Rob, I hear the Dallas Smith singles a lot. The songs are good, but not enough to make me actually go buy the record. He performed our radio stations Summer Thunder event last August so I got to meet him. Very nice and down to Earth guy. Same for Paul, such a polite guy in his emails.

Paul Laine and Dark Horse stopped by my radio station last month for an interview to talk about the single and the album. And....I didn't know till after he left!!! (the studio is on the first floor, my desk is on the second floor). I was so pissed! I had been telling everyone at work about Dark Horse, sent the link of their video out. Yet, they come and go from the station, and no one told me

Also, wasn't their old bass player the chief song writer in the band? Donnie Purnell? Is that right? With him gone, I wonder what this will sound like?

I was the one who conducted the KISS poll a couple of weeks ago, and I noticed quite a few HITS songs getting votes. My memory of HITS was what others are saying here, a few good tunes, and tonnes of filler. 15 songs was way too many, if they had bumped the five worst, it could have been a decent 10 song album. That said, as a result of my poll, I went back to listen to the other Kiss albums

Andrew, this is something I have been curious about for awhile. When you do a review, is it possible to add a feature where users can also add a score? I don't mean where we can write our own reviews and place our own 85% or whatever because we have seen that, but an actual 1 - 10 poll, where users can place their own score, that the site somehow averages into a "user rating". Thanks for your reply, it has been fun to see the results and get peoples opinions. I still have to add Purple's list to the final tally, but you're right, there are some definite trends forming, and some are surprising. Though I have always loved "Unmasked", it was always considered by the band one of their weaker efforts, despite the fact every Kiss fan I know really loves the recor

With them being in the news a lot recently, a week ago I asked users to list their top 10 KISS songs and studio albums. I would assign point values of 12-10-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 based on each users list. There were a total of 15 replies Results: Top songs (final point total) 1. Lick It Up 33 2. Deuce 30 3. I Stole Your Love 29 4. Tonight You Belong To Me 28 5. Detroit Rock City 28 6. L

I was planning on posting this thread before I saw the thread on Kiss just below. Classic Rock Magazine recently did a poll asking Kiss fans their favorite Kiss tracks and the magazine has posted songs 11 - 40 already with the Top 10 to be posted tomorrow. It got me thinking what the users here felt of Kiss. So, I figured I'd do a poll. Please list your 10 favorite Kiss songs, and 10 favorit

That's an understandable impulse buy, even if the music sucked, the album cover alone was worth it. That was a big album for me as I was introduced to them on the previous album but "Love And War" was light years better. I remember around the year 2000, I found about 5 "Love And War" cassettes in a discount bin for 99 cents, and I grabbed them all!!

That Wildside Album had "Looks Like Love"....which I thought was excellent. Monkey See Monkey Do (I think that's what it's called...haven't pulled out the cd in 20 years)....I think was okay as well.

Found something interesting that I thought was worth sharing: I was just studying the Country music radio charts for all U.S. Country stations this morning and found some odd artists showing up. These are based on total spins, from January 1st - September 8th, 2013 Of course the usual Country suspects are at the top: 1. Kenny Chesney 707,825 Total spins 2. Jason Aldean 643,771 3. Blake

Actually saw Dallas perform last night, he was the headliner at our Summer Thunder event for our radio station. He played a set just over an hour, and included three songs from his Default days. His Country album is excellent.

Awesome reviews! I am on my 3rd spin of the Poodles, this is pretty damn good. I love the anthem at the end for the Swedish National Hockey Team "En For Alla For En" Glad to hear you enjoy the Hess album. It's the only one I haven't spun yet.

Pretty Maids sounded great on first listen, I enjoyed Krokus as well. So far the Poodles stands out a little more than their previous efforts did on the first listen.
