"but it sounds like a band that is not really sure who it is yet and is mostly copying the popular sounds of the day. The production doesn't help either." BINGO! Bang on! My thoughts exactly. Some great songs, but production nowhere near Mood Swings. Mood Swings exploding from the speakers is 100% correct.

quickly climbed to Top #5 on the Canadian Radio rock charts. I posted the soundcloud link over a month ago, the video just came out last week. Definitely sticks in your head! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsI-thqW5Ks

Feel It Again and What Does It Take from "The Big Prize" are still regular staples on Canadian Classic Hits radio, so the album did have some success and does live on. But I agree, it should have been multiple platinum selling.

Icon - Night Of The Crime and King Kobra's Thrill Of A Lifetime were two of my Top albums of 1986! (I think Icon was released in 85 but I didn't discover it till summer of 86). Great call on those, very much agree.

Don that's the first thing that stood out for me, was how good the singer was.

I was just introduced to them by a co-worker, and I'm shocked to know they've been around 13 years now. A Canadian band that I have never heard of, shocking cause I work in Canadian radio (my excuse is that I don't work in rock radio). They've opened for Def Leppard and Judas Priest (quick look on Wikipedia told me that), so I'm guessing many people here know them. Been listening to their 20

I may be crucified for this as the guy is a legend, but he came to my city a few years back and both my date and I were bored to tears and left about halfway through. He never acknowledged or looked at the crowd once, he sat at his piano and played to his band. It was as if 5,000 people were watching his rehearsal and he didn't know we were there. I like to be entertained as well as listen to

Funny you should ask, the meeting happened during my air shift, so I recorded the hour. By the time the agenda got to the music part, I had to get back to the studio for my airshift. I did though earlier in the meeting mention that we need to play more songs from our core artists, I did use the Bon Jovi example and did give results from this survey, how the three big songs "Livin' On A Pra

Funny you mention that Akman, because those five your station plays is the same five we play, but we also have Bad Medicine in limited rotation as well. I once snuck In And Out Of Love into my request lunch hour and it felt bloody great!

Hey Guys, as some of you know I'm a radio broadcaster and music director for a radio station in British Columbia, Canada. Tomorrow we are having a music meeting and one of the subjects will be to freshen our music. We are a Classic Hits format with a heavy slant towards 80's, then 70's and 90's. Only about 15% of our music is from the 2000's. One of the things I'm going to bring up tomorrow

My copy just arrived in the mail today, I just put it in and am on song #2. Just curious what peoples early thoughts are on the album? I will scroll through the rest of the message board to see if people are chatting about it, haven't been here in about a week.

My most listened to Bon Jovi 2000's album. I expected it to be shite, cause like others, haven't really liked their 2000's output with the exception of Have A Nice Day. I put it right up there with Have A Nice Day. Two months later I'm still listening to it. I have the 15 song version with the three bonus tracks, and if they took the weakest 3-4 songs off the record, it would be a very solid

Breaks my heart to say it cause Gotthard is one of my Top #5 bands, but I agree on the weak chorus. Thought it sounded great to start and was waiting for a big chorus, and then the song just died.

An update from my post earlier, Airbourne singer Joel O'Keeffe fell off the stage during their performance in Kamloops, B.C., on Thursday night. He tore ligaments, and unconfirmed reports say he broke his leg. The show must go on, and the next night he was performing in Calgary in a cast. Here is my IPhone shot footage of the fall https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRfInrLG3Ts Unfortunate

I'm enjoying it too, I didn't think it was possible but to me, this is even more AC/DC sounding than their previous stuff. I like it just the same though. "Down On You" is a Top 5 Airbourne song for me already.
