He's clearly knowledgable...but he definitely started to rub me the wrong way when I'd see him throw a hissy fit when he'd get an answer wrong on Stump the Trunk. Guy acts like a big baby.

The next 2 days are going to be so hard to get through. The first time I heard those soundclips I said to myself "This album is going to be something special."

I ordered mine from NEH Records and I will be receiving it on Saturday. I would have had it tomorrow but there was a mixup. Just FYI for next time...everytime I've ever ordered from NEH they've shipped the item out so I receive it on the actual Euro release date, even though I'm in the US. Can't wait to hear this one!

You have to click into the reviews section to see it. Perfect score. Reviewer nominated it as his Album of the Year. Can't wait for this. http://v2.metalreviews.com/

I love this album as well...I would suggest you check out Club Ninja as well. Like RBN it is more AOR-oriented. "Dancing In The Ruins" is a cool track. I happen to be a huge BOC fan so I enjoy pretty much everything they've ever done...but the aforementioned 2 albums are probably the most commercial ones in the catalogue.

Lep needs to record one more big album with Mutt Lange and then just tour for the rest of their career. Go into the studio for however long it takes and really put their all into something truly special. I would hate to think Sparkle Lounge is the album they'd go out on.

Probably another thread about this...but I couldn't find it. So...here are 4 albums that I'm most dying to hear in 2013: Pretty Maids - Motherland Queensryche (with LaTorre) - ? Masterplan - ? Avantasia - The Mystery of Time

Always one of my favorite bands. Super excited for this. Official Press Release from Frontiers Records: PRETTY MAIDS We are proud to announce That Danish Melodic Metallers PRETTY MAIDS are hard at work in the studio to give birth to the successor of "Pandemonium". The title of the new album will be "Motherland" and the band has not changed the winning production tea

Wow. I loved Some Other Suckers. I will admit their last album wasn't the best...but over time I've been able to pick 4-5 tracks out that I really dig. I just love Justin's lyrics. Guy's a friggin' poet. No, Surrender http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4b_dBMfBf0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVmtie4JlPQ

Love 'em. Also love Justin's solo albums. Probably one of my favorite lyricists of all time. There are a ton of great B-sides out there too. "A Better Man" in particular is awesome...hard to believe it never made it to an actual album. But yeah, they are one of my all time favorite bands...even though I can't stand "Roll To Me."

There are plenty of bands that are achieving a modern yet 80s hard rock sound...Wig Wam, Treat, Danger Danger (to name a few)....there's no reason Leppard can't achieve a big bombastic classic sound with a modern edge. Hell, look at the production job Mutt did on Nickelback's Dark Horse. Imagine if Lep had that kind of production on their next disc. That was totally modern hard rock...but steeped

Yeah, I realize he's a big fan...I believe he's used "rainbow shaker" a few times which is also used by Deep Purple. Me and a friend were just discussing the City Boy stuff though and I honestly didn't know if that sort of thing was just allowed or what. Interesting. Thanks.

Now I'm aware that JORN covered The Day The Earth Caught Fire from the album of the same name...but today I was actually listening to that album and realized he borrowed a few other things as well. For example in New York Times there's the line "spilling coffee on my shoe" which shows up in Masterplan's After The War...but most shockingly is the chorus to Ambition which is VERY similar
