever After singles. I met them years ago when they came through the station, real nice guys. They were on tour with an artist n

Rob you're lucky, I got mine at the Kamloops Wal Mart yesterday and no jewel case. Just a very cheap almost paper cover! Also bought the New Buckcherry and Carly Rae Jepsen. And sadly of the three, the album I was most interested listening to was the Carly Rae Jepsen cd. I must be getting old :(

Funny you should mention Lee Aaron, she's performing this weekend at a rock festival in Grand Forks, BC. My friend is there, sent me a picture of her and Lee Aaron together, and Lee looked just a hot as she did in the 80's!

Thank you for posting your link, those were the type of responses I thought I might get. I like Simple Plan, it's been 3-4 years since their last album, I was hoping they'd come back with something big.

Not sure if I am late to the party on this, I haven't been able to get to the message board a lot lately, but just noticed a new Simple Plan song that they posted June 21st. Like a lot of Simple Plan music I am torn, because it's obvious these guys can write really good songs, but I feel like a bunch of 10 year olds are singing to me. It's definitely catchy....but.... https://www.youtube.com

They're my favorite discovery of the last three years, and they got better with each record. Their Wikipedia page has a 2015 TBA for their 4th album. Can't wait!

Looks good! I bought my ticket....then got to work and was told "What....you bought a ticket???? We know the promoter, we could have gotten you one for free". Sigh.

Has anyone seen them lately? Tickets aren't cheap, just wondering if it's worth it. They were great in the early 90's, saw them twice, just wondering how they are now live?

I met these fellows last week when they came through my radio station on a press tour. All members in the band are from a rock background, the most established is the drummer Doug Oliver who is also the drummer for "My Darkest Days". This first single for them is the fastest climbing Country song on the Canadian Charts the last two weeks. I wanted to post this last week, but they did

It's funny you mention this, after seeing Airbourne just a week ago in a small venue, I turned to my buddy and said "Any big band taking Airbourne on the road with them are in big trouble".

Lol, actually he did. Came out into the crowd and played his guitar solo in the middle of the mosh pit, then climbed up on the bar quite aways from the stage, and continued the solo.

They are playing a tiny club in my city, not sure why they aren't playing a bigger venue. It's going to be loud, and fun. They are with Glorious Sons & Flash Lightnin'. Anyone know those bands?
