I saw Aldo Nova support BOC as well, but at Manchester Apollo. He had a great band with him and I thought he was going to make it (I suppose he did really) as he was one of the best supports I have seen.

Yeah it used to be great as it was also a meeting place. Used to make arrangements there to meet up before UMIST or Jilly's rock club that night. There was always a fall back position which was Rosie's bar at 5.30 if suddenly deciding to go out on Saturday night. Called in practically every Saturday, couldn't buy stuff every other Saturday when Manchester United were at home as I didn't want to l

Yes. Going down Yanks in Manchester years ago I bought albums based on the cover and what the band looked like on the cover. Also who the producer was. It did help that the albums were cut outs and were cheap as well, so that if it was a mistake it didn't matter to much. I cannot remember which ones I bought, I could go in the attic and look as I still have my 400 albums.

Yet when I saw him at a Steel Panther show, on Halloween, at HOB Sunset Strip. He and his family couldn't be more accommodating to anyone who went up to them.

I was apprehensive after Show Business, but I have to say they have delivered with Rock Your Face Off. Even to the extent I can hear hints of the 1st couple of albums which is a bonus for me. Although I like all their output except SB. 20x's

Can anyone enlighten me to the venues that are worse in Manchester...so I can avoid those as well? At a push I can only think of Moho's in the Northern Quarter as a comparable venue.

I saw Burning Rain In Manchester and HOL a few times. How much did I know the guitarist or his name, about both the same.

Perhaps you can get those shoes that zip up the middle, they would be more comfortable.

I didn't even know Steve Stevens was now with Seb Bach again. When I saw SB last week, his guitarist was Brent Woods.

Isn't there a version of Blackfoot with no original members but endorsed by Rickey Medlocke. What happened to them!

As I previously said, when there is no Mick Jones in the band it will be a tribute band, albeit a good one. I can understand them wanting to carry the name forward as they will be able to charge you more for tickets than 'an evening of Foreigners music' I think peoples different views are entrenched on this, lol.

I'm happy to move forward, but no Mick Jones and it becomes 'an evening of Foreigner music'.

Perhaps Lou should sing the first four songs, then we can stop calling them a tribute band.

My least favourite venue, it always seems more packed at the back for some reason. Lets hope they play the Ritz or Apollo next time!

As Rattman said, I think it was KOTH support at the Apollo. I cannot remember them though.Perhaps I was in Brannigans in the Royal Exchange before heading up to the Apollo. It was the International II they played with Saigon Kick. I seem to remember a lot of climbing on the balcony there. As for the show last night, my wife and I really enjoyed it. Thought the band were in great voice and shap

We are going tonight as well. Saw them at the International, where they were excellent. Then a few months later at the Apollo, the girly screams had started by this stage and Extreme were average, I think they were believing there own hype. So I didn't bother when they played Gmex.

Well I think it is really good, granted it may be a bit to long. But at least the songs are there and they hark back to the early days. Better than the previous, over produced, Forevermore which sounded like they were trying to hard.
