I wouldn't worry about it, if you don't like them, you don't like them, end of story. Other's won't like bands you like that are highly rated.

Just got the 2cd/dvd digipack and there is a slot on the inside of the front panel but there is no booklet. Should there be a booklet (there usually is with Frontiers releases) or have they just printed the packaging with the slot and decided not to do the booklet ? My copy was from Amazon and was sealed when it came.

Horrible. 1st album art was really good but this is very poor. Hopefully, the songs will be good.

Rubber was more powerpop and uptempo. Obviously it was Scarem in all but name but those 2 Rubber albums were going down a different route, different guitar tone, less of the vocal harmonies and big arrangements. With Harry's voice there are bound to be similarities but the new album is more like latter day Scarem with better songs, than the Rubber albums.

I don't think it's like Rubber at all, just typical Scarem and bloody good too.

I think he's played on later albums by them but he's toured with them a few times. One of my favourite drummers.

Andrew , I've suggested running some competitions/raffles for some memorabilia/ signed items etc. You must have lots of stuff but I can't recall ever seeing anything on the site.

BOC are more than worthy of being mentioned on here. There's absolutely ton's of melody in their songs. Sorry about the quality of the vid, it's the only one I could find from the period.

Samples on the label site. One album sounds like it's half decent but the one called "Rough Demos" sounds crap. Having said that there are only a couple of songs off each one but if these are the best you may want to hear more before buying them.

I've worked in the finance industry for 34 years and I can tell you for sure there are some people out there who are extremely rich and won't spend a penny. It seems the more they have the tighter they are.So it's no surprise to me Sammy Hagar wouldn't want to spend money on something that will make a loss even though it would be chicken feed to him.

I didn't want to investigate further after hearing the samples. This sounds exactly like the type of album that is good for what it is but would not get played much if I had it.

I don't expect albums to be instant at all and don't have to be hit with a "Big Chorus" to like a song. Rock music for me has many facets and a catchy song with commercial appeal is likely to be less of a favourite than growers and deep cuts. I like albums that take time to get into and offer up something new on each listen. These are the ones more likely to played more. I still like th

People should be able to make up their own mind if they want to buy an album or not. I find it sad that people choose to buy or not to buy based on someone else's opinion.

There's a great interview with Steve Stevens ( see link on front page) where he talks about the Devils Playground album. Steve wasn't happy with the more hard rock direction of this because for him it didn't appeal to the core audience of Billy Idol fans which back in the day were primarily female. He wanted to make a pop rock album with the guitar edge as opposed to a hard rock album. Billy was

I love Sammy Hagar, have since I first hear Montrose in the 70's and I've bought all his stuff. However, I have no desire to listen to this. I don't understand this fixation that some artists and bands have about doing acoustic versions of their songs. If the original songs were electric, keep them that way.
