I think there are a few songs that grab your attention quickly but the majority of the album took me a while to fully appreciate. In fact I'm still noticing stuff on different songs with each listen and it's all the better for it. Stand And Fight, the track you pointed out as not grabbing you is one of the songs I struggled with at first but after repeated listens it's got it's hooks in me. The

With you 100% Steve, I love the guitar fills in this track and I could imagine this as a show opener. It's one of many highlights on an amazing album.

Just listened again and I was more impressed second time around. Definitely has that ELO feel to it and I can see it appealing to fans of Mr Lynne's last couple of ELO albums. I think Joey Molland is in his 70's so not a bad effort considering.

Good question Terry and one I don't know the answer to but I'd take a guess that maybe LB has a personal beef with Rick Beato and doesn't want him using his songs. Pure speculation from me of course and I am probably wrong. Like you say, it makes no sense to block it on an individuals youtube account if you can still hear it on other youtube channels.

Production is really good Stef, dynamic and the mix is good. Sounds brilliant cranked up but when you don't want to disturb others, it's an album that will give your headphones a good workout :-). I forgot to mention, the guitar work is fantastic and Richie is a phenomenal player who brings his A game and gives Buck a run for his money. Here's one of Richie's songs that makes me think of the

I saw it listed on itunes a few weeks ago and listened to the samples but it was way too lightweight for my tastes.

Hi Stef They are one of my favorite bands of all time so I was really looking forward to it after 19 years without a new album. I was worried though that it might have turned out to be a massive let down. I think it's fair to say Eric Bloom's voice in the live setting isn't as good as it was but he's in his 70's so I didn't expect it to at the same level it used to be when they made albums on

It's a brilliant album and it amazes me how a band like BOC get few mentions on here compared to some of the generic stuff that some people drool over.

None of the Roth era albums are much more than half an hour. Diver Down being their shortest and weakest. Although there's good stuff on it, there's too much messing about.

If the band is selling signed copies of an album on their website I'll buy it if I want to. You can think it's weird all you want, it doesn't bother me.

Terry, you are not missing anything, they are a 3rd rate Motley Crue wannabee band. Bloody awful.

I couldn't pick 5 from each era but I definitely wouldn't have the 2 number ones from this guy's list. Like both of them but not above a ton of other VH classics.

Not everyone likes pubs. I don't particularly enjoy them. My dad, god rest his soul liked his drink and unfortunately it sometimes brought out a temper in him that put me off boozing. I vowed as a teenager that I wouldn't follow in his footsteps and never have. I will go to pubs occasionally but before covid, it was usually to have a family meal. Having said that I only ever waited outside ven

Agreed, it's a brilliant album and will probably be my number 1 this year. So much variation and lots of layers to uncover which offer up something you didn't notice earlier. A worthy addition to their catalogue and more than welcome return. And in other BOC release news, Frontiers will be releasing the remaster of 'Long Day's Night; and 'Live At Rock Of Ages Festival 2016' on 4/12/2020. B

I am not slagging the whole album based on the single. The song is pretty much a 'by numbers' filler track. I am glad there's a new album but just because they've released one song from it doesn't mean it's one of the best things they've done. I'll get the album and judge the rest of it after I've listened to it but in the meantime, 'Shot In The Dark' isn't giving me a warm fuzzy feeling. Glad

Definitely a lot of drummers who could play their songs. Having listened to the samples there are some that sound like they will be much better than the first track. Especially the 3 fast tracks.

I know exactly where you're coming from Adolfo. They had Jay Schellen who is a phenomenal drummer and replaced him for whatever reason with machines :-(

I know he's a master of timekeeping and he does have a swagger, I never said he wasn't good at what he does, but unfortunately what he does is very limited and monotonous. I appreciate, that it's his style and it's part of the overall sound of AC/DC but it doesn't make it exiting to listen to. He might be a genius at playing the same pattern at slightly different tempos depending on the song b

As much as I am no fan of programmed drums I would rather hear them on the Unruly Child than Phil Rudd playing the same repetitive beats again. I will get the AC/DC album as I am a collector but I honestly don't expect anything great.

He's the most monotonous drummer in Rock. I wonder if he's ever done a paradiddle or a fill, can't think of any songs in their catalogue where he does anything more than the most basic pattern.

I'm a big fan and am glad we are going to get a new album. However, the single is poor so I'm hoping for better stuff on the album. Also hoping Phil Rudd puts a bit of effort into his playing for once. I know he's like a human metronome but he's so boring.
