I'm a huge Maids fan. I suggest grabbing Jump The Gun, Future World, Spooked, and Motherland. That's a pretty great cross-section of their early and modern work. You can't go wrong with any of their albums. They are one of the most consistent bands in the genre and have never released a bad record.

Totally agree. Wings Of An Angel is my favorite track and it should have closed the album out.

Being the massive Pretty Maids fan I'm surprised I knew nothing about this upcoming release! Hopefully this will the kind of AOR/Melodic Rock project Maids fans could only dream of! God knows Atkins can do that stuff brilliantly. Fingers crossed. Sorry for the other topic I started above...didn't even see this one.

Been a while since I've seen a thread like this. What are some hard rock/AOR albums that still haven't seen the light of day? It was thanks to a thread like this years ago that I was made aware of Tora Tora's Revolution Day (which has since been released). I'm just interested to see what's still being kept behind closed doors.

Yeah, I'd be happy if they'd just write another album with Mutt. No need to have him produce it if time is an issue, but at least get him in on the writing side of things.

I think my biggest problem with Man Enough is where it's placed in the album. Coming off of Dangerous it sounds really out of place.

I'd drop "Man Enough," "Battle Of My Own," "Energized," and "Blind Faith." The album should end with "Wings Of An Angel" in my opinion. It would be much better as a 10-track CD: Lets Go Dangerous Broke N Brokenhearted We Belong Invincible Sea Of Love All Time High Forever Young Last Dance Wings Of An Angel

Money believes they’d find a lot to relate to in his new material, which concerns midlife experiences like “breaking up with the old lady and hanging out in a hotel.” What?

Weird how this topic came up today. "I heard if wishes came true" by 90's girl group Sweet Sensation the other day and thought the solo was awesome.

Huge HLN fan here and I agree. Nothing comes close to the trifecta of Picture This, Sports, and Fore. Small World has some great tunes but there was far too much experimentation on it for my tastes. Bobo Tempo was and continues to be terrible. Hard At Play was a step in the right direction and I loved it at the time but these days there are only a handful of tunes I return to. I seem to re

I believe it's backstage stuff from the Motherland tour as well as archive footage from throughout the bands career. That's the real gold as most of that has probably never been seen before or seen by a very small percentage of the fan base.

Thanks for the heads up. Yeah, I'm digging some of the new lyrics though...happy they've updated these older songs rather than just re-recorded them straight. The biggest draw for me are the 4 new ones and of course the DVD.

Yeah, I too loved Planet Panic when it came out. I liked the heavier, darker style and was hoping they would go further in that direction. Looks like they finally are. Wake Up To The Real World I feel needs to be re-recorded in its entirety. I have never liked the production on that one...even thought the songs are great.

Probably not the place for this..and I apologize in advance...but, I figured some (if not most) of the members here might have kids and might be interested. Anyway, I just completed my very first children's book called NO BEES PLEASE! and it's available on Amazon and Amazon UK. Check it out: http://www.amazon.com/No-Bees-Please-Brian-Courrejou/dp/0615912109/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=13

From the Maids' Facebook page: PRETTY MAIDS NEW ALBUM LOUDER THAN EVER. Release date spring 2014. The album will consist of re-recorded songs from the era between 1995 & 2006. The reason for doing this project is to give those songs a different spin with the band and producer we have now. It is an in-between album until the band completes the next studio album with new tunes. This Album wi

He's clearly knowledgable...but he definitely started to rub me the wrong way when I'd see him throw a hissy fit when he'd get an answer wrong on Stump the Trunk. Guy acts like a big baby.
