They were working together but Portnoy got fed up waiting for Sykes to get his finger out so it fell apart. Ritchie Kotzen came along and Winery Dogs was born.

It's Personal was released in Norway only on vinyl. There was a cd issue a few years ago. All of Slamer's work is great from City Boy, Streets, Seventh Key etc etc, the guy is one of the greatest guitarists on the planet.

itunes Japan, if you're not sure how to listen, got to the bottom of the front page of itunes, click on change country and click on Japan, search for Rick Springfield and off you go. Same process to go back to your own preferred site. Sounds good and I'll get it but it won't be getting anywhere my top 30 for the year I can say that now.

Hi Bruce You say there isn't anything fast on the Last in Line album, so what what would you consider the following songs to be; Martyr, Burn This House Down, I Am Revolution, Already Dead and The Sickness? These are just as fast and up tempo as anything on the Dio albums.

What a fantastic concert in Manchester on Thursday. Inglorious were tight, energetic and put on a great show. Looking forward to the album and the Toto cover was inspired, great version. Winery Dogs were amazing although Billy's bass solo wasn't needed. I'd seen all 3 members with other bands but this was the first time I'd seen them together as the Winery Dogs. Amazing musicians, great songs,

I liked the Shadow King but it was nowhere near as good as I was hoping it would be and that album definitely could have done with more variation in tempo. As for the Last In Line album, there's a lot of variation in tempo on it so surprised at your comment Bruce.

I'd love to know the thinking behind the pricing, ridiculous prices on this campaign.

John West era is my fave too> Although I like all the singers, John West raised the bar vocally. Very underrated singer and deserves a lot more attention. The Artension albums he sang on and all his solo stuff are great.

None of their songs are catchy? Is there something wrong with your hearing? Even if you don't like them, that's a stupid comment.

It's not for everyone but it's ticking the boxes for me. Yes, there are some things I would change but that's the case with most albums.

I said one of the best and it is in my opinion. There are plenty of solos on the record, not as many as on other albums but to imply he's nowhere to be found is overstretching things.

The solo on "New Beginning" is one of the best he's ever done.

Like you Terry I listened to all the Itunes samples just to get a feel for the album and it was obvious there was a hell of a lot to take in. However, you really need to hear the album properly because a lot of the samples cut before the tracks kick in properly. This is a much more melodic album (not that previous albums weren't) and of course it takes time to digest but for me after listening

Yes, it was released in Germany in 1993. There were also some official SAHB releases that had tracks from Fourplay spread across them as bonus tracks which was a crap idea but eventually it did come out as a stand alone release.

This is not what I was expecting to hear from these guys. It's ok on first listen but I hope the rest of the album is better and more in keeping with their usual style. Don't mind development but this isn't anything like them and had it not said on the video link who it was I would never have guessed it was Circus Maximus.

"Fourplay", SAHB without Alex (Sensational Alex Harvey Band without Alex). What a fantastic album this is. Wonderful original songs played by some of the best musicians in British rock. Still sounds amazing 39 years after it was released. They certainly don't make them like this anymore.

They could easily have recorded new songs over the last 10 years. Thery haven't played live every single day in that time. Even if they have to put another live album out they could have included some different songs, they've got more than 10 good ones.

I definitely won't buy it, can't really be arsed with acoustic versions anyway but this is just lame. Appreciate it's for a good cause but FFS mix it up a bit.

http://bravewords.com/news/foreigner-to-release-acoustic-album-benefiting-juvenile-diabetes Why can't these guys do something new? If Mick Jones can't or doesn't want to write new songs, then at least vary the tracks on these continuous live albums. So frustrating being a fan of this band :-(
