Hi, Yeah, a reunion would be awesome even just for another live show... if only we hadn't 3500 miles between us. LOL! I'm in this video but not in the Firefest III but I'm sure Benjamin made a great job at the keys that night.. I moved to the US in 2006 just after recording Another Dawn. By the way, Andrew did try to get both Nexx albums to re-release them thru his label but collided ag

Hi! I was watching some "old" (2005) footage of Nexx the other day (fun times!) and I came to this cover of Alan Parsons Project's Eye in the Skype when we opened for TNT and Firehouse in Madrid. I uploaded it to Youtube. Maybe some folks here enjoy it... this is 100% live with all mistakes and all! :D But it was such a moment of high adrenaline for us, as we were all huge TNT fans

Hi, This is totally Transatlantic to me... it might not be as nice as We All Need Some Light but it is clearly in the same line. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D00q0yhmYZo Regards, Fran

Hi, I think it is virtually impossible to differentiate for bands. Take The Beatles, for example, they are both at the same time. So, I think you should go song by song, more than artist by artist, as the same artist can do pop, rock, jazz or whateverthehelltheywanttodo. Regards, Fran

Hi, Some of you might know me from my time in NEXX. I'm playing keyboards now for a new band called Scarlett Shadow based on the tiniest state of the US, Rhode Island. I moved out of RI recently to New York but nowadays distant is not an impediment to record. We keep writing and recording together. It's a really nice group of musicians which is a great pleasure to work with. The band is

Hi, Just finished reading Heart's new book Kicking and Dreaming. Great book that tells not only the story of the band and the Wilson sisters, with their greatest and lowest moments both personally and as a band, but also another view about rock history in the last 40 years. Totally recommended. By the way, they tell things pretty crystal clear... drugs, alcohol, bad relationships, weight issu

Hello, This is pretty funny but not, I have not changed my sex... yet... probably my wife would not agree on that decision LOL! Back to that Gods... What a great festival!!! We were there mainly because Phil, Bruce and Kieran... and that show gave us our first record contract with Now and Then... "Colours" came after that... then Now and Then bankruptcy... then we ended up in t

Hi, It seems that Bramhall does not care about this anymore. It was his toy for a while until he got bored, now he is playing with a new toy and writing in the internet forums related to his new toy, in the same fashion he was writing here when he was all excited about his (second) record label. Here is the link, maybe you can try there: http://www.gearslutz.com/board/photo-diaries-re

Hi, Yesterday we went to see Heart and Def Leppard at Mohegan Sun, Connecticut. Superb show by both bands... really, really nice. Good musicians, good songs, good sound, good lights, good crowd... awesome! And this is a tour where Heart is playing a good bunch of 80's songs, even with a reduced set list as they are the opening act. So, Aorsters... go to the show if you can... yesterday we h

Hi, Cool story... Steve, there are stations around Boston that put old but still cool stuff... a couple of days ago I was driving home and my tuner happened to find a station where they played Europe, Ozzy, very very typical 80's songs, I know, but still enjoyable... but I have always wondered why they do not mix them with newer stuff in the style or just change the songs of the same artis

Hi, Yep, the Colours situation is hard to understand. Now & Then sold it to Angelmilk, which means that Angelmilk actually paid for that. Then Angelmilk claims they have remastered it, with Pete Coleman, which means more money into that album... but not only they do not release it but when they say they are going to sell it to another label, they do not really do it and disappear from the

Hi, Well, you might already know the story: Bramhall said in this website in December 2010 that he would release all his Angelmilk catalog, including all the Nexx albums, via melodicrock records. Since that announcement, he disappeared once again. Not answering any email from me or Andrew, which is funny... how could Andrew is going to release anything if the guy that owns the masters does

Hi, Although sometimes it is complicated. One of the ways to detect autotune, when it is not properly done, is when the singers have a lot of vibrato. Vibrato models are way to fake for my taste in autotune systems... so, unless used very subtle, in some singers it is pretty noticeable. Another thing to focus is in the "chorusy-metallic" sound that it normally produces when ove

Hi, The same here with Nexx releases. Bramhall hasn't answered a single email in half a year after saying here, once more, that he would release the albums... maybe he was building a studio in Bin Laden's home? (One of the few houses in the world without internet)... Regards, Fran

Hi, Ah, the classic we are few but we have an identity vs now we are too many and we do not have an identity anymore syndrome. I love it! And the thing that I love more of that syndrome is that many times it is just in the listener not in the artist. Not always though, as we well know that the number of fans also affect some artists. Anyway, the artist can remain invariant but the fact o

Hi, Just to add that I went to see Stryper and Mass in Foxboro, MA. I had never heard anything from Mass before and I liked them... nothing new under the sun but solid hard rock with keyboards, catchy songs, nice stuff. First time I saw Stryper and I was impressed. Really heavy stuff and very well done... I was expecting the vocals to be not very good so many years after their hey day, but

Hi, I am a big fan of 80's Heart... my fav album is Brigade... and yes they play most of the 70's stuff in today's shows although in recent years I have listened to some of their 80's hits live like Wild Child, Alone, These Dreams or Never... but one thing is sure to me, they rock big time live... they are one of the most solid rock bands live that you can see. You might like the tunes or not,

Hi, I have the Over and Underneath album and it is very good... really nice to listen to... and yes, my wife likes it a lot as well... Funny that this song is called "You are more", because they already have a "You are"... Good band that I personally found thanks to Amazon suggestions after I got a Needtobreathe album...
